Whisper mask

Whisper masks were released at Ebon Gate 5013. They have ambient messaging for the wearer, various scripts and shows up in/affects various parts of a character's feature description. The masks can hold gems in the eye sockets. This will change both the description of the mask and the eye color of the wearer.

Whisper masks weigh less than 2 lbs, can be worn with a feature concealer, and can be altered at a merchant (show description added as well).

LOOK (Mask)

A silver-edged white faewood mask is currently oriented to the left.  Each of its eye sockets holds a star ruby.

LOOK (Person)

You see XXX.
She appears to be a <race>.
She is average height.  She has scintillating <gems> for eyes* and <skin>.  She has <hair>.  She has a silver-edged white faewood mask over her face.

*Alternately, two different gems appear as mismatched glowing gemstone eyes while no gems in the sockets appear as empty black chasms for eyes.

Analyze

The creator has also provided the following information:
The mask can be altered with a long or a show, but long descriptions must be kept short.  The noun should not change from "mask," as it covers the entire face.

  PUT    - places a gem in the eye socket of the mask
  KNOCK  - removes a gem from the eye socket of the mask
  TILT   - tilts the mask to reveal the opposite eye socket

Usage

WEAR	You raise the white faewood mask to your face, and it latches on to your skin hungrily. After a moment of blinding agony, the mask settles onto your flesh like a second skin.	XXX raises her white faewood mask to her face, and it leaps toward the exposed flesh. After a brief struggle, the mask attaches itself to Maetriks's face.
REMOVE	You pry at the edges of a silver-edged white faewood mask. Pain shoots through your face and down your spine, as surely as if you had dug your nails deep into your flesh. Searing agony spreads across your face as the clinging mask slowly relaxes its grip upon you, coming off with a horrible, wet sucking sound. You are stunned!	XXX pries at the edges of a silver-edged white faewood mask, letting out a series of muffled grunts as she struggles to get free from its grip. Abruptly, the mask comes free with a horrible, wet sucking sound.
	Causes major head damage (rank 3) and can kill.
TILT	Your mask is currently oriented to the right/left. TILT it again within the next 30 seconds to tilt it to the left/right. You tilt your white faewood mask to the left/right.	XXX tilts her white faewood mask to the left/right.
	Swaps which socket the gem is going into.
PUT	You carefully push a star ruby into the right eye socket of the white faewood mask.	XXX carefully pushes a star ruby into the right eye socket of her white faewood mask.
	Places gems in the mask's eye sockets. This will also displace any gems currently in the selected socket and destroy them. Requires confirmation similar to KNOCK.
KNOCK	You are about to knock an uncut emerald out of the eyesocket of a silver-edged white faewood mask, which will destroy an uncut emerald. If you would like to do so, KNOCK on the mask again within the next 30 seconds. You knock on a silver-edged white faewood mask. An uncut emerald drops from the mask's left eye socket and falls to shatter on the ground.	XXX knocks on a silver-edged white faewood mask. An uncut emerald drops from the mask's left eye socket and falls to shatter on the ground.
	Removes gems from the mask and destroys them.

A wet, slathering voice bubbles up in your mind, saying, "The blood, the blood, where is the blood..."

A strained voice whispers, "Find us someone to eat."

A sobbing, tearful voice cries, "Free me, I beg of you."

A cackling voice in your mind shrieks, "They are coming, they are coming!"

You get the sudden sensation that there is something on your back.

A gentle voice whispers, "Even death may die."

A sobbing, tearful voice cries, "Not my fault. I did not want to..."

Hungry voices nearby moan, "There is no end to this torment. Only the blood can make us whole."

A choked voice groans, "Hide, me! The Shadow With Wings comes!"

Desperate voices in the back of your mind cry, "The taste of a dying breath... it is exquisite."

A knot grows in the pit of your stomach. You feel empty and hollow as a drum, but all you can think about is the salty, bitter taste of blood.

Random person in the room, including hidden persons

A softly sibilant voice rasps, "xxx" is plotting to kill you. I heard him. Strike first."
