Bard

Gear:

  • A shimmering ivory sonic warlance orbited by ethereal sunset orange musical notes: lance, air, +35, sonic flares
  • A perfect white vaalorn coustille with a silk-wrapped hilt: short sword, vaalorn, perfect forged, 2 CER crit weighting, +26, lightning flares, lesser moods
  • A perfect orange faenor wakizashi with a silk-wrapped hilt: short sword, faenor, perfect forged, 2 CER crit weighting, +26, lightning flares, lesser moods
  • A perfect zorchar kunai with an ivory silk-wrapped haft: katar, zorchar, perfect forged, 3 CER crit weighting, +5, tier 3 Sanctify, lightning flares, lesser moods
  • A perfect drakar kunai with a sunset orange silk-wrapped haft: katar, drakar, perfect forged, 2 CER crit weighting, +5, tier 3 Sanctify, fire flares, lesser moods
  • A translucent ivory sonic chain tunic orbited by swirling golden petals: chain mail, air, +35, sonic flares
  • A sleeveless white tunic splashed with an autumn-hued music motif: robes, cloth, 3 CER crit padding, +25, lesser moods, 20% acid resistance
  • An elegant white kimono with a star-patterned gold sash: robes, cloth, 2 CER crit padding, +20, tier 4 Sanctify, tier 1 Voln Armor

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 12,500 for lesser moods (fluff).
  • Seashells: 10,000 for Voln Armor.

Further explanations:

  • The lightning flares on her coustille and wakizashi came from the Festival of the Fallen auto-flarer, which costs silver. It was around 750,000 each, if I remember correctly.
  • The old Ebon Gate currency of seashells was basically free to diggers, which is one reason digging went away.
  • Her tunic was a playershop purchase that already came with its enchantment and acid resistance.

Future plans: A lot depends on the bard review and future hunting grounds. I'm currently assuming that she'll eventually finish Sanctifying her kunai and kimono to have those become her primary gear, but it's also completely possible that she'll ultimately just use a sonic weapon and sonic armor. It's even possible that she'll instead use short swords and the kunai will go to my ranger, but that would depend on ongoing distribution of lightly armored creatures in Ascension hunting grounds. Ensorcell will eventually go somewhere, but too much is in the air right now to know where.

Cleric 1

Nope. I dare not think about the amount spent on Leafi! (I will. I'll just update the page later.)

Cleric 2

Gear:

  • A brilliant white villswood asaya etched with spiraling grooves: runestaff, villswood, +18, tier 5 mana flares, Fatal Afflares, lesser moods
  • A ribbon-sashed cherry red elesine blouse with vanilla-hued ruffled sleeves: robes, cloth, temporary 13 CER damage padding, +15, +7 TD, lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 30,000 for mana flare upgrades, 2,500 for Fatal Afflares (fluff), and 5,000 for lesser moods (fluff).

Further explanations:

  • Her asaya was found as an arena prize with tier 3 mana flares, so only the upgrades cost bloodscrip. This asaya gets shared with my bard at times, but mostly my lower level cleric uses it.
  • Her blouse was found as an arena prize as is, minus the alter.

Future plans:

None. I basically only have this character to make and/or save silver on Sanctify.

Empath

Gear:

  • A dark vultite tetsubo: maul, vultite, 10 CER crit weighting, +30
  • An elegant aura surita scepter accented with vivid pink striations: runestaff, lesser surita, +15
  • A fitted golvern chain corslet with sapphire-tipped tassets: chain mail, golvern, +30, plasma flares, T2 Anfelt (fluff script)
  • A sleeveless sunlight gold tunic accented with bright white edges: robes, cloth, temporary 13.67 CER crit padding, +15, +7 TD

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 15,000 for the entire tetsubo and 15,000 for her entire armor.
  • Raikhen: 40,000 (current equivalent) for her entire scepter.

Further explanations:

  • Back in 2017, 15,000 bloodscrip for +30 flaring armor at the A Flash of Strength shop was a good deal because flaring armor couldn't be further enchanted by players. Reproducing this same armor or better would cost significantly less today, however--simply buy +20 flaring armor from a playershop for less than a million silver, then enchant it up to +30 for (most likely) less than seven and a half million. (Realistically, if I were creating it now, I wouldn't even go past +20 in the first place on an empath!)
  • Her tunic was an arena prize I altered, but otherwise came as it was. She only uses it in Duskruin Arena.

Future plans:

She previously had a lesser surita scepter that also had +30/+18 acuity flares, but I sold it off and intended it to replace with a new one that had mana flares. I still might, but I also might simply sell even the current one. It depends what the eventual empath review brings.

What's definitely getting replaced at some point is her tetsubo. It's been a filler weapon for close to seven years now and I've been biding time waiting for the right script or right price to appear so I can move her to a katana or a perfect forged weapon of her own creation.

I have no intention of further Enchant on anything of hers, nor any Ensorcell or Sanctify.

Monk

Gear:

  • Some fingerless feather-white gloves painted with screeching falcons: gloves, leather, +20, lightning flares, Fatal Afflares, tier 4 Animalistic Spirit lightning with Wild Backlash, lesser moods
  • Some calf-high feather-white boots emblazoned with roaring pumas: shoes, leather, +20, lightning flares, Fatal Afflares, tier 1 Animalistic Spirit lightning, lesser moods
  • A sleeveless gold feather-patterned tunic tied at the waist: robes, cloth, 6 CER crit padding, +25, tier 3 Sanctify, lesser moods, 16% slash resistance

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 30,000 for lightning flares, 5,000 for Fatal Afflares (fluff), 20,000 for base Animalistic Spirit items, 45,000 for Animalistic Spirit upgrades on her gloves, 20,000 for Wild Backlash upgrade, 40,000 for Animalistic Spirit flare changes, 10,000 for Animalistic Spirit fluff verbs, 2,000 for Animalistic Spirit spirit changes (fluff), and 7,500 for lesser moods (fluff).

Further explanations:

  • Her tunic was found as an arena prize, but its crit padding was only 5.45 CER and its enchant was only +20.
  • In hindsight, I wouldn't have bothered with the Animalistic Spirit flare upgrades or Wild Backlash addition for her gloves. Basic Animalistic lightning is fine enough and the DS and TD reduction are largely immaterial for UAC.

Future plans:

Other than Sanctify on her tunic, I consider her gear finished. If Bloodriven Village ever offered resistances in 1% increments (or even removal in 1% increments), I'd probably take her slash up to 20% (or down to 15%) just for peace of mind, though!

Paladin 1

Gear:

  • A perfect eonake war-hammer with a mithril haft wrapped in cerulean silk: war hammer, eonake, perfect forged, +35, innately holy, paladin bonded flares, custom Fatal Afflares, knockout flares, lesser moods, 10 AS undead bane
  • A perfect zorchar war-hammer with a mithril haft wrapped in amber silk: war hammer, zorchar, perfect forged, 5 CER crit weighting, +34, holy, custom Fatal Afflares, greater elemental lightning flares, lesser moods
  • A snow white cuirass emblazoned with a golden four-point star: metal breastplate, vaalorn, 1 CER crit padding, +23, plasma flares, T2 Anfelt (fluff script), lesser moods
  • Some gleaming gold-edged white platemail: half plate, steel, 2 CER crit padding, +20, tier 3 Sanctify, tier 5 Mana-Infused Armor, lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 15,000 for transmutation on the eonake war-hammer (fluff; it was already white ora), 25,000 for custom Fatal Afflares (fluff), 100,000 for knockout flares, 10,000 for lesser moods (fluff), 15,000 for holy armament on the zorchar war-hammer, 40,000 for greater elemental flares, and 2,300 for the base vaalorn armor (everything on it except the padding and lesser moods).

Further explanations:

  • Looking back, I have no idea why I spent bloodscrip on knockout flares instead of trying to get hold of more knockout flares at Caligos Isle Ebon Gate, where the seashells flowed freely. If I had to guess, it's because my paladin is my second favorite character and I didn't mind treating her.
  • The undead bane was won from a raffle at Festival of the Fallen. I wouldn't--and don't!--spend the bloodscrip costs asked by the High End Scrip Shop, which is why her war hammer is the only item with bane on this entire page.
  • The custom Fatal Afflares on her zorchar war hammer came from an Ebon Gate Treasure Trove raffle win with only a minor silver entry fee.
  • The Mana-Infused half plate cost 68,250,000 silver at an auction. I wouldn't--and don't!--spend the bloodscrip costs asked for by mechanical scripted armor at Bloodriven Village for any of my characters except Leafi, which is why this is the only standout on the page. (Leafi's will be too once I get around to posting it.)

Future plans:

Her zorchar war hammer will eventually get the +35 cast on a week where I'm having trouble selling enchanting. Her half plate will be fully Sanctified, get Enchanted up to +34, padded to 5 CER, and transmuted to zelnorn in roughly that order. I'm not currently interested in Sanctify for her weapons, though prices falling low enough could eventually change my mind. Tier 1 Ensorcell on her weapons is a possibility, but it would need an expansion of Fatal Afflares to work on Ensorcell to suit her.

Paladin 2

Gear:

  • A perfect mithril-hilted white ora xiphos: broadsword, white ora, perfect forged, 7 CER crit weighting, +25, innately holy and tier 5 Sanctify, paladin bonded flares, Fatal Afflares, lesser moods
  • A sun-shaped white golvern aegis topped with a half-circle of spikes: large shield, golvern, +25, holy and tier 3 Sanctify, spikes, lesser moods
  • An airy silver silk sundress with an asymmetrical white-edged skirt: robes, cloth, +20, tier 2 Sanctify, tier 2 Voln Armor

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 2,500 for Fatal Afflares (fluff) and 5,000 for lesser moods (fluff).
  • Seashells: 10,000 for tier 1 Voln armor.

Further explanations:

  • Her aegis, minus the Sanctify, was bought from another player for 500,000 silver.
  • The old Ebon Gate currency of seashells was basically free to diggers, which is one reason digging went away.
  • The tier 2 Voln Armor unlock came from a time when those were given away by spins for a pretty nominal silver charge (at least for near-vanilla armor like this). I wouldn't--and don't!--pay the off-the-shelf upgrade costs as they are now, which is why my bard's Voln Armor up top remains at tier 1.

Future plans:

Her xiphos will eventually have holy fire while her aegis and sundress will just finish the basic tiers of Sanctify. (She doesn't need all that sheer fear protection, being a paladin in Voln, but I want this sundress to be easy to pass around as needed.) If the pricing of adding scripts to weapons ever comes way down, I'd consider more work on her xiphos, but otherwise I'm content enough with paladin bonded flares to not want to spend 15,000 soul shards and 40,000 bloodscrip to upgrade from double plasma to triple lightning via greater elemental. I keep waiting for banshee flares to appear at Bloodriven for her shield, but it's yet to happen.

Ranger

Gear:

  • An azure long bow with a silk-wrapped grip: long bow, wood, +25, lightning flares, T2 Energy Weapon lightning, lesser moods
  • A scorched orase runestaff: runestaff, orase, +25, tier 5 mana flares, Fatal Afflares
  • Some black golvern mail marked with a silver eight-point star: chain mail, golvern, 7 CER crit padding, +30, plasma flares, T2 Anfelt (fluff script), lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 15,000 for lightning flares on the bow, 50,000 for the Energy Weapon script and upgrades, 5,000 for lesser moods (fluff), 30,000 for mana flare upgrades, 2,500 for Fatal Afflares (fluff), and 15,000 for the base armor (everything on it except the padding and lesser moods).

Further explanations:

  • His runestaff was bought from another player for 750,000 silver (albeit in 2016 silver) and already came with the enchant and tier 3 mana flares, so only the upgrades to tier 5 cost bloodscrip. This particular runestaff also gets shared around multiple characters, but I'm crediting it to my ranger because he gets it in the Hinterwilds.
(Realistically, if I were creating it now, I wouldn't even go past +25 in the first place on a ranger!)

Future plans:

I consider his gear finished--or possibly over finished since I'm not sure I would have bought the tier 2 Energy Weapon upgrade in hindsight. Most of my characters who aren't clerics, empaths, or paladins Sanctify their armor to at least some extent, but rangers have enough DS and TD that I'm content to use Bravery in spell sever areas.

Rogue

Gear:

  • A perfect vaalorn katar: katar, vaalorn, perfect forged, 2 CER crit weighting, +25, lightning flares
  • A perfect imflass katar: katar, imflass, perfect forged, 2 CER crit weighting, +25, lightning flares
  • Some lily-white fingerless gloves with jet black rolaren banding: gloves, leather, +25, realm flares, lesser moods
  • Some lily white boots with jet black rolaren soles: shoes, leather, +25, realm flares, lesser moods
  • A sleeveless lily white tunic with a jet black silk sash: robes, cloth, 6 CER crit padding, +20, tier 3 Ensorcell, lesser moods, 18% slash resistance

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 4,000 for realm flares and 7,500 for lesser moods (fluff).

Further explanations:

  • The lightning flares on her katars came from the Festival of the Fallen auto-flarer, which costs silver. It was around 750,000 silver each, if I remember correctly.
  • Lesser moods break the rotation aspect of realm flares. If I'd known that... then I probably still would have bought them, but I would have tried to get them applied in an area where they'd match each other, at least.
  • I bought her tunic from a playershop for less than a million silver, if I remember correctly, where it already had its enchant, and its slash resistance. I think it had some amount of crit padding too, though not what it has currently.

Future plans:

Her katars will eventually go to 5 CER and tier 1 Ensorcell while her tunic will eventually go to tier 5 Ensorcell.

Sorcerer

Gear:

  • An exquisite ocean surita staff-of-Lumnis with deep indigo striations: runestaff, lesser surita, +15, tier 1 Ensorcell, +30/+18 acuity, Fatal Afflares, Gift from Atan Irith (fluff script), lesser moods
  • A bright golden cuirass emblazoned with vivid red flames: leather breastplate, leather, 6 CER damage padding, +25, 16% slash resistance, lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 30,000 for acuity, 2,500 for Fatal Afflares (fluff), and 5,000 for lesser moods (fluff).
  • Raikhen: 40,000 (current equivalent) for her base staff (just the surita and fluff script).

Further explanations:

  • In hindsight, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the acuity. I'm not as in love with it as most people.
  • Her cuirass came from a playershop with everything except its alter and the last +5 of its enchant.

Future plans:

Her staff will eventually go to tier 5 Ensorcell, but it'll be over a very long haul waiting for people selling at bargain prices. Same goes for tier 5 Sanctify on her staff. Her cuirass will get flares at some point and go to tier 3 Sanctify (which would be sufficient for sheer fear after also accounting for the protection on her staff).

Warrior

Gear:

  • A perfect zorchar lance: lance, zorchar, perfect forged, +34, tier 3 Ensorcell, Fatal Afflares, greater elemental lightning flares, lesser moods
  • A finely etched pale glowbark kut'zikokra: light crossbow, glowbark, +22, tier 1 Mechanical Crossbow (but I have the certificates to upgrade to tier 4 at any time), lesser moods
  • Some pristine white cordovan handwraps with argent mesh palms: gloves, leather, +30, grapple flares, lesser moods
  • Some pristine white cordovan boots laced with silver silk cords: shoes, leather, +35, lesser moods
  • A royal purple silk tunic embroidered with a golden rose: robes, cloth, 1 CER crit padding, +30, holy and tier 2 Sanctify, +8 TD, lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 2,500 for Fatal Afflares (fluff), 40,000 for greater elemental flares, 12,500 for lesser moods (fluff), and 58,500 for the Mechanical Crossbow script and (unused) upgrades.

Further explanations:

  • Her handwraps and boots came as they were, aside from the Lesser Moods and alters I made to recolor them. She very rarely uses them in combat, reserving them for especially high DS creatures where her lance won't cut it. Unarmed combat being what it is, though, these could be +20 items and serve basically the same function.
  • Her tunic was an arena prize. The enchant was lower and the crit padding wasn't there, but the TD was good enough to make me work it up despite needing urven'eth potions.

Future plans:

Her kut'zikokra is a very long-term project that will eventually have holy fire before I use all the upgrade certificates that would increase its gear difficulty.

Her lance will eventually get the +35 cast on a week where I'm having trouble selling enchanting, which is also how all the Ensorcells happened. I might or might not ever finish the Ensorcells now since they were mostly there for Duskruin Arena, where A) the book market isn't what it used to be and B) teams of now up to five characters care a lot less about how long she can maintain Berserk than teams of three characters did. Still, the gear difficulty on her lance is high enough that I don't intend to strip off the Ensorcell and go for Sanctify. If I ever felt that were necessary, I'd just Sanctify her handwraps and boots at far lower costs and use unarmed combat against the undead.

Her tunic will eventually be fully Sanctified and maybe even fully Ensorcelled.

Wizard 1

Gear:

  • A perfect silver-hued mithril sledgehammer accented with white edges: maul, mithril, perfect forged, 1 CER crit weighting, +35, tier 4 Sanctify, knockout flares, lesser moods
  • A gold-capped lor runestaff: runestaff, lor, +30, greater elemental lightning flares, lesser moods
  • A sky blue cuirass sporting zorchar rivets: leather breastplate, leather, +25, tier 3 Sanctify, lightning flares, T2 Anfelt (fluff script), lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 7,500 for lesser moods (fluff), 40,000 for greater elemental flares, and 2,500 for the base armor (everything on it except the Sanctify and lesser moods).
  • Seashells: 35,000 for knockout flares.

Further explanations:

  • The old Ebon Gate currency of seashells was basically free to diggers, which is one reason digging went away.
  • I only made her runestaff for Duskruin Arena, but the grind isn't what it used to be because the book market isn't what it used to be, so it might get sold off eventually.

Future plans:

After her sledgehammer is fully Sanctified, including holy fire, I'll add magma flares that I won at Ebon Gate (and will still carry a charge of 30,000 soul shards). Her cuirass will eventually be fully Sanctified minus holy fire.

Wizard 2

Gear:

  • A glistening mist blue staff-of-Lumnis accented with a fiery red tip: runestaff, orase, +25, disruption flares, Fatal Afflares, tier 2 Sprite Weapon crush, lesser moods
  • A pair of fingerless white gloves wrist-adorned with blue teardrop sapphires: gloves, leather, 1 CER crit weighting, +20, water flares, Fatal Afflares, tier 3 Fantabulous (fluff script), lesser moods, pocketed
  • A pair of thin white sandals ankle-adorned with blue teardrop sapphires: shoes, leather, 1 CER crit weighting, +25, water flares, Fatal Afflares, tier 3 Fantabulous (fluff script), lesser moods, pocketed
  • A snowy off-shoulder dress with white pearl accents on a wavy aqua skirt: robes, cloth, 5 CER crit padding, +25, water flares, Fatal Afflares, Joola (fluff script), lesser moods

Total cost in pay event currency:

  • Bloodscrip: 20,000 for disruption flares on her staff, 10,000 for Fatal Afflares (fluff), 50,000 for the Sprite Weapon script and upgrades, and 10,000 for lesser moods (fluff).
  • Seashells: 22,500 for water flares.

Further explanations:

  • The old Ebon Gate currency of seashells was basically free to diggers, which is one reason digging went away.
  • Her gloves and sandals were upgraded over time from the +0 pocketed gloves and sandals sold at Rose's Arms Depot in Mist Harbor. At the time, wizard enchanting below the +20 mark didn't cost weekly resource points. If I were to do this today, I'd instead use the +20 pocketed handwraps and footwraps in the back room of Tykel's Arms in Wehnimer's Landing.
  • Her dress was bought as +20 at an Ebon Gate festival for silvers.

Future plans:

Her dress will eventually be fully Sanctified. Other than that, I consider her gear finished--or, if anything, over finished since I'm not sure I would have bought the tier 2 Sprite Weapon upgrade in hindsight.
