Subject: Winter's Chill

He rolled out of bed with a groan. The bite of cold in the air was his first clue that the fire had gone out while he slept and, not for the first time, he bemoaned his life as a bachelor. Huddled over the hearth, he carefully built the fire anew, ruminating on his regrets. If only she'd returned his affections, if only independence was not her guiding principle, if only he hadn't said... that thing. He might have had Belshyve to help him stay warm at night.

Still, he needed to get paid and the unreasonable winter that had arrived in Bloodriven, with its blisteringly frigid winds, miserable amounts of snow, and bone-breaking ice patches would not deter him. He ate quickly, dressed, and stepped out the door, pulling the collar of his navy blue coat more tightly closed in a futile attempt to keep out the bitter wind. The snow crunched underfoot, and the thought crossed his mind that the extraordinary chill of winter this year might not be an entirely natural occurrence. He shrugged at the idea. It didn't matter, he had work to do. Adjusting the shiny gold badge pinned to his lapel carefully, he set to preparing the arena approach for the onslaught of adventurers soon to be arriving.


OOC Note: Winter is coming to Duskruin! Look for new winter-themed wares, some spruced-up rooms, and the creatures in the arena might look a little icier than usual.

Subject: Tucked Away at the River's Edge

Deciding to stay for a much longer time to learn all that they can from the town of Bloodriven, the Kraet have created a small encampment on the river’s edge. Surrounded by mostly shrub-brush, brambles, and grass, the small clearing houses a large bonfire and benches for gathering during the cold Bloodriven nights, as well as offering a variety of comfort foods to share. Branching off from the main clearing, there are several shops in this area brought to you by the Kraet.

Be sure to visit and enjoy the atmosphere!

Subject: Duskruin Updates

Hey gang, I have some updates I've been working on. Just going to list each with some notes.

We are removing the group bonus to bloodscrip. We felt pretty strongly about giving an incentive to players who wanted to join up and enjoy the arena together, however, it also created an unfair advantage for those that didn't group up or those who didn't use multiple accounts. We aren't removing the bonus 25 bloodscrip though, we're increasing the ceiling to 300. The currently formula for the arena is 9 * round. You earn +50 for winning. The new formula will simply be 10 * round. Same for winning.

With this update, we'll be increasing the ceiling in the heist from 260 to 280, but reducing the artifact sellback slightly to average it out to being closer to 300 like the arena. The sewers will also have a slight bonus to the base bloodscrip you can find, which is currently between 15 to 30. It will now be 15 to 32. That +2 will also impact caches. The cap cache will be going from ~20,000 to ~21,000.

The arena will now have some wintery themed opponents for February. Nothing else about them has changed.

The pending TITLE revamp will be going live, with all the Endless titles that were announced last time. If you participated in Endless before the changes and have Legacy stats, you'll get those titles as well.

We have a new Legendary Bloodrune this run, and matching cloak.

We are going to be doing a new format for a lot of the higher end Mania stuff. Instead of it being a live event, we're moving the higher end stuff to an automated auction of sorts. We're also going to be trying out the piles again that you can search for something for bloodscrip, limited to once per character. The reasons for these changes is it was becoming increasingly difficult to be able to do something for everyone that showed up. And it was also difficult for me to run it for 4 to 8 hours, not counting the prep time. There still may be some shenanigan's, but we also want to make sure we can do more for more players, and automation is the key there. More on this new format soon!

There are also some other things in the works. I am buttoning up some final bits of code, and once I know for sure about some of this, I'll announce even more!

If you participated in the 2021 August's run, and were part of Secret Mania, it will be very similar to that pile situation. These aren't like EG or anything. They mimic the door prizes that we do. So things like the mangled spoons, Adv Guild packs, Quest Nexus orbs, Reim orbs, RPAs, or the capsules. There were other things too. We made it 1,000,000 silver to search. I think my announcement mentioned bloodscrip. But I believe we're sticking with silver. That's what happens when you get old and switch out words.

Hello,

Ice Patch Skates will be offered in the shop Blades of Glory at Duskruin this run. They will be sold in the Kraet Encampment.

There will be unlock certificates to bring the skates from Tier 1/OTS to Tier 2 and Tier 2 to Tier 3.

Also, thanks to the generosity of GM Tamuz, Snowball Satchel unlocks from OTS to Tier 1 will also be available.

Surrounded by incredibly tiny blue and white ceramic tiles along the edges, the face of the roughly tambourine-sized and shaped box is fashioned from thin panels of brightly lacquered lacewood. Cobalt blue runes connect three small round holes that form a triangle with a larger hole in the center. Each circular space houses a whalebone disc that can easily spin on a steel axle. One smooth edge of the box is painted sky blue and houses a coin slot.

The three smaller discs appear blank, as does the larger disc in the center.

You take a closer look at a bone-inlaid mahogany box. You analyze the mahogany box and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

The Chance Box is a portable gambling game for silvers. To play, put the box on the floor to establish ownership and deposit silvers into the "House Bank," which can hold between 400 and 2 billion silvers. Others may then bet and spin the discs for a chance to win. While on the floor, the box will remain safe for about 15 minutes after gaming ends. Only the owner may pick it up, and doing so clears ownership. The House Bank must be empty first. READ the box for gameplay and payout information.

Subject: Duskruin Teaser - Buccaneer Skirts and Spyglasses

Stocked for their maiden voyage in The Yarrrpee Shoppe... A new line of skirts and spyglasses for those who appreciate the brinier things in life.

Both skirts and spyglasses have different messaging for some verbs when used either on land, on the deck of an ocean-faring ship, or below decks. The ship referred to in this case can either be one of your Open Sea Adventures vessels, the OSA intertown ferry, the Glaesen Star, or the Smuggler's Cutter. Some verbs vary slightly based on whether it is night or day, your complexion, or whether or not you're wearing additional leg covering, among other things.



SPYGLASSES!

Spyglasses/telescopes DO work properly when PEERing on an OSA ship. They can be altered, and can have their strap material and an embellishment customized by any willing merchant.

PUSH (on the deck of a ship, during the day): You tighten the brass segments of your spyglass, brushing away the salt and moisture from the golden eyepiece covering the bands. You raise the lens to the level of your eye, adjusting the focus as you gaze out over the effulgent waters.

PULL (on the deck of a ship): Tivvy grasps her silver-inlaid spyglass firmly in one hand, collapsing the brass segments while carefully cleaning the golden eyepiece of salt and water. She finishes her task, brandishing her silver-inlaid spyglass toward the sea.

POINT MY SPYGLASS AT <PERSON>:

(One random option) You raise your spyglass to one eye and point it at Brunette, blinking as you focus on your target who is suddenly much too close, scrutinizing the forest of his curly brown tresses in search of vermin.

(Another random option) You raise your spyglass to one eye and point it at Brunette, blinking as you focus on your target who is suddenly much too close, imparting intimate acquaintance with the pores in his ivory skin.

(Third person) Tivvy points her spyglass at you, and you see a comically magnified hazel eye blink at you through the lens.

WEAR (with a belt on): Tivvy deftly collapses the segments of her brass spyglass, twisting it firmly before affixing it to her leather belt with the stamped ebon leather strap.

REMOVE: Tivvy casually flicks the stamped ebon leather strap holding her silver-inlaid spyglass, allowing it to fall briefly before deftly catching it with a dramatic extension of her arm, extending the brass segments to full-length.



SKIRTS!

Skirts can be altered and their straps, thigh-sheath, and fabric can also be customized by willing merchants. They can hold a single dagger in the attached thigh-sheath.

Some of the verbs:

WEAR: Tivvy leans down and slips casually into her skirt, her fingers brushing along each knotted black leather strap as she buckles them in place.

INSPECT (with a dagger in the sheath): You look closely at Tivvy, examining a bustled skirt of raw emerald silk adorned with long plumes. Peeking out from beneath the emerald silk fabric of Tivvy's skirt, you catch a glimpse of a faenor-riveted suede thigh-sheath and the glint of alexandrite.

PULL (on land, with an alexandrite dagger in the sheath): Tivvy strides forward with intent, the high slit of her skirt revealing a flash of alexandrite as she unsheathes her dagger from her faenor-riveted suede thigh-sheath. She brandishes it in a fluid arc before flamboyantly finishing with an elaborate "T" slashed in the air.

RAISE (on land): You pinch the emerald silk fabric of your skirt, lifting the hem slightly, and do a few adroit steps of a quick, whirling jig.

RAISE (on the deck of a ship, with bare legs): You lift the hem of your skirt slightly and feel the sea breeze catch the emerald silk fabric, whipping it tempestuously around the bare freckle-sprinkled pale skin of your legs. You loose a jubilant whoop as you revel in the primal thrill of maritime power.

Subject: Knit One, Punch Two

The last shop in the Kraet Encampment is a knitting shop. It will sell three new types of yarn that will be unique to Duskruin:

Fleece: A soft, warm, and wooly yarn from sheep, goats, etc.

Chenille: Although tricky to knit with, this yarn has an attractive appearance and velvety texture.

Heather: Blended from a number of different-colored or dyed fleeces, and then spun.

There is also a new set of knitting needles that will create a pair of trukt, which are gloves for use in unarmed combat. They have many zests innately built into them.

High End Scrip Shop

We are updating the refund policy on item and service purchases at Duskruin.

Our refund fee will be 10% flat for now on. We're also tightening the timelines here. HESS purchases can only be refunded within 24 hours of the service being applied.

Here is a list of other refunds.

  • No refunds beyond 24 hours after general purchases. No fee on purchases made within 24-hours that are a mistake.
  • No refunds on items purchased during previous runs. This has always been the policy, just repeating it.
  • No refunds on Mania or Trove items. This includes refunds on other items because of your Mania/Trove win.
  • No refunds on WPS services. If you make a mistake on type, please ASSIST.

Subject: Duskruin Teaser - Beyond Barriers

No matter the world, it always had fools.

Within moments of his arrival, the giants came. They towered over him like ancient trees, some even gnarled and bent like the blood oaks of the Deadfall itself. Their faces were grotesque at best, huge foreheads, large noses, small brains. Their weapons were crafted out of the very rock beneath his feet. Undoubtedly, he would feed that very earth with their corpses, letting the ground drink of their blood.

The first giant howled, then shouted a few commands that sounded like he was grinding sand between his teeth. The harrower was no stranger to their kind, but the sound of them speaking would never stop irritating him. He narrowed his marigold eyes and motioned with two fingers, daring the enemy to engage.

The behemoths charged, quickly crossing the distance, and roared into battle. The dark elf raised one hand as ribbons of ethereal bluish-green light burned into existence, swirling around his hand rapidly before forming into a deep black rune-etched sword. Soon coils of the same light burst out of the surroundings and twisted about his form, spinning chaotically until they shaped into some deep black leathers.

The lights did not slow the giants’ approach and the first two swung wide, bringing great stone hammers down towards the harrower. Several archaic sigils flashed along the dark elf’s armor and gnarled ethereal vines erupted form his body, lashing out at the two giants like glowing coils. Streams of yellow-white and purple-black energy ripped through the monster’s bodies, disintegrating their flesh, and burrowing through their bodies. He easily stepped aside as their lifeless, fragmented corpses fell with a thud.

The other giants began to circle him, each one more cautious now than before. But Ersix Severus showed them no mercy. He sliced through the air with his blade, the very sky darkening like a bruise before ripping open into a wide gash. A torrent of misty shadows spilled out of the hazy fissure, enveloping the head of two giants in a nebulous sphere of shadows. They bellowed in response, clawing at the darkness around their faces. He swung again, further serrating the skies as a curtain of powerful winds broke through the rifts, colliding with the blinded giants and slamming them to the ground.

Another giant rushed in, screaming with rage. The dark elf spun fluidly and with one word his blade crackled like shifting ice and the metal faded to a frosty opaque hue. Barbs of black ice burst out of the air, sinking into the monster’s flesh like venomous fangs. The creature’s legs froze, encapsulated in ice and stopping his charge. The harrower swung fast with his blade, tearing a deep gash into the giant’s stomach. As the metal bit flesh, it sparked with power and curls of bluish-green light struck the giant, then another stream of bluish-grey light, then two more powerful blasts of energy and the giant fell face to the dirt.

A frothing trio of giants pressed in, caution to the wind, all senses lost to the blood lust running through their veins. Ersix danced between them, dodging their heavy strikes, slipping away just mere seconds before their weapons hit. A rune flashed along his armor and the dark elf’s body began to blink in and out of existence as he continued his whirling, while the sky above bled to a citrine glow. The giants persisted, their stone hammers passing through the dark elf as he moved between worlds.

He tired of the game. The cat no longer wished to toy with the mice. The harrower’s body solidified for just a moment before it collapsed into a swirl of ethereal mist, where it swirled away before the dark elf reformed behind one of the giants. His blades tore across the giant’s legs, sending him lumbering to the side before another clean strike cut through its thick neck and sent its lumpy head rolling away.

The remaining two giants stood, spending the last few seconds of their life debating between fighting or fleeing. Ersix Severus the Harrower finally smiled and touched a rune upon his armor. Ethereal slits breached the air around him as humid winds stirred forth. From out of the planar fissures came dozens of razor-sharp verlok feathers, ripping into the world and launching towards the giants. The deadly volley tore into the monsters, flaying their flesh as they tried to scramble away, one falling right after the next in a bloody onslaught.

The harrower’s armor melted off his form like heated wax, quickly dissipating into the air as he stepped over the corpses, one by one, continuing his journey beyond barriers.


I’m happy to announce a new shop coming to Duskruin in February! It is called Beyond Barriers and it will sell the all-new Valence Weapons and Valence Armor! Each will have several abilities (only some of them showcased in the teaser above). There will also be some set abilities when using both as well! I will release more details as we get closer to the event! I would like to give a giant-sized shoutout to GM Mestys who without his coding ninja abilities could not have made these happen!

As promised weeks ago, here is the full reveal of Valence Gear, newly introduced for the Feb run and exclusive to Duskruin!

Harrower Ersix of the Extrachthonic Cartographer’s Guild has harnessed his magical studies and dimensional powers into creating valence gear, in the form of blades and armor. You will find a vast assortment of bladed weapons and armor at the new shop, Beyond Barriers, at Duskruin in Feb! Why settle for just one valence? Grab a little slice of all worlds!

The weapons and armor are all 5x. There will be several one-handed and two-handed bladed weapons available, and almost every armor type. Valence gear may be freely altered or lightened by any merchant.

The blades have the default ability to fire off Disintegration flares, up to 4 times per strike based on tier level. The first strike is standard flare chance, with a 20% chance to fire a 2nd time at Tier 2, a 15% chance to fire a 3rd time at Tier 3, and a 10% chance to fire a 4th time at Tier 4.

The armor’s first ability, “Lash of Lorae’tyr” throws out new reactive “temporal” flares that cause disintegration damage plus adds Roundtime to the target (slowing them down.)

Below you’ll find every tier verb and ability and a quick breakdown of what they do. There are also 2 set bonus abilities detailed further below as well.

Valence Blades:

Tier 1 Verbs: DROP, GET
Tier 1 Ability: Slice of Shien'tyr (WAVE) - An AoE SMR attack to reduce foes' defenses, by -30 DS temporarily.
Cooldown: 6 minutes (-1 per tier above 1, minimum 3 minutes).
Tier 2 Verbs: POKE, TOUCH
Tier 2 Ability: The War Winds (RAISE) - An AoE SMR attack to knock down foes. Up to 5 creatures or a player.
Cooldown: 5 minutes (-1 per tier above 2, minimum 3 minutes).

Tier 3 Ability: The Void's Grip (POINT) - An SMR attack to do cold damage and root a foe in place.

Cooldown: 30 minutes.
Extraplanar Bane Affinity - Increases potency of extraplanar bane by +10 AS.
Special Ability: Incision of the Igaesha (TURN) - Only available when used in conjunction with Valence Armor
Allows for follow-up double attacks for 60 seconds, based on the average total
tiers unlocked between the weapon and armor.
Cooldown: 60 minutes (-5 per total unlocked tiers, minimum 20 minutes).

Tier 1 Verbs: REMOVE, WEAR
Tier 1 Ability: Lash of Lorae'tyr (Passive) - Reactive Disintegration flares + RT.
Cooldown: Standard flare rate.
Tier 2 Verbs: POKE, TOUCH
Tier 2 Ability: Surge of the Rift (PUSH) - HP/Mana regen buff for 15 minutes. (+5 per tier, maximum +20 HP/Mana).
Cooldown: 60 minutes.
Tier 3 Verbs: PROD, RUB
Tier 3 Ability: Shroud of Shien'tyr (PULL) - Summon Darkness and bestow a defensive effect. Adds a Darkness effect in the room and hides the player with a +25 DS/+15 TD defensive effect.
Cooldown: 10 minutes (-5 per tier above 3, minimum 5 minutes).
ier 4 Verbs: CLENCH, TAP
Tier 4 Ability: Light of Kol Tar'sken (BESEECH) - Continual Evasiveness for 10 seconds.
Cooldown: Twice per login day.
Special Ability: Volley of the Verlok (KNOCK - Only available when used in conjunction with a Valence Weapon
Releases a number of SMR attacks on a target, based on the average total tiers
unlocked between the armor and weapon. Inflicts Blindness on the target.

The air around your rune-etched handaxe begins to shimmer and the blade flickers in and out of existence for a few brief moments.

Subject: New updates to Animalistic Spirit headdresses - Animalistic Apparition and more

Animalistic Spirit headdresses are getting a few new tricks that you can unlock this Duskruin. In addition, a better variety of off-the-shelf headgear has been added to the shop, Heady Spirits, this year, including functional helms with and without neck coverage.

There is also a new overall type of headdress available - hoods and cowls. This simply changes relevant messaging so it looks correct when wearing/removing. This type is available to fluff headgear, as well as functional helms that allow the noun "hood" (mainly, I believe, leather greathelms with head/neck coverage).

An example of a hood/cowl (fluff version) in how it looks in the features:
You see GameMaster Avaluka.
She appears to be a Giantman of the Yachan Dai.
Drawn up over her head is a peaked black linen cowl, the edge partially shading her features. Sewn to the top of the cowl are a pair of triangular pieces of cloth made to look like pointed ears, thick stitching running along their edges to make them stand upright.
She is taller than average and has a willowy figure. She appears to be very young. She has long-lashed blue-green eyes and alabaster skin. She has long, thick light brown hair. She has a heart-shaped face and a sloping nose.

=New Unlockable Features=

  • A new tier of fluff verbs, which adds 4 new verbs: Gaze, Bow, Roll, and Slap.

NOTE: GAZE, like NOD, will let you specify any of the 'GAZE' styles. The other verbs will work with demeanor. All verbs are also targetable.

Examples:
>gaze forlorn my cowl
Heaving a heavy sigh and slumping your shoulders, you gaze forlornly at your surroundings. A latticework of night black energy spreads over the surface of the black linen cowl on your head, tendrils of the light sinking briefly into your eyes.

(These are with Demeanor = Cold.)

Rolling your eyes, you grudgingly incline your body forward in a mocking bow, one hand going to your black linen cowl to keep it in place. As you straighten up, you run a hand over the sharply pointed ears adorning the top of it, eddies of night black light following the movement in circles around each of them.
>roll my cowl
Hardening your expression into a cold glare, you make an annoyed scoffing noise in your throat and roll your eyes. A corona of night black sparks suffuses the surface of the black linen cowl on your head as a faint ghostly hiss overlays your noise of derision.
>slap my cowl
Snarling deep in your throat, you swing your hand up threateningly. The sudden motion causes the black linen cowl on your head to shift slightly, the sharply pointed ears adorning the top of it becoming slightly askew as a spray of night black motes rises into the air.

NOTE: You can silently PROD the headdress to remove the second sentence of most of these, so you can choose when you want a little extra spirit light in your actions or when you want a more plain action.

  • A new unlockable feature known as "Animalistic Apparition", which allows a representation of the current spirit in the headdress to show up in your LOOK description at the very bottom of the output.

NOTE: This works with the "imprinted" spirits you may also have with the headdress, so you can imprint the headdress to spirits in your other Animalistic Spirit items and switch which spirit you want to show up.

You can change how the spirit looks to others by using SPIN - this will either hide it from appearing in your LOOK or cycle between different "moods". The spirits can look "aggressive", "neutral", or "defensive". You will only get access to all 3 poses/looks if you have fully tamed the spirit in the headdress.

Examples (appears at the bottom of your LOOK output):
Aggressive - Flickering near Avaluka is a sleek cat, its luminous figure composed of night black energy. Ears pinned flat against its head and fur puffed out, it bares its sharp teeth angrily.
Neutral - Flickering near Avaluka is a sleek cat, its luminous figure composed of night black energy. Posture stiff and gaze aloof, it languidly grooms its paw.
Defensive - Flickering near Avaluka is a sleek cat, its luminous figure composed of night black energy. Ears perked forward and eyes alert, it stalks in a protective circle around her.

Five crooked piers float haphazardly along the outer edge of the flotilla, a series of ropes and pulleys hanging at the ready to collapse the docking system at a moment's notice for rapid travel. The uneven decks are comprised of dozens of types of wood, most resembling salvage from ships' hulls, and some ragged bits of cork serve as minimal padding at each docking slip. Hanging from a rickety railing, a battered sign reads, "Kraken Pier - Slips 21-25," with a dark green kraken painted on the corner.

GM Naos and I have one final shop to tease for you from the Kraet Encampment.

We have created the Collapsible Tripod. Here is the analyze:


You analyze your wrought iron poles and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
This is a collapsible tripod for use near a campfire, bonfire, fireplace, or other similar source of heat. When positioned correctly, it will provide heat to vessels such as tea kettles in a manner similar to that of a portable stove.

You can OPEN the wrought iron poles to assemble the tripod.

To use the tripod, you will need to OPEN the wrought iron poles to assemble it before you PLACE it on the ground. Then you can PUT a kettle or similar vessel ON the tripod to hang it from the included hook.

If the vessel hanging on the tripod seems to be cold or not receiving heat, you can try to NUDGE it to reposition it near a heat source. You will know if no suitable heat source is nearby.

This item has been customied with the following descriptions:
Fancy binding: braided hemp rope with charred edges

You can wrap your wrought iron poles with your braided hemp rope to change the binding on the poles to braided hemp rope with charred edges.

You get no sense of whether or not the poles may be further lightened.

You glance down to see a bundle of wrought iron poles in your right hand and some braided grey rawhide rope decorated with rhimar beads in your left hand.

Picking apart the rope currently bound to a bundle of wrought iron poles, you discard its frayed and singed body and then re-wrap it with some braided grey rawhide rope decorated with rhimar beads.

Unraveling a short length of braided grey rawhide rope decorated with rhimar beads from your bundle of wrought iron, you carefully fit each short segment together until you have three straight poles. As if sensing your intentions, the length in your hand becomes animated and instantly lashes the tops of the three poles together to form a sturdy tripod.

You arrange the long legs of your wrought iron tripod so that it stands over a large blazing bonfire.

>put kettle on tripod
Taking the hook that dangles from the braided grey rawhide rope decorated with rhimar beads binding the tripod together, you hang a cast iron kettle from it and let it swing over a large blazing bonfire.

Icy Disposition is a new shop debuting at this run of Duskruin. As a teaser, here is a peek at the mirror hanging in the shop:

In the Common language, it reads:
The weapons sold in this shop are Greater Rhimar Weapons, and while they may appear at a casual glance to be the more common form of the metal, these pieces carry within them a fragment of Winter itself.

[Tier 1] - Each of the weapons on display has an enchantment of +25, flares like regular rhimar weapons, and is capable of generating snowballs.
**
[Tier 2] - Once one of the dim blue certificates has been applied to one of these weapons, Snowball Flares will be unlocked for that weapon. Snowball Flares will flare much like regular rhimar weapons, however on a successful (regular) flare, there will be a chance for a second (Snowball) flare which will do additional cold damage plus a status effect.
**
[Tier 3] - Once one of the light blue certificates has been applied to one of these weapons, Blizzard will be unlocked for that weapon, and be able to be used once per day. Blizzard is akin to a Major Elemental Wave of pure cold damage.
**
[Tier 4] - Once one of the bright blue certificates has been applied to one of these weapons, Rime will be unlocked for that weapon, and be able to be used once per day. Rime coats the weapon in ice, which causes every successful hit to flare the standard cold flare as well as the Snowball Flare, with the effect lasting for 30 seconds.
**
Snowy White Certificates will allow for additional uses of Blizzard per day. Frozen Certificates will allow for additional uses of Rime per day. Snowball Certificates will reduce the cooldown timer on snowball creation.

You turn your sword over in your hand a couple of times, feeling its weight. On the last turn, you hear a somewhat sinister scraping noise.

You thrust your rhimar warsword into the air, and you feel a chill crawl from it down your hand and arm. You analyze your yew arcus and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

Welcome to Kraet Style, the Bow Edition.

Arcus: The arcus is a recurve composite bow, typically made of locally sourced wood on the Isle of Kraet with sinew and horn coming from any variety of fauna found on the isle or taken from elsewhere. In addition, there is a unique custom amongst the Kraet to occasionally utilize sinew from fallen gladiators when the individual had wished it; it is seen as a way to carry on and assist in their people's victories.

Now that you know a little bit about your yew arcus and its history, here are some useful tips for using it.
The arcus is verbose in its movements in your hand, meaning you'll want to have STANCE VERBOSE active when using it. It also has access the the following verbs:
Pull, Push, Rub, Lean

Alteration Instructions: The arcus must maintain its noun and conform to the spirit of its design as outlined above.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the yew arcus for you.

Hey Everyone!

There is a new unlock available taking Jorshan's Twin Weapons from Tier 2 to Tier 3. The unlock waiver will be available in the same shop. Pricing is still pending.

Twin Strikes Reduced Cooldown From 30 minutes to 15 minutes when unlocked to Tier 3.

Twin Lunge Reduced Cooldown from 15 minutes to 10 minutes when unlocked to Tier 3.


Twin Stance Twin Primary Increased double attack chance from 5% to 7% when unlocked to Tier 3.

Twin Offhand Increases the DS bonus from 12 to 16 when unlocked to Tier 3.

Twin Master Increases the AS bonus from 12 to 16 when unlocked to Tier 3.
