Headline: Accords signed between Mirror And Emperor...Again
The Valley of Gold seems to have gotten a revival in a surprise assembly in Nielira Harbor of Ta'Nalfein. The Kasendra Malwind Accords promise the sharing of cultural ideals, security information and border reinforcement. Things most assume were already covered in the Valley of Gold but with the very curious addition that the Mirror will open her city to property ownership and citizenship to more individuals. An interesting turn of events given that the present citizenry is filled with ire and discomfort at the state of the of the court following the lack of action for the events that have dimmed the Shining City. Perhaps the Mirror and her Council simply believe currying favor with outsiders is a simpler task than trying to win back the lost confidence of the current population. We have to wonder what Lady Ardtin would have to say about this, were she still present.
Headline: Sayilla Javilerre alive! Yfane sighted! Others still missing
In another interesting, yet welcome, turn of events, Sayilla who was believed to have been murdered on an Imperial ship was revealed to be alive and well, though with deliriously warm sentiments towards those who kept her in secrecy in the Vornavis court. While we celebrate this and are gladdened to see Lord Commander Murstyr feeling whole once more, we cannot help but wonder what is being done to locate the others. Lord Yfane and some of his entourage were present last night at the signing of the accords, explaining how they were in town to plan a wedding and A Twist of Roses had been left to an apprentice. That means two of the "missing" individuals were simply just not in fact, in any danger and yet the Sapphire Guard could not locate them. What does their failure suggest if those who remain missing, Lady Ardtin, Gasen and Polimynia, are in any real danger?
Headline: The Rose and the Rosebud
Familiar relationships can often be trying, particularly ones between a mother and daughter. How much more so when that relationship also has to balance the weight of an entire nation and all the political and cultural intricacies that come along with it?
Shocking and deliciously sensational the mysterious "Hand of House Eilstina", Mistress Leisette, was called out directly and pointedly by her mother, Queen Rhosyn of House Nalfein in front of the crowd gathered to watch the accords. Tensions in the royal court of Nalfein? Well my darlings, we would want it any other way. Hail to Princess Leisette of House Nalfein.
Headline: Green Death within our Walls!
Peacefully slumbering residents and citizens of the Shining City woke to the horrors of a highly infectious plague earlier this week. While the contagion was brought swiftly under control in a matter of days by the expedient actions of many - through their tireless efforts in creating, distributing and administering a known cure - one has to ask how such a calamity could befall out great city? Sources have revealed that it likely originated in the west and, once through our gates, it spread rapidly along our Weys and Vars and into our homes. Many are now asking what measures have been put in place to ensure there is no repeat of this threat. It all boils - I couldn't resist - down to prevention being better than cure.
Headline: Court Circulars
