Ebon Gate Treasure Trove
Following in the footsteps of the Duskruin Treasure Trove, Ebon Gate received its own Treasure Trove raffle system in 2019.
General Information (2023)
A Treasure Trove is a token raffle. It draws once a day, around 9pm game-time, (Eastern/NY). This year at Ebon Gate, there are five Treasure Troves. 4 of them within Gavelsdown Hall, and one for Private Property Owners in the shop called The Roof Over. To enter the drawing, you buy a token from the attendant in the sitting room, look for the gjenganger. You can only put one token in each drawing. Tokens cost 100,000 silvers (probably not from a note). Drop your token in the wooden drawer to enter the raffle. The display shelf shows the item currently up for a raffle, while the circular tray holds four items that are on deck, on of which will be randomly selected for the next drawing.
A Service Pass is required for the Troves.
You do not have to be present or even logged in to GemStone to win. If your token is drawn, your prize will rest on the rack in the Trove's room for 24 hours. Only you will be able to take it from the rack.

GM Thandiwe's Trove Clarification Points
- You can buy a token from the gjenganger in Gavelsdown Hall. From the entry GO DOOR.
- A token costs 100,000 silvers.
- You can enter only 1 token per trove.
- You must have a service pass to participate.
- There are four troves in Gavelsdown Hall. GO ARCH from the entry. The trove through the arch is the items, the troves NORTH are all delayed service troves.
- The trove pulls at approximately 9 PM EDT every 24 hours for the next 24 days.
- If you are a private property owner, you can go to The Roof Over and GO DOOR to use your token.
- If you are in game at the time of the drawing, you will get a notification.
- If you are NOT in the game at the time of drawing, all you have to do is log in and you will get a monster bold message every few moments reminding you to pick up your prize. The monster bold message is: Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a singing sword certificate! Return to the raffle area to collect your item. Please note that you will not be able to enter another raffle until you have done so. In addition, items not picked up before the next raffle draws will be forfeit!
- You have 24 hours to pick up your prize or it is forfeit.
- You can get your prize from the RACK in the trove room. Only the winner can do this.
General Information (2022)
Raffles within the Treasure Trove draw once a day at 9pm eastern time. Entrants can drop an unlimited amount of tokens into the wooden drawer to enter the raffle. The display shelf shows the item currently up for a raffle, while the circular tray holds four items that are on deck, on of which is selected randomly for the next raffle.
A total of ten items from a list of thirty will show up randomly as part of the raffle, and cycle through for ten days. The remaining items that were not cycled through the daily raffles may become available at the Eve of the Reunion Event held towards the end of Ebon Gate Festival. How do I know if I won?
If you are not logged in at the time of the drawing, fear not! A MONSTER BOLD message will be displayed to you and repeat every few moments to ensure you know. Here is the message you will see:
Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a singing sword certificate! Return to the raffle area to collect your item. Please note that you will not be able to enter another raffle until you have done so. In addition, items not picked up before the next raffle draws will be forfeit!
Evermore Hollow Information
Location
Pumpkin-etched tokens be purchased from a decaying gjenganger, located in Gavelsdown Hall, Sitting Room (Lich #31574), for 100,000 silvers each with VERB: ASK GJENGANGER ABOUT BUY.
The Treasure Trove may be found in the Parlor of Gavelsdown Hall, located at in the westernmost part of Evermore Hollow's Inner Ring (Map ID: 8, Lich #31568, Room #8084013), with one room to the south (Lich #32201) and one to the north (Lich #32285).
Raffle Token

- Analyze
You analyze your pumpkin-etched token and sense that the creator has provided the following information: This token will give you entry to a Treasure Trove raffle! This token has 1 use. A raffle token will be destroyed when it is used to enter a raffle at the Treasure Trove. Your pumpkin-etched token is from Ebon Gate Festival and can only be used for Treasure Trove raffles at that event. In addition, tokens are event-specific and must be used during the event from which it was obtained. This one was obtained at the event with ID #100122 (which is typically a date). (For example, 100120 would be October 1, 2020.) [Type HELP when in the Treasure Trove area for more information.] You get no sense of whether or not the token may be further lightened.

Raffle Token

HELP
While within the Treasure Trove, typing HELP displays a menu with information on the raffles.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~* THE TREASURE TROVE *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Welcome to The Treasure Trove! ~~ HOW THIS WORKS ~~ - Find a raffle token somewhere in this realm. In many cases, these tokens will drop from games and/or event activities. In other cases, these tokens may be purchasable. Refer to information provided about the particular event for further details. - Look on the display shelf. This is the current item up for raffle. Raffles will not run between 2 AM and noon, Eastern time, so if the shelf is empty, it is because the Treasure Trove is currently inactive and will "wake up" outside of those designated times. (Please note: the "wake up" time may vary by as much as 30 minutes from day-to-day.) - Look on the circular tray. This holds the next item(s) up for raffle. The "next" selection is random. - If you are interested in being included in the raffle for the item on the tray, insert (DROP) your token in the wooden drawer for a chance to win the raffle. - You can LOOK at the cabinet and the drawer to get important information about the Treasure Trove. ~~ HOW DOES A RAFFLE TOKEN WORK? ~~ - Raffle tokens have 1 use. - DROP or PUT your raffle TOKEN IN the token DRAWER. You can enter a raffle as many times as you want. ~~ WHAT IF I WIN A RAFFLE? ~~ - If you win a raffle, you (and only you) will be messaged that you won (if you're online), noting the item that you won. This item MUST be picked up before the next raffle item draws. If you fail to pick up the item, both the item and the token used for the raffle will be forfeit. - Winning accounts will be locked from raffle participation for 36 hours (1 days). THIS IS NOT ACTIVE FOR EBON GATE ~~ HOW OFTEN WILL RAFFLES OCCUR? ~~ - When the Treasure Trove is awake (not between the hours of 2AM and noon, Eastern time,) raffles will draw every 1440 minutes [24 hour(s)]. A raffle will not start (ie: no item moved to the shelf) if its draw time would fall during the sleep hours. ~~ CAN I SELL MY RAFFLE TOKEN? ~~ - Maybe! Depending on the event, it's possible that an NPC will buy-back your tokens. Look for an attendant near the Treasure Trove and ASK him/her about TOKEN to get more information.
