Maatin the Master Burglar

Maatin was a master burglar who became infamous for rabbitknapping a one-eared rabbit, the town rabbit of River's Rest.

The rabbitknapping of Fluffy was not the first instance of Maatin getting into mischief in River's Rest. Prior to the event when he stole the rabbit (and consequently cut off one of its ears), Maatin was involved in the burglary of a precious statue, which he hoped to sell to a halfling merchant. Maatin's plot, which ran from the 20th of Eorgaen to the 11th of Lormestra, was foiled when Barleon, a thief-catcher, organized adventurers in River's Rest and Solhaven to stop him. In both criminal events, Maatin managed to elude capture and his where abouts remained unknown hence forth.
