5122-23 Kayse Thaellian Town Council Proposals

Over the course of my first term as town councilor, I have prepared a number of proposals based on the asks of citizens, allies and defenders of Wehnimer’s Landing. Some of these are my own which are related to my platform I ran on to become elected for the year of 5123. These are merely proposals and petitions and none are guaranteed to be approved by the Mayor or the town of Wehnimer's Landing.

TOWN DEFENSE

A big part of my platform was town defense and the defense plans Sir Guarrin had drafted up. These were submitted to Mayor Thadston a few months ago, but I would like to address the specific details:

• A Secondary wall
• The transition from palisade to stone around the town
• A proper barbican installed
• Refurbish and fix the bay chain functionality to help with any attacks from Darkstone Bay.

I am also submitting a request to add a guard(s) to the Northern Gate of town as well as the docks. With an increase in traffic in the port, I believe it is essential to guard our town and assets.

TOWN RECOVERY

As I mentioned in my platform, many times when our town is invaded, we are left with a mess to clean up. Blood soaks the streets, buildings are burned, families are torn apart. I would like to implement a team dedicated to ensuring we start getting back on track quickly. Cleaning crews to mop the signs of war, carpenters and painters to repatch our scars, and a facility to feed, clothe and support our citizens during any losses. Burned remains near the building of the park from the pie shop still lay in ashes. An appointed cleaning crew to tidy the town is essential to keeping the city fresh.

CULTURE

With Wehnimer’s being the home to a diverse group of races and religions, I would like to propose the addition of an Omni shrine within the town or the outskirts, so those of all faith can find a place close to home to worship.

I very much want to add to the shelves…and additional book shelves to the museum library. New tomes, volumes, journals spilling stories of our pasts, displaying studies of our colleagues, or even whimsical stories. I am asking the consortium if they will donate funds for ten new books to be added of varying topics.

TRADE

There was an Imperial shipwright looking to set up shop in Wehnimer’s Landing. He did not seem to be interested further, so I would like to propose a search/hiring process to bring that new business revenue into the town.

I would also like to add the following additions to Wehnimer’s Landing or the bazaar:

• Charcuterie/Cheese/Wine Shop with a outdoor picnic area name Gouda as Ever
• A crafting shop with weavables, yarn, fabrics and other items named Knit Happens!
• A butcher shop with quality local meats as well as imported varieties named The Wurst Shop
• A fishmonger store selling locally sourced seafood.
• An ice cream shop with various sweet treats.
• A farmer’s market within the bazaar that sells fruits, vegetables, spices.

BEAUTIFICATION EFFORTS

I would like to continue our focus on the people of Shanty Town. With the addition to the new garden only a year or so ago, I would like to propose a habitat construction to improve living conditions. I would also like to implement an annual fundraiser or drive to raise funds for this ongoing project.

I would like to thank Kelfyr, Sir Guarrin, and Perigourd for submitting problems and concerns to create proposals around. I would also like to address something Faerinn requested regarding an increase in education and trade schools. My fellow councilors already took this on and submitted a detailed proposal regarding it--which I do support fully.
