Denaru sells a variety of jewelry items upstairs in Kahlyr's Precious Gems. Denaru works for Kahlyr, and many of items for sale were crafted by her.

Description

Elegant and angular as any of elven lineage can be, Denaru's poise and demeanor suggest a noble rather than mercantile upbringing.  His competence in the field of fine jewelry is a natural assumption, since his attitude and diction indicate an expertise in all things genteel.

Ambients

"Are you aware that citizens of Vornavis frequent our shop?" asks Denaru.  "Why, even Baron Dunrith Malwind himself has examined our wares, searching for a fitting gift for his daughter's birthday...and he did not go away empty-handed, I might add."

Denaru draws a snow white handkerchief from the sleeve of his doublet and wipes a smudge from the glaes pane of one of the display cases, then tucks the handkerchief once more into his sleeve.

Denaru lifts a large dwarf-cut blue sapphire from the display case and polishes it meticulously with a chamois before returning it carefully to its place of honor in the center of the case.

Denaru lifts a strand of golden pearls from the display case and offers them to a customer to try on, adding,  "Might I say, dear lady, with your complexion and the delicate line of your throat, these will look exquisite!"

Denaru picks a bit of lint from the sleeve of his doublet, then smooths the fabric with a quick brush of his fingertips.

Denaru rearranges a pair of black pearl earrings in a display case and smooths the layer of black velvet to either side of them.

Denaru stands behind the display case with his hands clasped behind his back, waiting for that glance or lift of the head that might signal a need for assistance from one of his customers.

Denaru tugs gently at the hem of his waistcoat and smooths his cravat with a habitual sweep of his right hand.

"If there is anything I can help you with, please say so," suggests Denaru with a smile.

"Kahlyr crafted most of these herself," Denaru smiles proudly and says, as he indicates the contents of the display cases with an elegant sweep of his hand.

"Most often folks tend to take eye color into consideration when selecting a piece of jewelry, but complexion and build can also be very important aspects to consider," suggests Denaru.  "Then again, some folks simply fancy a particular kind of gem or metal."

"One of the frequent honors of my position here," comments Denaru with a genuine smile, "is in the opportunity to assist young lovers in their choice of rings to symbolize their feelings for each other."

"We stock a wide variety of jewelry, including items expertly crafted from treasures provided by Niima's grace and generosity," says Denaru with a smile.
