Closed for Repairs

Walking up the Var, Curator Zenlynn smiled at those she saw. For the first time in days, people were out sweeping their steps and watering their gardens. The nervous and angry expressions of the past week had melted away. Noticing the Sapphire Guard moving up the street, she nodded and exhaled at the welcome sight.

As she strolled along, the Museum Alerreth came into view. Moving closer, Zenlynn paused to take in its majestic structure. The towering height of the beautiful glass building always made her feel small and insignificant. Approaching the front doors, she suddenly stopped. A jagged crack branched out over one of the thick panes of glass. Making her way closer, she inspected the area for the source and found a hole at the base of the lightning-like pattern.

The curator sighed loudly while rubbing her gloved hand. Taking a step back, she pulled a notebook from a pocket in her coat. Rummaging though the garment, she found her quill and a small jar of ink. Sitting on the ground, Zenlynn took the time to sketch out the damage and make a list underneath her picture.

Standing up, she noted another group of guards marching by. As the captain nodded to her, Zenlynn nodded back before entering the museum. Going straight to her office, she pulled out a large piece of parchment and wrote on it in bold letters. Walking back to the entrance, she turned the key and put up a sign.
