READY takes a designated weapon out of its sheath. It is part of the group of verbs that makes item handling safer and easier.

Usage

Ready:

Valid options are: READY SHIELD  (CLEAR)
      READY WEAPON  (CLEAR)
      READY 2WEAPON (CLEAR)
      READY RANGED  (CLEAR)
      READY AMMO    (CLEAR)
      READY WAND    (CLEAR)

Clicking the above options will ready or clear the selected item.
Use READY LIST to view your current settings.

Ready list:

Your current settings are:

  shield: (none) (worn if possible, stowed otherwise)
  weapon: a marred runestaff (worn if possible, stowed otherwise)
  secondary weapon: (none) (worn if possible, stowed otherwise)
  ranged weapon: (none) (worn if possible, stowed otherwise)
  ammo bundle: (none) (worn if possible, stowed otherwise)
  sheath: a long dark velvet witch's cloak (not found)
  secondary sheath: (none)

To change your default item for a category that is already set, clear the category first by clicking on the item in the list above.  Click here to update the list.

Ready weapon:

You remove a webbed arashan-carved staff tipped with a smooth amber wand from in your red charmeuse bodice.

Ready 2weapon:

You do not have a default secondary weapon set.

Currently valid weapons:

     a webbed arashan-carved staff tipped with a smooth amber wand (in your red charmeuse bodice)
     a faenor-banded silvery lor staff (in your red charmeuse bodice)
     a rowan-handled faenor pilum (in your spidersilk satchel)
     a crystal-hafted void black warlance (in your double-breasted waistcoat)
     a ruby-hilted silvery mithril dagger (in your black leather sheath)
     a stone grey drake dagger (in your chamois knee-boots)

Setting 2weapon (clickable):
