Synopsis
A spherical form appears in the distance from Wehnimer's Landing--then, soon afterward, large rocks hurtle into the area! Then they're followed up by flaming spheres! Soon, bears, lions, and krynches attack the gates, then come the stone arcanists, stone mastiffs, earth elementals, Illoke, stone trolls, stone sentinels, stone legionnaires, and stone warbringers.
A voice in the distance bellows its message of no interlopers! A few people try to convey that they're sending a message to the wrong people, but the stone creatures don't hear and say that if 'they' (presumably the Turamzzyrian Empire) seek land, them sift through ashes to claim it. With that, the Lower Dragonsclaw forest lights ablaze!
As the battle continues, a voice says that if they wish a king, it will be Gnul! However, the stone creatures' attack is repelled for the night and all is quiet.
Highlights
Through the curtain of falling white snow, a huge spherical form appears in the distance then falls out of sight. A huge shadowy form appears in the sky, rising up amidst the backdrop of snow then drops out of sight. Evia asks, "Is it...is it...the great pumpkin?"
[Realm] Pookia thinks, "Were giant flaming rocks part of the annexation."
A huge, rugged voice bellows in the distance, "Our message will be clear...no interlopers!" Irval yells, "I dont agree with the empire either! Still your attack! Maybe we can parley!" Vaemyr yells, "You are sending the message to the wrong people!" Leafiara yells, "Tell it to the Empire!" Irval yells, "Dont attack those who could be your allies! Thats just..bad form!"
[Realm] Pookia thinks, "Its wild how the illoke mobilized faster than a bunch of landing citizens even got the memo. someones gotta get me in touch with their union leader."
Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "I await the part of this where the Empire offers help and the Landing refuses it while simultaneously saying that the Empire brought this on the town and should do something about it." [Realm] Puptilian thinks, "I think we charge the repairs to the empire this time. its their initative to do this. We shouldn't pay for it." [General] Irval thinks, "Aye, And I dont see any imperial representatives guarding our walls, healing our fallen, or raising our dead..." [General] Chandrellia asks, "Look, right now we have bigger stones to worry about at this very minute, lets get this under control then worry about the rest, please?" Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "You know, when I said that earlier, I didn't expect it to happen within ten minutes."
Dendum says, "Perhaps we can put signs up directing them to fort of mestanirs." Dendum says, "At least get rocks aimed in right direction."
Leafiara says, "You know, if the Empire attempted to claim the Red Forest, we'd really be in trouble. Then the Ilvari would come." Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "That's when we just leave and go north up the coast... ain't nobody that wants that fight." Vaemyr says, "I say that but none of us will be able to move cause we'll have three tons of rocks in our backs." Speaking to Leafiara, Kiyna says, "Let them have it, I say. They'll change their minds within the week."

[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Niniemeth disk, an air wyrdling, the Vaemyr disk, a floppy-eared white puppy masked with a patch of void black fur, an animated flayed gigas disciple, the faenor Chandrellia disk inlaid with intersecting bands of jet, the mist-hazed Asthenea disk, a lanky bleached white imp, the Kezoku disk, the Kippe disk, an amber-eyed tawny range wolf, the Beansie disk, the Kiyna disk, the flaming Nairena disk, the Guarrin disk, the Khazaann disk, the Tybril disk, a sinuous bone white serpent that is sitting, an iron-banded thanot keg of Oiran winter ale, an iron-banded cedar keg of toasty Gallardshold ale, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia exclaims, "Ofcourse it is! we get to wqatch from the sidelines now!"
Speaking to Evia, Rhaladin says, "Ah'll take ten. Long as as' kin keep it."
Speaking cheerfully to Vaemyr, Leafiara exclaims, "I can neither confirm nor deny these claims!"
Speaking happily to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara asks, "Owly! How are you, my friend?"

Speaking warmly to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara says, "So feathery."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Careful, between Cryheart, myself and others, Owly is gonna be so fat you'll have to roll him everywhere."
The sky is filled with a blanket of low clouds, pale and unmoving. Sounds seem muffled and the air feels thick and takes on a quiet stillness.
Rhaladin says, "How does tha' thing still fly."
Leafiara exclaims, "Kegs!"
The coppery barn owl hoots at Rhaladin.

You notice Puptilian moving stealthily into the area.
Chandrellia says, "Aahh there we go."
Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Rhaladin says, "Aye, wings, but yer' verra fat."

Leafiara adds, "Though there is still another keg."
The coppery barn owl hoots at Rhaladin.
Cryheart says, "Aye."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Couldnt remember how to get a mug."
Speaking cheerfully to Kippe, Leafiara adds, "And don't think I didn't notice your look either!"
Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Rhaladin says, "Tha's alright though laddie, makes ye' more combat effective."
Speaking happily to Puptilian, Leafiara says, "Pup! I was just saying the other night that I understand what you mean about things being better from this side of the governing."
Vaemyr says, "On other news, just as I'm unsure if we had came to a final conclusion or not, did we decide what we were gonna try to do for Thadston's sentient shard problem? I think we discussed luring them into another host or inanimate host, removing them and putting them in something like a bane coffin, putting Thadston in a bane coffin, though he didn't like that idea..."
Light flakes of snow descend from the sky.

Cryheart says, "Some snow flakes."
Speaking to Tikba, Kippe agrees, "Not often."
Speaking amusedly to Vaemyr, Leafiara rebuts, "You're the councilor. You're supposed to tell us what the plan is."
Speaking to Pookia, Nairena says, "Its a beautiful night."
Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna asks, "Yeah, councilor, what's the plan?"
Kayse offers, "Maybe we should focus on one problem at a time."
Khazaann says, "Snow."
Brews quietly mentions, "I feel like I was exactly right here doing exactly this an hour ago. Like deja vu all over again."
Speaking hopefully to Vaemyr, Leafiara pleads, "Give us council, oh councilor!"
Speaking to Vaemyr, Pookia exclaims, "Yeah tell us!"
Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Excellent! just what I wanted to hear."
Rhaladin says, "Aye finally tha' colds 'ere."
Nairena exclaims, "Snow is great!"
Speaking to Vaemyr, Chandrellia says, "Just food for thought tho, you may get accusd of having the wrong idea when its teh right idea."
Pookia swoons.
Glistening flurries of snow gently drift down from the sky.
Pookia thrashes around on the ground.
Speaking amusedly to Chandrellia, Leafiara asks, "What's this 'may' stuff?"
Pookia exclaims, "Snow pookies!"
Chandrellia says, "Seasoned."
Speaking to Nairena, Rhaladin says, "'cept when ya' fall o'er drunk an' it goes right up tha' kilt."
Missoni cheerfully greets, "Fair eve."
Rhaladin says, "Soberes ye' up ah fair bit though aye."
Leafiara says, "Ahhh, nice ale."
Evia says, "Be invoked."

Speaking to Alosaka, Guarrin says, "Your return from the east has some unfortunate timing for someone that does not enjoy the cold."

[General] Chandrellia playfully exclaims, "Snowball fight!"
Rhaladin says, "Aye some o' us even seek it out."
Rhaladin says, "Up in tha' hinterwilds."
Alosaka asks, "Down south, it never snows. Isn't that wonderful?"
Speaking to Missoni, Guarrin says, "Oh, I enjoy it. I know Alosaka is less than pleased though."
Speaking suddenly to Chandrellia, Leafiara exclaims, "Oh, I haven't seen snow piles yet!"
Speaking to Alosaka, Missoni admits, "It gets colder as the months wear on."
The voice of Raelee says, "If you do not care for the cold, Alosaka, you should learn to simply... not be cold."
Speaking amusedly to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "No, unchanging weather is boring."
Cryheart says, "A good thought."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Me either, but oohh am I waiting, AMos is getting hit with the first one if I have anything to say about it."
Rhaladin says, "Aye, if ye' get really cold jes' take a dip in ah' icy river until it goes away."
Puptilian says, "If you do not want to be cold go to mule, experience that cold, then come back as its not as bad here."
Pookia declares, "In order to not be cold ya should get yerself a nice fluffy backwards snuggily robe."
Alosaka says, "Well, if we're going to resort to unnatural means..."

Kiyna says, "Thankfully, I have my own ways of staying warm."

Missoni agrees, "That little settlement was aptly named."
As Kiyna rubs her silver band, a ball of vermilion red fire builds in her right hand.
Alosaka says, "It does snow in the desert, sometimes. On winter nights, on high hills."
Kiyna licks her red fire, causing her tongue to glow.
Alosaka says, "And sometimes you'll wake up and the spring will have a glaze of ice near the edges, and you have to break through it to fill your bucket."
Speaking fondly to Kiyna, Leafiara comments, "I like your creativity and imgination."

Speaking to Brews, Missoni says, "You have perhaps been on some shoddy airships, then."
Kisun says, "Dragon.."
Speaking to Brews, Tayler says, "I suspect they just bounce off of mountains."
Leafiara amusedly clarifies, "Talking about his discharged magical semi-sentient sphere things."
Speaking quietly to Irval, Brews replies, "UFA's are reportable to the local constituionary."
Alosaka asks, "Well, lovely. Rocs, perhaps?"
Rhaladin asks, "Dragon!?"
Kisun says, "Can always hope it's a dragon."
Speaking flatly to Tikba, Kayse says, "I have no idea."
Speaking hopefully to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "Oh, I'd love to see one of those."
Tikba says, "That would be a large sphere."
Speaking blandly to Missoni, Brews agrees, "Just military ones."
Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara adds, "But probably not."
Evia asks, "Is it...is it...the great pumpkin?"
Rhaladin says, "Ah jes' saw tha' constable run back inside."

Irval says, "I'll send a flare in case the snow is impeding their vision."
Speaking to Irval, Rhaladin says, "Ah' hope they eat ya' first."
Kisun says, "Was gonna head to bed, but I figure, I'll stay and see what the fuss is all about."
Rhaladin says, "Dinnae tell tha' dragon where we are."
Speaking optimistically to Kisun, Leafiara asks, "What could possibly go wrong?"
Speaking to Rhaladin, Irval says, "I've got better regeneration than a troll. It'll be fine.."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Did I miss anything?"
Speaking amiably to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Only the usual fear and loathing."

Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Nairena asks, "Is that handsome fellow returning with more demands?"

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a round red wooden door set into the base of a hill and a large purple wooden barrel.
Brews says, "Hrm."
Nairena says, "The one from last night."
Evia says, "Phew."
From nearby, you hear Tayler yell, "TAKE COVER!"
Leafiara yells, "Never!"
Speaking to Kayse, Pukk says, "You are attracted to lightning I see."
Leafiara muses, "Maybe a parasol, though."
Kayse grumbles, "Impeccable aim."
Leafiara removes a brilliant white parasol dotted with painted cherries and leaves from in her instrument case.
Pukk says, "Rocks..."
Speaking to Kayse, Chandrellia says, "They better do better cause I'm fast."
