This year at Rumor Woods, you'll be able to assemble a little mech spinner. You will need to get the exoskeleton from the TOURNEY VAULT that is being sold in the SimuCoin Store. These are character attuned.
They require 10 additional parts to complete. Instead of getting something random in the event by running it, there will be a pile of scrap metal you can SEARCH for raikhen to find everything you need to finish it. Given Rumor Woods has a bit more item management from the item drops, I felt it was a better option to let you choose if you want to participate in this vs being forced to deal with stuff from prize packages. There will be rarity levels, sort of like the create-a-golem parts.
On the exoskeleton you will ADD {part} TO {exoskeleton} to attach a piece you find. You will need a body, gears, a beetle head, beetle antennae, beetle wings, beetle legs, spider head, spider eyes, spider spinneret, and spider legs. You are building both at the same time and can pick and choose parts. The body and gears will be for both the beetle and spider. If you've already added a piece and wish to replace it, you can, but you will lose the old piece.
Once you add all ten parts, it will be complete. You can PRESS it to transform it from exoskeleton, beetle, and spider, you choose! Each have some slightly different flavor. You can WEAR it at this point or simply bring it out when you wish to use it. It has some verb traps to play around, otherwise it is a spinner! The spinner will store up to 99 names until it needs to be reset. You can reset at any point. It uses some more basic random choosing than a merchant spinner, but it is relatively the same. You must SPIN each time to choose someone. It will store names by default, but you can reset between spins if you want it to be able to select the same person twice.
If you don't want to participate in this, you can BREAK the exoskeleton for a violet exp orb. Be warned, there is no replacement and you will not be able to complete your mech spinner. You only get one chance to build this. The violet exp orb will be account attuned so you can hand those off to other characters on your account.

The pile of scrap metal will likely be out tomorrow vs opening night as I made a last minute adjustment to have more customized pieces to add that I don't want to rush out the door. You will be able to BREAK your exoskeletons tonight if you want that sweep exp nectar though.

Almost ready. I'm going to disable a couple features so I can make sure it's out tonight and then add those features back in so that I have a little more time to try to figure out what went wrong.
Once the update is out, you will operate these like the golem chassis with ADD the parts. There are 10 parts. I will be selling a generic one of each so you don't have to take any sort of luck to finding all ten pieces in a prize pile. They will be 5 raikhen each on a dray. The pile of scrap metal will be out tomorrow which is when you can find an assortment of different parts (this is one feature that I'm nailing down an issue with). I am reducing the cost of the searches from 5 raikhen to 2.
Once you have added all 10 parts, you will need to PRESS it. SPIN is only available as a beetle or a spider. You can revert it back to just an exoskeleton if you want to turn it completely off (ambient messaging will be there once I fix the other features). SPIN will store 99 names (I originally said 100, but I need to keep the user involved as a +1). You will have to SPIN each time to select. You may LISTEN to it to see the list (will be long if you have 99 names on it). You cannot SPIN once it's full of names. To clear out the names, COVER it.
You can LOOK at it to see what you have created (or what parts you need). When it's complete, it has a different LOOK. You can replace parts with ADD like the golem chassis, but you lose the part. There is a warning when you're replacing a part.

Exoskeletons have been updated. Shop will be out momentarily. And then scrap pile will be out soon after. The item concept and code was done by me, Thandiwe was involved in the initial brainstorming of the idea and created the majority of the parts..
The patchwork metal dray is with the jouster NPC for markers. That's where the scrap pile will be too once it's ready.

There are legs that you can find, some are beetle, some are spider. A level 20 burghal gnome can TINKER the legs to fit another build. And you'll gain +1 fame for it, becoming a renowned steampunk gnome.

Answered in game, but LOOK will show you what the part is. INSPECT the exoskeleton for what you need/have. LISTEN to know who you spun. COVER to erase the names. SPIN to select. WEAR to put it on. BREAK to destroy it. ADD to attach parts. TINKER legs for level b-gnomes. Verbs to come are TURN to crank it for ambient messaging while worn.
I'll have something in ANALYZE soon. Some stuff will be added to the golems, like the Opalina situation.
