Flare Gloves are gloves that, when worn, apply flares to a held weapon when used in combat. The flares applied by Flare Gloves drain stamina from the user. Gloves are sold without any flaring capabilities, and flare types are added via certificate. Multiple flare types can be added to a single glove, which can toggle between the different flares. Additional addon unlocks can also be applied via certificate to add mechanical and fluff features.

The gloves revolve around the right and left hands, which can be set to a flare and enabled/disabled as desired. Unlocked flares may be set to either or both hands, though the Unlinked addon is required to set both independently and concurrently. Without the Unlinked addon, setting a hand will unset the other hand.

A UCS version is available and works exactly the same with an added ability to set its inherent flare for use in unarmed combat (Flare Gloves apply flares only to held weapons). The non-UCS version is considered nonfunctional until a flare is unlocked.

They were created by GameMaster Naiken and are sold at Right to Flare Arms in Duskruin.

These Flare Gloves are crafted with a network of metal traces that connects the palms to rune expressions on the backs,which can store and bestow flaring
abilities to held weapons that inherently lack them.  Flares provided by the gloves cost stamina based on their rarity but will only occur with a sufficient amount.

They may be altered normally and customized by any willing merchant, provided the noun remains plural and something that covers the back and palm.
The trace metal must follow ALTER rules and be plain/inert, and the runes and metal traces should maintain color contrast.

The rune color is inky black, and the trace metal is eahnor.

Unlinked Addon

This allows both hands to be set simultaneously and independently. It also allows both hands to flare when using the Pound ability (if unlocked).

Pound Addon

The POUND SMR/ability flares against up to five random creatures with a 10-minute cooldown. If Unlinked is unlocked, both hands can flare.

Ambients Addon

This provides ambient messaging via Lesser Moods on FlareGloves. It will apply to one held weapon at a time (randomized if holding two).

Greater Flares Addon

This provides Greater Flares (via Greater Elemental Flares) on FlareGloves. It is active only for Fire, Cold, Lightning, Impact, Vacuum, and Steam flares and costs an additional 5 stamina.

Pockets Addon

Pockets can be added via certificate. They hold a very small amount with space for two items.

 Your traces are used to unlock the potential of things held in your other hand or on your person.

 Some azure and copper traces grant the ability to add the Flare Gloves script to an eligible hand-worn item.

 DETAILS:
   > Eligible items are hand-worn (20) with a supported noun, unscripted, and do not resist magic.
   > Combat Flourishes are OK, but the item must be unflaring or contain an inherent flare supported by Flare Gloves.
   > Supported nouns are: gauntlets, gloves, hand-wraps, handwraps, half-gloves, trukt.
   > This service does not provide any addons or flare unlocks.  Inherent flares will be unlocked.

 You need only RAISE your traces while holding a compatible item in your other hand or on your person.

 Your traces may not be altered or changed in any way.
