Honored Patrons,

I have made contact with the institution calling itself the 'Sentinel Fleet' and, as per your directive, set up preliminary trade contracts for the shipment of one hundred tons of our better quality textiles to the newly formed port of Mistwatch near Ta'Vaalor. Your cousin, Lady Akenna, was as courteous and polite as you indicated she would be and negotiatons were quick and fruitful.

As per your secondary directive to learn more of the Fleet itself and its interests beyond trade, I believe we have come upon a complication in our potential future trade arrangements. The Fleet's 'Commodore', who is also its primary owner alongside your cousin, is an avowed Master of the Order of Voln.

Unfortunately, his dedication to the well known duties of this Order extend beyond the personal. The entirety of the Sentinel Fleet is not dedicated to trade or even safe conduct of the sea lanes. Instead, he has pledged it to the cause his Order. I am aware that at no point did you ever indicate an interest in my opinion, however it is within the scope of my responsibilities to recommend a cessation of all trade with this Fleet. Such personal mores are not in the interests of our profits and could jeopardize our reputation.

I am confident that I can conclude a few more small trade deals with your cousin over the coming weeks to ensure no loss of face. At which point, it would be perfectly reasonable to politely decline further offers of trade and rid ourselves of a potentially troublesome connection to our interests.
