A general overview of Palestra training (log)
This event was held June 10, 2015 as part of the Faendryl Symposium. Log provided by Sparegris.
[A Silk Pavillion, The Gathering]
Swathes of rich claret-hued silk cover the walls of the pavilion, leaving the sides airy yet secluded. Several cushioned sofas and chairs covered with ebon brocade have been placed about a rich wool carpet. Hanging from the peaked ceiling are a trio of clear crystal lanterns suspended from dark steel chains. Set in the center of the gathering space to ward off the chill is a small marble firepit with a patterned basket of sticks sitting to one side. You also see the Durakar disk, the Aurach disk, an expansive carved basalt relief, a marble Palestra statue, a marble elven summoner statue, an imposing black and grey painting and a small ebonwood table with a polished silver platter on it.
Also here: Durakar, Aurach, Hypolita, Glyhne, Ambassador Tredohal, Arku, Lady Pulsegiver, Isola
Obvious exits: out
>curt tred
You curtsy to Tredohal.
Speaking in Faendryl, Tredohal says, "It would seem we have some unlucky ones here."
Tredohal says, "Welcome."
Aurach softly says, "Ambassador Tredohal Hashier Faendryl, for any that have yet to been introduced."
(Aurach gestures politely towards the ambassador.)
Tredohal says, "Good eve to you all."
Tredohal says, "It is a rare day to have Palestra out of the city as of late."
Tredohal says, "Especially these two."
A soft glow emanates from the crystal lantern.
Tredohal says, "The Patriarch was generous to assign one of his own to me for my travels."
Glyhne says, "Met one in Landing."
Glyhne says, "She did a lot for our city."
The spirit of Mystiq sighs softly, raising the hairs on the back of your neck.
Tredohal asks, "Why is there a body in here?"
Aurach softly says, "Closest priestess I know of."
Isola just nudged Pulsegiver.
Pulsegiver chuckles.
Tredohal says, "Please remove that..."
Pulsegiver says, "Not sure this is a good place."
Aurach grabs Mystiq's body and drags it out.
Speaking to Tredohal, Pulsegiver says, "My apologies."
Tredohal says, "Odd."
Speaking to Tredohal, Isola asks, "Sir?"
Aurach just moved quietly into the room, his group following closely.
High Lady Mystiq just went out.
Schalyne just arrived.
Schalyne turns to face Tredohal.
Lady Pulsegiver just arrived.
Tredohal says, "Ah."
Pratelas just arrived.
Speaking in Faendryl, Schalyne says, "Ambassador."
Schalyne bows to Tredohal.
>look at Schalyne
You see Schalyne Faendryl the Palestra.
She appears to be a Dark Elf.
She is very tall and appears to be in the prime of life. She has almond-shaped jade green eyes and dusky skin. She has shoulder length, thick silver hair shaved smooth on the right. She has a classical nose and tall upswept pointed ears. A series of ebon ravens have been inked on her bare scalp.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a worn grey velvet pouch, a leather eahnor-linked baldric with a dark bladed falcata and a long dark spike secured to it, some ebon mithril jazerant hauberk with crimson-washed links, a pair of fitted suede leggings, and a pair of dark leather boots with small mithril clasps.
Speaking in Faendryl to Tredohal, Pratelas says, "Ambassador."
Speaking in Faendryl to Tredohal, Pratelas says, "Ambassador."
Pratelas inclines his head.
Tredohal says, "Ah, yes, there you both are."
Tredohal says, "Ah, yes, there you both are."
>look at Pratelas
You see Pratelas Faendryl the Palestra.
He appears to be a Dark Elf.
He is tall and appears to be in the prime of life. He has mismatched smoke grey and glacial blue eyes and dark skin. He has long, grey hair with a black streak running through it. He has a narrow face, a crooked nose and narrow pointed ears. A single bear paw print has been tattooed in blood red ink behind his left ear.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a brushed silver bear suspended from a faenor chain, a shadowy black leather baldric with a dark bladed long knife and a dark bladed khopesh secured to it slung over his shoulder, a battered leather rucksack secured with lor toggles, some dark oiled leather set with faenor studs, a small velvet rune pouch, some flowing silk pants, and some polished knee-high black leather boots.
Tredohal asks, "Please, have a seat... you are able to sit yes?"
Speaking in Faendryl to Tredohal, Pratelas says, "Thank you, I'll stand."
Tredohal says, "I do not think I have ever seen you do so..."
Schalyne chuckles.
Tredohal walks over to the chair and settles down.
Tredohal says, "We have a few guests with an interest in you."
Tredohal says, "And your training and such..."
Speaking in Faendryl, Schalyne says, "I suppose there would be."
Schalyne nods at Pratelas.
High Lady Mystiq's group just arrived.
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Speaking in Faendryl to Tredohal, Mystiq says, "My apologies."
Pulsegiver folds her hands behind her back.
Pulsegiver smiles at Mystiq.
Tredohal asks, "Would you be willing to speak... in that common tongue for our guests who are not of our House?"
Speaking in Faendryl, Durakar says, "It is quiet nice to see two of my fellow Palestra."
Schalyne peers quizzically at Durakar.
Durakar unequips his skull-shaped greathelm.
Speaking in Faendryl, Schalyne asks, "Fellow?"
Speaking in Faendryl, Durakar says, "Aye."
Speaking in Faendryl to Tredohal, Pratelas says, "I would rather face an enraged vathor but if it is protocol I will attempt common."
Pratelas raises an eyebrow in Durakar's direction.
Schalyne turns to face Tredohal.
Speaking in Faendryl, Schalyne says, "As will I Ambassador."
Schalyne shrugs.
A smoky haze drifts through the air.
Schalyne says, "At any rate."
Schalyne says, "We are both Palestra who hace completed training in the City."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne ponders.
Yenko turns an inquisitive ear toward Schalyne.
Yenko raises his hand.
Speaking to Durakar, Pratelas says, "I do not remember you from any of my training classes."
Speaking to Schalyne, Yenko asks, "How many years does the training take?"
Lord Rekarth just arrived.
Speaking to Pratelas, Durakar says, "I was trained in one of the smaller academies."
Speaking to Yenko, Schalyne says, "It varies from person to person."
Schalyne turns to face Durakar.
Speaking to Durakar, Schalyne asks, "What is your academy?"
Speaking to Durakar, Schalyne asks, "Your class?"
Speaking to Durakar, Pratelas asks, "Rank?"
Durakar says, "I completed my training and became a Palestra in the year 5,111."
High Lady Maetriks just arrived.
Yenko glances between Durakar and Schalyne.
Durakar says, "Guard."
Schalyne shakes her head.
Speaking to Durakar, Pratelas asks, "Is that your rank or your class? Or perhaps your acadamy?"
Pratelas raises an eyebrow in Durakar's direction.
Speaking to Pratelas, Schalyne says, "Enough, I think there are others who wish to know about our training and our experiences..."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne says, "Since I seem to be the chattier of the two perhaps I will tell you something about myself."
Schalyne says, "I am Schalyne Faendryl."
Durakar whispers something to Pratelas.
Schalyne says, "I have trained in the Anaya Academy in New Ta'Faendryl."
Schalyne says, "Next to me is..."
Schalyne turns to face Pratelas.
Pratelas says, "I am Pratelas Faendryl."
Schalyne says, "You will notice we give no family name."
Pratelas says, "I have trained in the Shamsiel Acadamy in New Ta'Faendryl and presently instruct there as well."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne says, "Families gain recognition by having a trained Palestra in their family, but in reality, a Palestra severs all ties with their family."
Schalyne says, "Their academy and class become their family."
Schalyne says, "The lad asked about the length of training."
Schalyne says, "It does vary."
Schalyne says, "But you will sometimes find Palestra who have worked closely together temper their training to graduate together."
Schalyne says, "There is no shame in loyalty to one's brethren."
Schalyne smiles at you.
Pratelas says, "If I may, one does not simply put in a few years and claim the title of Palestra, it is earned and only bestowed when one is worthy."
Schalyne asks, "Yes miss?"
Speaking in Faendryl, you ask, "Is there a max time limit to training?"
Schalyne says, "I have never heard of a max persay."
Schalyne nods at Pratelas.
Pratelas says, "Nor have I."
Pratelas says, "Nor have I."
Speaking in Faendryl, you say, "Thank you."
Schalyne says, "But if one is deemed to be an unacceptable candidate they are either removed."
Pratelas says, "I suppose when one is no longer able to participate."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne says, "'where they are free to become common guards."
Schalyne says, "But most often, they disappear."
Schalyne says, "Or fade away."
Schalyne says, "We sometimes hear what happened to those who left."
Schalyne says, "Or seem them guarding caravans and such."
Schalyne shrugs.
Pratelas says, "I do not mean to seem harsh but once they leave the acadamy, they are of little concern."
Yenko asks, "Is each palestra's training unique or does each academy specialize in something particular?"
Schalyne says, "Each individual has different aptitudes."
Schalyne says, "And their training is tailored to them."
Schalyne says, "My training was dual in nature."
Schalyne says, "So it took me longer than some."
Yenko turns an inquisitive ear toward Schalyne.
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne says, "I learned to fight from my father."
Schalyne says, "But I had a talent for the mystic."
Schalyne says, "You will find we each had different training depending on our needs."
Durakar nods.
Schalyne says, "The training of a Palestra will normally take several years once they enter an academy. But in truth it begins at an early age. Families will generally choose candidates to groom for entrance hoping to be accepted into one of the three great schools."
Pratelas says, "I myself spent 12 years in the acadamy."
Yenko asks, "Did you also begin your training at an early age?"
Schalyne nods.
Yenko peers quizzically at Pratelas.
Speaking to Yenko, Pratelas says, "I did, though I did not realize it. Unlike most in the acadamies I was not raised in nobility. I spent my youth finding food and work where I could. A kind gentleman set me to tasks for food. These tasks were preparing me for the Acadamies."
Speaking to Yenko, Pratelas says, "The gentleman eventually sponsored my appointment to Shamsiel."
Schalyne says, "My once father had me practice in secret, as my once mother said a girl could not rise."
Speaking to Pratelas, Yenko says, "Very fortuitous to meet such a kind gentleman and future sponsor."
Speaking to Pratelas, Schalyne says, "I am much better with a sword than I was a needle."
Pratelas starts chortling.
Speaking to Schalyne, Pratelas says, "You best me some days."
Schalyne says, "I did, didn't I."
Durakar says, "Such an odd notion for a mother to have of their child."
Schalyne says, "Not really, as she had hoped I would rise in the Rachis or Clerisy."
Speaking in Faendryl, Maetriks says, "Some mothers prefer their daughters to marry and further the family through advantageous positioning."
Schalyne says, "I liked sword."
Speaking in Faendryl, Demyse politely remarks, "Salutations, to all this evening."
Schalyne shrugs.
Schalyne turns to face Isola.
Speaking to Schalyne, Isola asks, "Will the order serve any sorcerer, or only those of Faendryl blood?"
Schalyne says, "I am unsure if I have heard of an academy trained Palestra lowering themselves to serve someone not Faendryl."
Schalyne ponders.
Schalyne says, "I suppose it could happen."
Yenko raises his hand.
Schalyne smiles at Yenko.
Yenko asks, "You mentioned the Anaya and Shamsiel Academies, but what is the third great Academy?"
Schalyne says, "Ah the first academy."
Schalyne says, "Korthyr."
Yenko nods slowly.
Schalyne says, "It is considered the first as it has had the most accomplished Palestra graduate."
Schalyne says, "But that is all really."
Schalyne says, "The other academies have had great Palestra as well."
Schalyne says, "At the end of training, all academies come together for the great contests. Through these contests, Palestra are ranked against others. At the end of the games, each Palestra knows their worth and will makes the decision on which path to follow, private or public."
Schalyne says, "Most top ranking Palestra will take positions with those in high standing within the Basilica. These Palestra generally come from the top academies but from time to time the lesser will produce a Palestra of greatness who will rise high in the standings."
Schalyne says, "My ranking allowed me the choice of serving in the basilica."
Yenko leans forward.
Schalyne says, "'and I was asked to accompany the Ambassador on this journey to enlighten members of our House that live here."
Schalyne asks, "I understand one of the Blade have been in the west?"
Demyse nods at Schalyne.
Mystiq nods at Schalyne.
Speaking quietly in Faendryl to Schalyne, Demyse says, "Now trapped within a Shadow Realm."
Speaking quietly in Faendryl to Schalyne, Demyse says, "She, in a sense, offered herself so they many others could live."
Schalyne says, "So we have heard, as I brought a Harrower with me as well."
Speaking quietly in Faendryl to Schalyne, Demyse says, "She is still alive, yet to weaken from the experience to escape the realm inwhich she is now trapped within."
Schalyne asks, "And you know this how?"
Speaking in Faendryl, Demyse quietly says, "I was there."
Hypolita chuckles to herself.
Schalyne asks, "You are there with her now?"
Speaking to Schalyne, Mystiq says, "She was still alive when we were forced out."
Rekarth says, "Some months ago."
Speaking in Faendryl, Demyse quietly says, "Of course now. Yet, many others have heard her voice from beyond that realm."
Schalyne says, "One can only hope, but if she did her duty well, then there is no shame in her passing."
Pratelas says, "I would be wary of voices from beyond...demons are more intelligent than many give them credit."
Pratelas shrugs.
Maetriks nods in agreement at Pratelas.
Speaking in Faendryl, Aurach softly says, "Perhaps we can avoid challenging each other with non faendryl here to witness our enlightened kindred and greatness."
Speaking quietly in Faendryl to Pratelas, Demyse asks, "Indeed, but if even the smallest of chances of her being alive is possible. Is that not worth the attempt?"
Schalyne says, "At anyrate we can hope, but also honor her bravery."
Tredohal nods.
Yenko raises his hand.
Speaking to Demyse, Pratelas says, "To risk others only to confirm that she passed doing her duty is folly. Our duty is to protect life, not waste it."
Schalyne asks, "Yes lad?"
Schalyne peers quizzically at Yenko.
Pratelas turns to face Yenko.
Aeavenne smiles and nods in greeting to everyone present
Yenko asks, "During the great contests do the palestra fight each other to the death? and if not do they retain their standing for the whole of their service?"
Yenko glances between Pratelas and Schalyne.
Schalyne says, "We do not fight to the death."
Yenko says, "That would be a waste of all those years of training."
Schalyne says, "We fight to earn a rank of our skills."
Schalyne says, "And we keep our rank."
Speaking to Schalyne, Pratelas says, "If I may just add, though the fights are not to the death, death does unfortuantely occur on occasion."
Schalyne adopts an agreeable expression.
Schalyne says, "Sometimes."
Schalyne says, "But that is the exception, not the norm."
Yenko nods.
Maetriks nods at Schalyne.
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Speaking in Faendryl to Schalyne, Maetriks says, "Accidents happen."
Schalyne asks, "Yes miss?"
Speaking in Faendryl, you ask, "Are you retested for new ranks every so often? Or is the Rank for life?"
Deckits leans softly against Mystiq.
Mystiq smiles at Deckits.
Schalyne says, "Our rank is for life."
Speaking in Faendryl, you say, "Thank you."
Schalyne says, "I have only heard of those losing rank who went rogue."
Isola asks, "Does that mean they're no longer part of the order?""
Schalyne says, "If they are removed in disgrace they lose everything."
Isola nods.
Schalyne says, "And no Palestra will acknowledge them as an equal."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Mystiq asks, "If one dies doing their duty how are they honored?"
Speaking to Mystiq, Pratelas says, "There are ceremonies, however they are known only to those of the Order and we will not be revealing them here today."
Surleigh removes a thin piece of white chalk from in her ebony lace duster.
Surleigh vigorously rubs the surface of an antique silver-mounted chalkboard with the palm of one hand, rapidly cleaning the slate to make room for a new message.
Surleigh raises her hand.
Pratelas nods at Surleigh.
Surleigh shows Pratelas an antique silver-mounted chalkboard.
Schalyne says, "I might add that while our people feel no weakness between the positions of male and female."
Surleigh raises an eyebrow in Pratelas's direction.
Surleigh vigorously rubs the surface of an antique silver-mounted chalkboard with the palm of one hand, rapidly cleaning the slate to make room for a new message.
Schalyne says, "Many female lack the strength to complete training."
Deckits rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Pratelas says, "The lady had a question here."
Pratelas nods at Surleigh.
Schalyne nods at Pratelas.
Pratelas says, "Her question was, "What is the punishment for imitating a Palestra"."
Surleigh glances between Pratelas and Schalyne.
Pratelas says, "I am no legal scholar so I will only say this. Imitating a Palestra is a very serious offense to those of us who worked and bled to earn the title. The few incidences I have heard of did not end well for the imposter."
Durakar nods in agreement.
Surleigh looks thoughtfully at Pratelas.
Schalyne smirks.
Speaking to Surleigh, Pratelas says, "I hope that answers your question somewhat."
Pratelas smiles.
Holding an antique silver-mounted chalkboard steady in her left hand, Surleigh tightens her grip on a thin piece of white chalk and writes a short message upon the slate.
Surleigh glances between Pratelas and an antique silver-mounted chalkboard.
Schalyne says, "One's training can be a personal thing."
Pratelas glances at Surleigh.
Surleigh shows Pratelas an antique silver-mounted chalkboard.
Schalyne says, "Training not only consists of physical activities but mental and in some cases even magical. As well as meditation and other exercises."
Surleigh vigorously rubs the surface of an antique silver-mounted chalkboard with the palm of one hand, rapidly cleaning the slate to make room for a new message.
Schalyne says, "Please ask your questions, we are only in the city for a short time, and we will answer what we can."
Deckits says, "Forgive me if this was answered already,"
Deckits asks, "But what entails the selection process for training to become a Palestra?"
Surleigh folds her hands in her lap.
Schalyne says, "There is much that goes into it."
Schalyne says, "Much cannot be spoken of."
Deckits nods slowly at Demyse.
Schalyne says, "They involved physical testing."
Schalyne says, "As well as mental exercises."
Schalyne says, "And one is tested for magical abilities as well."
Schalyne says, "If they are accepted their training will be determined from these things."
Schalyne says, "When not accepted, they are sent on their way with an idea of where their skills lay."
Deckits asks, "Would anyone be able to undergo the trials? or request them? would it require nominations that need to occur from the current Palestra?"
Schalyne says, "One can only be tested in the City by the heads of our order."
Surleigh nods slowly.
Schalyne says, "Most do not hear of those being turned away."
Schalyne says, "It is kept private in their families."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne says, "I do not think I have ever heard of the elderly asking to be trained..."
Laelithonel leans softly against Alasatia.
Schalyne says, "Age."
Pratelas says, "Some might consider it a disgrace to be turned away or fail the training, but truly so very few achieve the training and even fewer pass it that it should not be."
Schalyne says, "Age would matter I suppose."
Pratelas says, "To provide some frame of reference, I was one of 4 to graduate from a class of roughly 500."
Aurach softly asks, "Do each graduates abilities vary in capabilities or would each have a minimum ... such as all could walk down the streets of auld ta'faendryl with ease or does it vary?"
Schalyne says, "I was one of five and the only female for several classes."
Schalyne says, "We vary depending on where our training took us."
Schalyne says, "Although we have the same physical training."
Schalyne says, "The same intellectual training in the knowledge of the valences and demons and such."
Schalyne says, "But when one thinks about how long we live as Faendryl there are still many of us in service."
Pratelas nods at Schalyne.
Schalyne turns to face Pratelas.
Schalyne asks, "Do you have anything else to add?"
Pratelas says, "To the question about strengths of graduates. As all members are individuals they will have personal strengths and weaknesses. That being said, even the lowest member should walk any street at ease."
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli asks, "Did I miss the whole thing?"
Speaking to Schalyne, Pratelas says, "That is all I have this evening."
Schalyne nods at Pratelas.
Aurach softly says, "Very pleased to hear the Palestra standards are being maintained..."
Schalyne asks, "Ambassador?"
Tredohal nods at Schalyne.
Tredohal says, "Palestra, thank you for coming. I know this is unusual for you to speak in public, you are such a private group."
Speaking to Tredohal, Pratelas says, "You honor us Ambassador."
Tredohal says, "As you honor me by serving me on this journey."
Tredohal stands up.
Surleigh glances at Pratelas.
Tredohal bows to Schalyne.
Tredohal bows to Pratelas.
Pratelas inclines his head.
Surleigh shows Pratelas an antique silver-mounted chalkboard.
Surleigh vigorously rubs the surface of an antique silver-mounted chalkboard with the palm of one hand, rapidly cleaning the slate to make room for a new message.
Surleigh nods once at Pratelas.
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli asks, "Since it is so quiet, is there an opportunity for one more question?"
Schalyne says, "Please one more."
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli says, "I was wondering if other legendary summoners were granted the right to hire Palestra."
Schalyne asks, "Other?"
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli says, "Abdullahi Hazalred Faendryl and the others mentioned in The Enchiridion Valentia."
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli says, "Yes, others."
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli says, "I am Allereli Lissina Faendryl."
Schalyne says, "Anyone can hire a Palestra."
Schalyne says, "Or have one assigned by someone who does."
Schalyne says, "Some choose to stay in the city."
Schalyne says, "As I have."
Durakar says, "There are several wandering that I've come across."
Schalyne says, "Those that choose to wander can be hired, their are their own masters, we are owned by no one."
Speaking in Faendryl, Allereli says, "It seemed to me to be more restricted, but thank you for clarifying."
Schalyne says, "Some choose private employment."
Pratelas says, "I have personally taken private jobs when I am not teaching at Shamsiel. Keeps me sharp."
Tredohal says, "Excellent."
Japhrimel says, "I'm somewhat surprised Shamsiel isn't here tonight."
Schalyne says, "Thank you for the opportunity Ambassador."
Schalyne asks, "If you have nothing else for us?"
Schalyne peers quizzically at Tredohal.
Speaking in Faendryl, Aurach softly says, "Should you have desire for a tour of auld Ta'Faendryl, while you are in the Nations, one can be provided."
Schalyne says, "Ah perhaps if there is time, I would like to see the old city."
Schalyne peers quizzically at Japhrimel.
Speaking in Faendryl, Pratelas says, "Most kind of you to offer."
Japhrimel asks, "If either of you had been with Thyrsos Kanigel Faendryl the night he had his asparagus-inspired breakthrough and the following chaotic rampage of death and discovery... how might you have handled that?"
Pratelas agrees with Schalyne.
Japhrimel says, "And apologies for arriving so late.. duty calls, and such."
Schalyne asks, "Under a table was it not?"
Japhrimel says, "Well, the later bits, yep."
Japhrimel says, "I guess it's more of a... where is the line between stupidity and greatness and madness and what sort of judgement call might one be forced to make. Do you kill the moron before he can do greater damage, or do you applaud the discoveries and then kill the moron for all the damage."
Schalyne asks, "Is this more a personal question?"
Schalyne says, "I believe the correct action was taken."
Japhrimel says, "It's subjective, I suspect, on what personal action might have been taken, in that scenario."
Japhrimel nods.
Japhrimel says, "Fair enough."
Schalyne says, "He should have reported his findings right away, weak sorceror that he was."
Schalyne says, "If he had, lives may not have been lost and perhaps more initial information could be gathered."
Japhrimel nods.
Speaking in Faendryl, Pratelas says, "I would hope that any member present at the first summoning would have reported it."
Pratelas shrugs.
Speaking in Faendryl, Pratelas says, "He paid the correct price for his failure."
Speaking in Faendryl, you say, "I know i would."
Alasatia just arrived.
Durakar nods.
Speaking to Allereli, Japhrimel asks, "Did you?"
Speaking in Faendryl to Japhrimel, Allereli says, "Did I report? indeed I did."
Japhrimel nods.
Schalyne says, "Thank you for your time."
Schalyne turns to face Pratelas.
Speaking in Faendryl, you say, "You have honored us with yours."
High Lady Maetriks just arrived.
Japhrimel agrees with you.
Durakar says, "Thank you both for coming."
Schalyne turns to those gathered and bows.
Isola says, "It's been a pleasure to meet you both."
Schalyne says, "Thank you Ambassador for having us."
Pratelas says, "Thank you all for sharing your evening with us."
Aurach inclines his head.
Pratelas inclines his head.
Schalyne turns around.
Mystiq says, "Thank you."
Schalyne just went out.
Pratelas just went out.
Durakar says, "As this is winding on down, I would like to extend an invitation to all Palestra here, as well as any interested in further discussing them, to meet this Feastday following the Ball and conclusion of this Symposium. I have secured the Library Aies Apartment as a refreshing place to retire to. If able to move a few things around, I might even be able to give a demonstration of a training kata if any who attend would like."
Tredohal stares at Durakar.
Tredohal says, "The only Palestra here have left."
Speaking to Durakar, Japhrimel exclaims, "I will be there, if I can!"
Alasatia smiles at Durakar.
Durakar says, "There are many Palestra walking the world, they are not the only ones."
Tredohal says, "None of who are here in this room."
Karluth glances around the room.
Durakar says, "There is one at least."
Tredohal says, "No there is not."
Demyse casually observes his surroundings.
Tredohal says, "Now as we move on."
Tredohal turns to face Japhrimel.
Japhrimel waves.
Speaking in Faendryl, Durakar says, "I am not sure what malady has afflicted our people and made them forget so many of the Palestra that trained within the City and then ventured into the world as I myself did. But do hope to one day remedy it."
Tredohal says, "And perhaps I will meet them."
Tredohal says, "But since there are none here now that will have to be another day."
Japhrimel says, "Feastday, apparently."
