Appearance

You see Brother Aoden the Priest of Lorminstra.
He appears to be a Human.
He is average height and has a sturdy, broad-shouldered physique. He appears to be in the prime of life. He has green-flecked hazel eyes and dark olive skin. He has moderately long, thick golden brown hair drawn back into a loose knot of springy curls at his nape. He has a stubbly, square-jawed face, a prominent nose and a neatly trimmed mustache.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a plain black wool mantle, a small golden key strung on a lengthy leather cord, a long black cotton tabard over a white linen cassock with voluminous sleeves, a twice-wrapped wide saffron silk sash, some loose black linen pants, and a pair of square-toed dark leather shoes.

Ambients

A gust of wind swirls through the tent, sending its silken panels flapping and thrashing against their bindings. Brother Aoden bites back a curse and catches a teetering flask before it tumbles off the table.

Brother Aoden takes a moment to jot down a few notes before tucking both quill and papers back into the cavernous depths of one sleeve.

Brother Aoden hums a meandering tune as he tidies up around the tent.

Brother Aoden gazes about with an open, friendly expression.

Whorls of silvery mist glide between the gaps in the tent's silken panels and catch Brother Aoden's attention. He traces a glyph on a nearby tent support, and the gems set within it and several other posts flare brightly. The mist visibly recoils, retreating from the tent's wards.

Quest of Brother Aoden

Brother Aoden's Shrine

Mountain peaks loom high above this natural hollow, thrusting their craggy heads toward the starry sky. Here, windblown whorls of powdery snow drift thinly beneath a crest of stone that shelters a black banded onyx obelisk ringed by curved stone benches. An uneven pathway of stone steps, dark and weathered, meanders through the thickening snow pack downslope to disappear among rime-laden evergreens. You also see a mist-swirled portal limned with golden light.

Obelisk - Set upon a base of pitted white marble, the bulk of the black onyx obelisk is polished to a nigh-reflective gloss. Close-set bands of purest white describe rippled arcs through the stone. A single line of poetry has been carved into each of the obelisk's four faces and inlaid with gold, the stone around the words worn dull by the touch of countless fingertips over time.

Deliver us, O Shepherdess,
If fate should lay us low.
To our rebirth, or to our rest,
At Winter's breath, we go.
