KNEEL is a verb that can be used in combination with many things to increase their effect; skinning is a notable example of this. The Pray and Meditate verbs make the player kneel when used. Certain Combat Maneuvers, the Cleric spell Blind (311), and the Paladin spells Divine Strike (1615) and Judgment (1630) can force enemies to kneel, making them more vulnerable to followup attacks.

Kneeling confers a -50 AS/DS penalty and -25% avoidance chance from Block and Parry (as well as an unknown penalty to Evade).

Crossbow users uniquely benefit from a +30 AS bonus for kneeling, but still suffer the same defense penalties.
