Festival of the Fallen is a free festival held in Ta'Vaalor. The festival runs in the fall. One main component of the festival is an arena combatant system that allows one to fight against another. There is also a tournament to select the grand victor for the festival when held.

Festival of the Fallen is a memorial event in Ta'Vaalor where those who have fallen in Battles tied to the House of Ta'Vaalor, its city, and City-State are honored by a Colosseum-based tournament. This year, there are three tournaments whereby competitors compete to be the last man standing in one-on-one combat. There are raffles, merchants, and some services throughout the festival.

The 2024 Festival of the Fallen runs Friday, November 22nd, 2024 at 9pm - Midnight, Sunday, November 24th, 2024 and is hosted outside of Ta'Vaalor on Neartofar Road.

Shopping, merchants, and a celebration of Vaalorian culture. Tournaments are held within the Colosseum.

Colosseum

A colosseum has built in 2015 on the festival grounds with four practice arenas and one main arena. In the arenas you can fight against each other. A maximum of two people can be in a specific arena at any one time. No taking familiars, animal companions, demons, etc in with you. You have to fight on your own. If someone is already in an arena when you try to enter, you'll be told who is there. Each arena has a viewing room, so people can watch the fights and yell or heckle. If you die in the arena, medics are on-hand to move you to the infirmary and get you cleaned up; let it be noted that you will not lose deeds if you die. You will also be charged a small fee for being tended to by the medical staff. The only compensation you get for killing each other is bragging rights. Any fighting done in the arenas will be considered consensual.

Arena Guidelines - When you go through the portal into the arena, ALL outside spells are stripped, and then for native casters:

• Retribution effect (only) of Cloak of Shadows (712) is stripped
• Arcane Barrier (1720), Elemental Targeting (425), and Rapid Fire (515) are stripped

Inside the arena itself:

• Most spells over level 10 are now allowed
• Implosion (720), Elemental Targeting (425), Censure (316), Judgment (1630), Nature's Fury (635), Sleep (501), Flaming Aura (1706), Spirit Servant (240), and Symbol of Sleep are all blocked
• Hiding is allowed
• No demons, animal companions, or Singing Sword Song (1025)
• No wands or embeds
• No scrolls

Tournaments

Ta'Vaalor Citizenry Tournament - Open to Citizens of Ta'Vaalor Only

Global Citizenry Tournament - 2 Citizens from each Town/City are able to compete. Champions are usually selected via spin or raffle.

Open Tournament - 20 combatants vie for champion.

Global Citizenry Tournament	11/23/2024	8:00 PM EDT	Colosseum	Starting on the Day of the Huntress, raffle tables will be placed throughout the Siren Woods fairgrounds offering Global Citizens to compete in the Global Citizenry Tournament.  To qualify for a raffle, you must be a citizen of the appropriate town/area the raffle is allocated to and have been in good standing for 90 days. Placement will be announced by noon on Feastday, with the tournament starting at 8:00 PM that evening.

Blazestar eyes decorate the intricately carved head at the upper limb, the string groove wrought to resemble a closed serpentine mouth clasping the bow string. The opposing limb is shaped like the beast's tail, its heart-shaped tip culminating in the final string groove. The grip is protected by stylized wings in vaalorn. Subtle dye patterns throughout create a crimson-scaled appearance.

The langet is molded to appear like the body of a wyvern, its limbs encircling the haft, while its sinuous neck stretches upward to create the corresponding spike. Beneath the blade, a piece of aqilorn wraps about the wood as a decorative and functional blood scarf.
