Slabs of polished alabaster marble line the walls of the shop, veins of gold glistening in the pale light of a trio of silver lamps that hang from the domed ceiling. A pair of cushioned velvet-covered chairs rest on a thick carpet of woven silk that covers the elegant stone floor. Some dark mahogany bookcases that are filled with various books, tomes, and volumes line the side of the spacious room. Hanging by the entrance is a polished wooden plaque.

Below the triumphal gate, printed in smaller but still flame-edged letters, are the words "by Nazarr Csaba."

Bands of ornately patterned mithril run along the edges of each pale brown cover and the spine as well.  The gak suede cover has been brushed to a fine, soft texture, and square-cut pieces of asterfire quartz adorn the corners of the front cover.  Taken together, three lines of embossed script across the front read, "The Rescue of Lord Bleeds, from Yviara Na'Savar's chronicles of the early years of Eahlstan Hjeldin".

The fine black leather cover has been inset with several intricately etched pieces of deep grey mithril, forming a rather odd scene: a sleek cat reclines gracefully atop the chest of a dead cave troll, while a huge roa'ter burrows out of the earth in the background.  Twin pearls shine from the volume's cover to represent the cat's tilted eyes.  A line of Saramar runes has been engraved beneath the dead troll.

A heart-shaped moss agate roughly as large as a giantman's thumbprint has been set into the silvery haon cover.  The tiny pieces of preserved moss within the agate match the hue of the dark green silk lining the inner cover.  An oak twig bent from tip to stem in a circle has been engraved around the agate, with etched acorns and oak leaves projecting on both sides of the circle.  Beneath the engraved oak-twig circle, block lettering engraved upon the fine haon reads, "A Ranger's Heart".

Green, yellow, and brown pieces of jade carved to resemble the leaves, roots, and blossoms of healing herbs have been set into the engraved mithril cover.  In languidly curling script, the title reads, "A Pocket Guide to Herb Roulette" and the name "Odevalis Suhestial" has been engraved just below.  Where the fine jade inlay does not conceal the mithril, the blue-grey metal has been lightly etched with images of tumbling dice and falling coins.

The front cover bears the image of two dice sitting on top of an enormous heap of coins.  Such fine detail has been paid to etching the coins that the designs of their faces can even be seen, and tiny round pieces of onyx show the pips upon the dice.  The spine reads, "Sixes: Instructions on How to Play the Second-Best Party Game Since Terasian Craps", and the back cover displays a dark elven woman with long braided hair as she hastily sweeps gold and gems from a table into a large open sack.

While thin, the book is also oversized, its dimensions more appropriate to a folio than a tome.

Black enamel combines with shards of onyx and obsidian inlay to produce the image of a smoking, ruined city upon the blood-red cover of the volume.  Jet black damask lines the inner cover, matching the hue of the destroyed city depicted on the front and the black mithril covering the spine.  Two tear-cut rubies have been set along the spine, and writing engraved betwixt the rubies reads, "The Forgotten Faendryl and the Death of the Ashrim: by Ralkir Ralkir Reichtenstein".

Small silver sconces set with panes of frosted crystal decorate the gold-flecked alabaster marble of the walls. Set between the candelabra are dark mahogany bookcases, each filled with volumes in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Thick carpeting of rich blue silk covers the stone floors adding elegance and warmth to the space.

Lengths of white pumahide connect the hammered vultite covers, and pearl dust clinging to the vultite causes the silvery metal to shimmer slightly.  Pieces of deep red garnet have been set into the polished vultite to form the image of a thorny rose twining about a dagger-pierced heart.  Slanting script engraved below the design reads, "Mularos: A Study of the Arkati and His Religion."  Beneath the title, slightly smaller script reads, "By Tierus Morvaenus".

The scent of lily blossoms clings softly to the translucent vellum pages.  A pair of silver-edged willow leaves has been inked in the upper outside corner of every page, and each page's first letter has been carefully illuminated with emerald and silver paints.  Deep jade hues have been used for the elegant script coursing over the page, and the words on the page are as neat and precise as if each letter had been stamped from a mold.

Patterns of stripes, streaks, and spots executed in combinations of gold and black mithril flow over the surface of the book.  Although initially appearing chaotic, a rhythm to the pattern emerges when one long gold streak is recognized as the sunlight-splashed trunk of a tree, and then it only takes a moment longer to spy the calm leopard lounging across a leafy branch.  Rather than being spotted like the covers, the spine is pure gold, and it bears the engraved words, "Andelasian Art of the Hunt".

The hues of the crystals are such that the color of the leather is precisely halfway between the two, and a sideways figure-eight has been traced in silver upon the cover with one loop encircling each of the crystals.  Simple silver lettering above the twin crystals reads, "Walking the Path of Neutrality", while matching lettering below the crystals reads, "By Cappurnicus Calerous".

Two marquise-cut pieces of emerald have been set into the pure black ebony with the tilt, size, and separation of a distant panther's eyes.  A delicate tracery of etched lines surrounds the twin emerald eyes with the powerful body of the cat represented, though the etching is so light as to be almost invisible to sight and detectable by touch alone.  There is no other engraving or ornamentation upon the ebony; the spine and the back cover are flawlessly smooth and dark.

Pale beeswax candles perch atop silver stands that are scattered about the room. Large mahogany bookshelves cover most of the walls almost fully obscuring the pale marble that encloses the space. Woven carpeting of silk captures a mosaic of cool blues and greens while covering the floor and cushioning any sounds of movement.

A series of crystal-domed lamps on long gold chains hang along ceiling of the chamber above some dark mahogany bookshelves filled with a variety of books. Illuminated by the lighting above is a large oil painting that covers most of one marble wall.

The pentacle in the center of the cover is filled with crushed despanal.  Flowing down from the pentacle, the despanal forms the name "Despana" in bold lettering.  In the lower right corner, almost as an afterthought, it shows the author's signature: "by Maltreis Eilindel Faendryl".
