STRETCH is a roleplay verb that allows the character to stretch various parts of the body depending on the style. There are additional styles available for Aelotoi, Erithians, and citizens of Mist Harbor.

Usage

Usage:
   STRETCH               - You stretch.
   STRETCH {style}       - Stretch in an optional style.
   STRETCH SET [OPTION]  - Shows or sets the STRETCH verb options.

Where {style} is one of the following:
   UP    DOWN   LEFT   RIGHT
   BACK  FORWARD
   ARM   HAND   NECK   TOES 
   Sitting only:       HAWK       DIAMOND
   Standing only:     MOUNTAIN   TREE 
   Laying only:        WAVE       MOON 
   Kneeling only:      CHILD      CAMEL

General:
STANDARD    - You stretch.
AELOTOI     - You stretch, flexing your wings.
ERITHIAN    - One of the kamas will be chosen at random.

Optional styles:
STANDARD
  BACK      - Raising your arms slightly, you arch your back and gently
              let your head rock back in a relaxing stretch.
  DOWN      - Bending forward at the waist, you reach down with your
              hands and gently stretch your fingers toward your feet.
  FORWARD   - Stretching your arms out in front of you, you rotate your
              shoulders forward and roll your neck in an attempt to
              loosen the tension in your neck and shoulders.
  LEFT      - Slowly turning your shoulders to the left, you stretch
              the muscles in your lower back.
  RIGHT     - Slowly turning your shoulders to the right, you stretch
              the muscles in your lower back.
  UP        - Interlocking your fingers, you slowly extend your arms
              up over your head in a long, satisfying stretch.
ERITHIAN
  CAMEL     - You slide your hands along the floor away from you as you
              bend forward, bringing your torso to rest between your
              out-turned knees.  You place your forehead on the floor
              and relax into the posture.
  CHILD     - Sitting up on your knees, you reach both arms behind you and
              place your open palms on your flexed feet.  You stretch your
              heart upward, bowing your back as you gaze up at the ceiling.
  DIAMOND   - Drawing your legs together in front of you, you position
              your heels and toes against each other, forming a diamond.
  HAWK      - You fold your left leg beneath you, extending your right
              leg behind you fully.  Raising your arms overhead you arch
              your back, easing the tension in your spine.
  MOON      - Balancing on your stomach you extend your arms above and
              behind you, grasping your ankles.  Drawing your limbs
              upward, your body forms a complete circle.
  MOUNTAIN  - Gracefully bending at the waist, you place your palms and
              wrists on the ground in front of you, extending the pose
              forward until your body forms a perfect mountain peak.
  TREE      - Extending your arms straight up over your head, you draw
              one leg up toward the center of your body, balancing
              lightly on your remaining leg.
  WAVE      - You fold your hands deliberately over your chest and then
              arch your back until your neck and spine form a perfect
              arch.  Elevating your legs evenly, you perform the precise
              wave posture.
MIST HARBOR
  ARM       - You swing your arm about, and while there might be a few
              pops, it still seems to work.
  HAND      - You clench your hand repeatedly, ensuring all the fingers
              still work as they should.
  NECK      - You slowly move your head around, trying to remove any
              stiffness from your neck.
  TOES      - You flex your toes to make sure none of them are broken.

NOTE:  ONLY first person messaging is listed unless it differs substantially from other versions.  Wedding messaging will only work with your spouse, all other targets default to standard messaging.  Messaging without an option shown applies to all options.  Special scripts and areas may override listed messaging.

General Styles

Up
>stretch up
Interlocking your fingers, you slowly extend your arms up over your head in a long, satisfying stretch.
Down
>stretch down
Bending forward at the waist, you reach down with your hands and gently stretch your fingers towards your feet.
Left
>stretch left
Slowly turning your shoulders to the left, you stretch the muscles in your lower back.
Right
>stretch right
Slowly turning your shoulders to the right, you stretch the muscles in your lower back.
Forward
>stretch forward
Stretching your arms out in front of you, you rotate your shoulders forward and roll your neck in an attempt to loosen the tension in your neck and shoulders.
Back
>stretch back
Raising your arms slightly, you arch your back and gently let your head rock back in a relaxing stretch.

Aelotoi Options

Aelotoi characters may stretch their wings.

Erithian Options

Erithian characters have a few style options to allow them to practice katas.

Gracefully bending at the waist, you place your palms and wrists on the ground in front of you, extending the pose forward until your body forms a perfect mountain peak.

Extending your arms straight up over your head, you draw one leg up toward the center of your body, balancing lightly on your remaining leg.

You sit down.

You fold your left leg beneath you, extending your right leg behind you fully.  Raising your arms overhead you arch your back, easing the tension in your spine.
Vanah folds her left leg beneath her, extending her right leg behind her fully.  Raising her arms overhead she arches her back, easing the tension in her spine.

s>stretch diamond
Drawing your legs together in front of you, you position your heels and toes against each other, forming a diamond.
Vanah draws her legs up in front of herself, positioning her heels and toes against each other to form a perfect diamond.

s>lie
You lie down.

P>stretch wave
You fold your hands deliberately over your chest and then arch your back until your neck and spine form a perfect arch.  Elevating your legs evenly, you perform the precise wave posture.

P>stretch moon
Balancing on your stomach you extend your arms above and behind you, grasping your ankles.  Drawing your limbs upward, your body forms a complete circle.

P>Kneel
You move to a kneeling position.

K>stretch camel
Sitting up on your knees, you reach both arms behind you and place your open palms on your flexed feet.  You stretch your heart upward, bowing your back as you gaze up at the ceiling.
Sitting up on her knees, Vanah reaches both arms behind her and places her open palms on her flexed feet.  While her torso stays motionless, she bows backward, gazing up at the ceiling.

K>stretch child
You slide your hands along the floor away from you as you bend forward, bringing your torso to rest between your out-turned knees.  You place your forehead on the floor and relax into the posture.
Vanah slides her hands in front of her as she folds forward, allowing her head to rest on the floor.

Mist Harbor Citizen Options

Premium subscribers that are also citizens of Mist Harbor can use additional stretch styles.

Arm
>stretch arm
You swing your arm about, and while there might be a few pops, it still seems to work.
Wyrom swings his arm around, grimacing a little while he tries to limber it up.
Hand
>stretch hand
You clench your hand repeatedly, ensuring all the fingers still work as they should.
Wyrom flexes his hand repeatedly, ensuring it still works.
Neck
>stretch neck
You slowly move your head around, trying to remove any stiffness from your neck.
Wyrom slowly moves his head around, getting the kinks out of his neck.  Maybe he slept funny?
Toe

You flex your toes inside your <footwear> to make sure none of them are broken.
Wyrom flex his toes, making sure none of them are broken.
