Morphing Runestaff

Morphing runestaves are items that can transform back and forth between a wearable accessory and a runestaff. Much like other morphing items, each side, accessory and weapon, is able to altered. Originally created by GM Tilmont in 2003, it received a major overhaul in 2021 and is now sold at the Duskruin shop The Modern Morph. Analyze You analyze your wooden runestaff and sense that the creator has provided the following information: This is a Morphing Runestaff, which can be transformed into a wristlet when it is clenched for the cost of 5 mana. You may customize the wristlet by changing its base description, giving it a long description or show. It is currently customized in the following ways: Customize 15/15/15: (Currently: a rune wristlet) Customized show description: (Currently: This wristlet is formed from a solid piece of wood and traced all around with small, intricate runes. Faint swirls of light swim beneath the surface of the wood, ebbing and pulsing with a dull white illumination.) The runestaff may be customized under normal alteration rules. You cannot change where a wristlet can be worn, but you can change the noun to any acceptable synonyms. It is currently tier 2 of 2. It has access to the following verbs as a runestaff: Bow, Clench, Grin, Lean, Point, Raise, Rub, and Spin It has access to the following verbs as a wristlet: Bow, Clench, Exhale, Nudge, Push, Tap, Touch, and Rub You can tell that the runestaff is as light as it can get. The runestaff may display a different noun other than "Morphing Runestaff" in its ANALYZE because it draws from the noun of the analyzed runestaff. Staff Usage Tier Verb First Third Tier 1 Bow USAGE: BOW MY {runestaff} [AT {Player, Self, Object, Creature}] Bow (player) You hold your runestaff in front of you and bow to Locksmith. Innocent holds her runestaff in front of her and bows to you. Bow (self) You hold your runestaff in front of you and bow your head to it. Innocent holds her runestaff in front of her and bows her head to it. Bow (item) You hold your runestaff in front of you and bow to the fireplace. Innocent holds her runestaff in front of her and bows to the fireplace. Bow (creature) You hold your runestaff in front of you and bow to the resident garrett priestess. Innocent holds her runestaff in front of her and bows to the resident garrett priestess. Lean USAGE: LEAN MY {runestaff} [AT {Player, Self, Object, Creature}] Lean (player) Planting the base of your runestaff, you lean towards Locksmith. Innocent plants the base of her runestaff and leans in towards you. Lean (self) You release your runestaff and let it lean casually against your shoulder. Innocent releases her runestaff and lets it lean against her shoulder. Lean (item) Planting the base of your runestaff, you lean towards a fireplace. You listen for a moment, wondering if the fireplace knows the way. Innocent plants the base of her runestaff and leans towards a fireplace and seems to be listening intently to the fireplace. Lean (creature) Planting the base of your runestaff, you lean towards the resident garrett priestess. Innocent plants the base of her runestaff and leans towards the resident garrett priestess. Clench (held) The circlet in your hand grows warm and limp. It reforms into a polished mahogany runestaff capped with a intricately carved ivory rose. XXX's circlet glows and slowly reforms into a polished mahogany runestaff capped with a intricately carved ivory rose. Rub You dust some dirt from your circlet. XXX dusts some dirt off from her circlet. Tap As you tap your circlet, it begins to melt and reforms into a polished mahogany runestaff capped with a intricately carved ivory rose in your hand. As XXX taps her circlet, it melts into her hand and reforms into a polished mahogany runestaff capped with a intricately carved ivory rose.
