Greeting Lady Reannah

Some Hendoran knights arrive, standing at the fall end of the hall. Among them stands a middle-aged woman with tired blue eyes and ashen skin. Her black hair is thinning, with white streaks shot through it, and shadows form pools in the sunken pits of her cheeks. She looks very tired.

Reannah smiles.

Reannah quietly says, "Hello everyone."

Reannah begins to move towards a cushioned chair, pausing half way, as if catching her breath, then finishing her trek.

Reannah just went over and threw herself down on the chair.

Speaking to Reannah, Maags says, "Hellos My Lady. Hopes the rain didnts chill yous too too much."

Speaking to Reannah, Emindala says, "It is so good to see you M'lady. . .it's been too long."

Reannah quietly says, "No, it was refreshing."

Reannah quietly says, "I am just very tired."

Speaking softly to Reannah, Wintersylph says, "Long walk from Chastonia."

Reannah nods at Emindala.

Reannah quietly asks, "Some..coffee?"

Reannah peers quizzically at Emindala.

Reannah glances at a slate-topped bar.

Reannah peers quizzically at Wintersylph.

Reannah glances at a slate-topped bar.

Kayse pours herself a mug of Tehir-grown coffee.

Maags says, "There is Tehir coffee here."

Kayse offers Emindala a mug of Tehir-grown coffee.

Emindala accepts Kayse's Tehir-grown coffee.

Reannah quietly asks, "Tehir coffee?"

Reannah quietly says, "No please."

Reannah quietly says, "Some other kind."

Emindala offers Reannah a mug of Tehir-grown coffee.

Reannah declines Emindala's offer.

Cryheart offers Reannah a mug of steaming butterscotch coffee.

Reannah quietly says, "Please...no Tehir coffee."

Reannah accepts Cryheart's butterscotch coffee.

Reannah nods at Cryheart.

Reannah takes a drink from her butterscotch coffee.

Speaking softly to Reannah, Wintersylph says, "Since you grew up with the Edict, I would think Human coffee, might work for you."

Reannah quietly says, "Never presume anyone's upbringing or attitude based on their culture."

Reannah nods at Wintersylph.

Reannah quietly says, "I am aware of...my mother's situation at this time, yes."

Reannah quietly says, "I am sure it will be settled soon enough and she will be free."

Reannah quietly says, "Even if my mother is guilty..."

Reannah quietly says, "Carenos deserved worse."

Reannah yawns.

Reannah slouches slightly, her eyes almost closing once.

Naimorai's Nightmares

Cryheart says, "Perhaps the guards should take ye to the Outpost to rest, Lady Reannah."

Reannah quietly says, "I will return soon."

Reannah quietly says, "My daughter has kept me awake recently."

Reannah quietly says, "Most of us, in truth."

Speaking to Reannah, Shinann asks, "How so?"

Speaking to Reannah, Emindala asks, "Why would she do that?"

Reannah quietly says, "Nightmares."

Speaking curiously to Reannah, Kayse asks, "Did she say what they're about?"

Speaking to Reannah, Irar asks, "Of what, my Lady?"

Reannah quietly says, "No."

Reannah quietly says, "She has not had such horrible waking nightmares since shortly before we left Chastonia and came here."

Kayse thoughtfully notes, "They must be pretty bad to keep everyone up..."

Reannah quietly says, "Not literally everyone."

Reannah nods at Kayse.

Speaking softly to Reannah, Enestrie asks, "Has she told you any details regarding the nightmares?"

Reannah quietly says, "We came here, and her nightmares seemed to subside."

Speaking to Reannah, Fulmen asks, "What is she dreaming of?"

Reannah quietly says, "For some time, I used to be able to linger at her bedside."

Reannah quietly says, "Even in her age now, I could hold her still."

Reannah quietly says, "The other night...I nearly fell trying."

Reannah quietly says, "She had to hold me."

Reannah frowns.

Reannah quietly asks, "What mother am I now?"

Speaking to Reannah, Shinann asks, "Has she had them all her life?"

Reannah quietly says, "That I cannot hold my children when they need me."

Reannah quietly says, "I barely recognize the other one."

Reannah looks over at Shinann and shakes her head.

Reannah looks over at Enestrie and shakes her head.

Reannah shrugs at Fulmen.

Reannah quietly says, "She has not spoken of what she sees."

Reannah quietly says, "I do not know if she ever will."

Speaking to Reannah, Irar asks, "Do you have any ideas as to why being around this town might calm her nightmares?"

Reannah quietly says, "Something troubles her, and I doubt she wishes to burden me."

Reannah quietly says, "But it is no burden."

Speaking to Reannah, Irar asks, "Or opinions?"

Reannah quietly says, "This sickness is a burden."

Reannah shrugs at Irar.

Reannah quietly says, "It seemed to calm her for awhile."

Reannah quietly says, "But no longer."

Reannah shrugs at Irar.

Speaking to herself, Guennwhfar says, "Coddling children ... what a novel concept."

Reannah quietly asks, "Do you have children?"

Speaking to Reannah, Irar says, "I'll offer prayers for her, if you'd like."

Reannah peers quizzically at Guennwhfar.

Reannah nods at Irar.

Reannah quietly asks, "Perhaps you could meet with her soon?"

Reannah peers quizzically at Irar.

Speaking to Reannah, Irar says, "Any time."

Speaking to Reannah, Guennwhfar says, "Thankfully not; but Dhe'nar raise their chidren strictly."

Reannah quietly says, "Then Dhe'nar raise their children wrong."

Reannah nods at Guennwhfar.

Speaking to Reannah, Shinann asks, "Did she have them before your father passed away?"

Reannah looks over at Shinann and shakes her head.

Speaking to Reannah, Fulmen says, "Or a pet."

Cryheart asks, "Was there any incident that occurred just afore she began having the nightmares?"

Speaking to Reannah, Emindala says, "Actually a pet isn't a bad idea. She could share her nightmares with no fear of judgment and feel protected at the same time."

Reannah quietly says, "When Cyph, Drandea and I returned from Immuron."

Reannah quietly says, "A few months after I got sick, she began."

Subarashi hesitantly asks, "Ah, an odd question, if you don't mind, but...do you remember when your husband's eye turned blue?"

Reannah nods.

Reannah quietly says, "No, longer than that."

Reannah quietly says, "It was perhaps weeks before we actually left Chastonia."

Reannah quietly says, "I am sorry, my mind is....dull at times."

Reannah quietly says, "I..I don't remember."

Reannah takes a drink from her butterscotch coffee.

Speaking to Reannah, Emindala says, "Think about the pet idea. . .I'm certain it would make her Feel better whether it cured her nightmares or not."

Reannah quietly says, "It occured after I left for Immuron."

Reannah nods at Emindala.

Reannah quietly says, "Yes, thank you."

Reannah takes a drink from her butterscotch coffee.

Reannah quietly says, "I remember asking him once..."

Reannah rubs her chin thoughtfully.

Reannah quietly says, "What did he tell me...it was very little..."

Reannah quietly says, "That is my husband, after all."

Reannah quietly says, "His details are often as rare as good Dhe'nar parenting."

Reannah chuckles.

Reannah's Laments

Reannah quietly says, "My mother is imprisoned...my son is a stranger...my daughter is torment..."

Reannah quietly says, "...and I am dying."

Reannah quietly asks, "Did I cross an Arkati, I wonder?"

Reannah quietly says, "Did you know..."

Reannah stares off into the fire, addressing those gathered, but speaking as if really to herself...

Reannah quietly says, "I almost left him."

Reannah quietly says, "I almost did not return from Immuron."

Reannah quietly says, "I had my mother...my son...I almost did not return."

Reannah quietly says, "I had even thought if I did return...I'd do so only for my precious Naimorai."

Reannah quietly says, "But he cherishes her. He'd never let me take her."

Reannah quietly says, "It was within a week of my return that this death settled in on me."

Madmountan says, "Why does everything have to get all fishy all the sudden."

Madmountan grunts.

Leafiara peers quizzically at Madmountan.

Madmountan grins.

Madmountan says, "Okay, it's not sudden."

Madmountan cackles!

Reannah quietly says, "That is when it happened."

Reannah nods at Subarashi.

Reannah quietly says, "His eyes."

Reannah quietly says, "When I returned from Immuron, it was different."

Reannah nods.

Speaking to Leafiara, Madmountan says, "It's just mighty convenient that she get sick from an external source right around the time she was thinking of leaving him and taking the kid with her."

Reannah quietly says, "Whatever he was up to while I was gone, perhaps caused it? I could not say."

Reannah quietly says, "I've studied magic, for the purpose of using it to better people's lives."

Reannah quietly says, "I can't say he's studied it for the same reasons."

Madmountan says, "Just talking out loud here. No real judgment."

Reannah looks over at Madmountan and shakes her head.

Reannah quietly says, "My husband would never harm me."

Reannah quietly says, "Even if he knew I was going to leave him."

Speaking to Reannah, Madmountan says, "Not directly, perhaps."

Speaking to Reannah, Dergoatean says, "He told us he'd set the world on fire if it would start a flame in your heart."

Reannah quietly says, "He would bury every man alive in this world if it meant saving me."

Reannah quietly says, "Sadly."

Speaking to Reannah, Madmountan says, "I believe that."

Speaking to Reannah, Madmountan says, "But what if someone else noticed the problem, and thought they were doing him a favor. Maybe he didn't ask for it to be done."

Speaking melodically to Reannah, Krilzin asks, "Pardon for bringing up a sore subject, but why would you leave someone that cares about you the way he does?"

Reannah quietly says, "Our marriage has been difficult, at best."

Reannah nods at Krilzin.

Reannah quietly says, "It was a fleeting thought."

Reannah quietly says, "We have had amazing memories."

Reannah quietly says, "I was foolish to forget them."

Speaking to Reannah, Irar says, "I can't imagine."

Reannah quietly says, "But we are human."

Reannah quietly says, "Well, we are."

Reannah quietly says, "Some of you are elven."

Reannah chuckles.

Reannah begins chuckling at Irar!

Reannah trembles.

Updates on Cyph

Reannah quietly says, "Cyph...."

Reannah clears her throat.

Reannah quietly says, "My son...."

Reannah quietly says, "He walked this week."

Reannah quietly says, "Multiple times."

Speaking tentatively to Reannah, Hapenlok asks, "That's good.....isn't it?"

Reannah quietly says, "He has been shadowing a knight."

Reannah quietly says, "Sir Gregory, I believe."

Reannah nods at Hapenlok.

Reannah quietly says, "It is good."

Reannah quietly says, "I am not accustomed to...his new face..his new voice."

Reannah quietly says, "He has no magic and no illness."

Reannah quietly says, "I suppose I should be happy with such."

Speaking to Reannah, Emindala says, "That will take time to get used to I'm sure. . but inside he IS your son."

Reannah quietly says, "Even if he wishes to train with a sword now."

Reannah frowns.

Reannah nods at Emindala.

Reannah shivers.

Reannah's Wishes

Krilzin offers Reannah a Wehnimer's promissory note.

Reannah accepts Krilzin's promissory note.

Reannah peers quizzically at Krilzin.

Speaking melodically to Reannah, Krilzin says, "Get yourself some warm cloths and a bed."

Reannah quietly says, "I have both."

Reannah quietly says, "I will pass along your donation to the orphanage."

Speaking melodically to Reannah, Krilzin says, "Then get a bigger bed."

Krilzin melodically says, "Then that should help with buying herbal remedies."

Krilzin melodically says, "Either way it goes to a good cause."

Reannah smiles at Krilzin.

Reannah trembles.

Reannah quietly says, "I wish only to protect my children."

Reannah quietly says, "To live long enough to see them married off, prosperous, enjoying life."

Leafiara gently says, "You will live to see that... and longer still."

Reannah quietly says, "If I do not..."

Reannah nods to Leafiara.

Reannah quietly asks, "Will you promise to protect my children?"

Reannah peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Speaking gently to Reannah, Leafiara say, "Of course. Protection... is what I do."

Reannah nods.

Reannah quietly says, "Protect them from every threat and danger, no matter what mask or veil they wear."

Reannah peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Leafiara scratches her head.

Leafiara curiously says, "That... is an oddly specific request..."

Leafiara amicably says, "But if they aren't harming anyone, then my duty is saving lives."

A Mysterious Presence? Or Just Crux and Queti?

Hapenlok narrows his eyes.

Raelee shakes her head.

A soft-pawed ocelot hisses loudly!

A timber snowcat hisses loudly!

A jet black panther snarls menacingly!

A mire lion snarls menacingly!

Subarashi quietly says, "It's a curse to leave your children in need, Reannah, but it's a worse curse to outlive them. I hope you recover so neither happens. I'll say a prayer for you."

Krilzin melodically says, "Our companions are responding to something."

Reannah nods at Subarashi.

Emindala surveys the area.

Emindala nods at Krilzin.

Emindala says, "I've been feeling. . .something or someone is about. . ."

Madmountan searches around for a moment.

Enestrie searches around for a moment.

Guennwhfar searches around for a moment.

Before your eyes, two locks of black hair on Reannah's head bleed to white, like ink emptying out from a bottle, leaving behind an ashen streak in their wake.

Guennwhfar says, "There is an invisible person here."

Dergoatean gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...

Dergoatean gestures.

Cruxophim is discovered by Dergoatean!

Speaking nonchalantly to Dergoatean, Cruxophim remarks, "Weren't me."

Guennwhfar says, "No, not Crux."

Guennwhfar says, "Someone else."

Guennwhfar asks, "Queti?"

Speaking to Reannah, Maags says, "Did something frighten yous jus now?"

Reannah quietly says, "No, I am just tired..."

Reannah quietly says, "I....should lie don."

Speaking to Reannah, Emindala says, "Stay behind me M'lady."

Reannah quietly says, "Dow...down..."

Shadowy tendrils rise from the ground and wrap around Cruxophim's legs as they quickly engulf his entire body. The shadows quickly retreat back into the surroundings, leaving no trace of Cruxophim.

Maags gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...

Maags gestures.

Cruxophim is discovered by Maags!

Queti is discovered by Maags!

Leafiara offers, "And if you would like any additional escorts besides the knights, please do tell."

Reannah quietly says, "I...I will be fine, thank you."

Reannah places her hand on Emindala's arm and slowly rises to her feet.

Some Hendoran knights step up and help escort Reannah out of the stone baths. She looks back as she departs, sad, and tired.
