Gathering in the Rusty Cutlass

[Rusty Cutlass, Grub Hall]

Burnished wooden planks curve out to form the massive hall of the tavern's entrance, with rows of sturdy oaken posts rising to connect with a network of rafters above. Dozens of blackened oil lanterns hang from the ceiling, their light at times a haze behind wisps of smoke drifting in from the galley. In the center rests a huge cast-iron pot surrounded by countless tables and barrel chairs. A half-circle driftwood bar is nestled in the corner beneath a salt-stained crest. You also see a veniom-banded oak keg personalized with the image of a mighty titan, a black-toed saddleback foxhound, an animated broadsword hovering in mid-air, a variable spring spirit that is flying around, an open archway leading to a wooden plank bridge, a wide wooden ramp and a large driftwood box.

The last thing people tried was Anstara and Evii casting fire spells at them and it not working, which drew this chuckle from Leafi.)

I didn't know Saraphenia personally in character, but I did know Septuna, one of her earlier/other characters, however long ago it was. I WANT to say it was close to a decade ago...if not more, but I've since lost track of how long. I still remember the unexpected random kindness that led to her becoming Saevia's adoptive mother, and that aspect of the person has never left my mind, though we more or less parted ways when she started playing other characters more...we never lost contact outside of GS. To this day, I am, and dare I say it, we are all better people for knowing her. For having her touch our lives in various ways. I strongly suspect she would be both proud and more than happy to see such a gathering in her memory."

Speaking softly to Aerocus, Eralice says, "She means living up to Phenia's example."

Leafiara says, "These things are bigger than they look." (the small chests; Leafi had wanted to buy fancier "gift bags" than passing out arge sacks, but it turns out the chests are six pounds each)

Leafiara says, "Can't fit many in that backpack."

Aerocus asks, "Need help?"

Aerocus scratches his chin.

Leafiara says, "A little, yeah."

Leafiara says, "Trying to empty all these chests and sacks and whatever else into the backpack."

Aerocus says, "Just tell me what to do."

Leafiara chuckles.

Yardie says, "One second."

Iskandr chuckles.

Leafiara says, "I actually don't even know where the trash disposal is around here."

Toxyrox says, "Box."

Iskandr says, "Always Yardie has to get his magic done."

Speaking to Iskandr, Yardie says, "Man I made a priority to not do so earlier."

Leafiara jokes, "If I'd known all people would want was the leaflets, I wouldn't have made the chrisms and medallions too..."

Leafiara snickers.

Iskandr says, "Dunno what a skilled expert like you needs from that lady anyway."

Leafiara says, "Hmm."

Eralice softly says, "Who else needs a leaflet? Just found one."

Aerocus says, "That stout from Citan's keg sneaks up on you.."

Aerocus hiccups!

Iskandr chuckles.

Leafiara says, "Think that's all the chests emptied now."

Leafiara says, "Just need to find somewhere to trash them."

Iskandr says, "There's a whole bay."

Speaking to Citan, Leafiara asks, "Get that to Jules and we'll call them RYSK donations or something?" (the remaining chrisms and fire opal medallions)

Leafiara grins.

Aerocus takes a deep breath.

Citan nods.

Citan deeply says, "Sounds good to me."

Speaking to Eralice, Leafiara says, "I think those just come from the local cleric shop, so probably not worth anything... maybe just toss them."

Leafiara stretches her arms out in front of her, attempting to loosen the tension in her neck and shoulders.

Julenne moves to Citan's side and they lace their fingers together.

Leafiara says, "It's odd..."

Leafiara says, "While we were building up to this day, I kept thinking to myself..."

Leafiara says, "I kept thinking that I hoped I'd just magically feel better once it was over, but also feeling like I 'knew' I wouldn't."

Leafiara says, "But I actually do feel a lot better."

Burnished wooden planks curve out to form the massive hall of the tavern's entrance, with rows of sturdy oaken posts rising to connect with a network of rafters above. Dozens of blackened oil lanterns hang from the ceiling, their light at times a haze behind wisps of smoke drifting in from the galley. In the center rests a huge cast-iron pot surrounded by countless tables and barrel chairs. A half-circle driftwood bar is nestled in the corner beneath a salt-stained crest. You also see the glaesine Yardie disk streaked with cobalt veins, a green-eyed white kitten, a jungle samoyed, the Eralice disk, the Citan disk, a titan-stamped steel-lipped oak stein, a veniom-banded oak keg personalized with the image of a mighty titan, the Falvicar disk, a blue-swirled silver wax candle, a petal-wrapped beeswax candle, a white-masked reddish brown puppy with high triangular ears, the repousse copper Leafiara disk raised in leafy designs, the prismatic Snowhulbe disk, an open archway leading to a wooden plank bridge, a wide wooden ramp and a large driftwood box.
