Log captured in the view of Opalina

[Clovertooth, Mayor's Office - 29544] (u4043050)

Walls paneled with ancient pinewood frame the low-ceilinged room, which is illuminated by starlight winking in through a large bay window with a fine-grained cedar bench beneath it. Behind an antique spruce desk equipped with inks, quills, and scrawled papers sits an imposing chair of leather simply adorned with silver studs. Hanging on the wall above the seat is a mounted rolaren knife affixed to an equally aged modwir board, the sole extraneous decoration to the office. You also see a riveted hoarbeam door.

Also here: Lord Sorlu, Talliver who is sitting

Obvious exits: none

Roelon followed.

You close a riveted hoarbeam door.

Roelon's eyes suddenly flash with a deep sanguine glow.

Roelon playfully flips the folds of his black woolen kilt.

You latch a riveted hoarbeam door.

Talliver says, "Good evening."

Roelon nods at Sorlu.

Roelon nods to Talliver in greeting.

The apple bourbon flavor fades from your lips as the lipbalm wears off!

Sorlu smiles.

Sorlu removes the hat from atop his head.

Sorlu bows.

Sorlu makes a grand, sweeping gesture with his Nalfein-styled cane.

You curtsy.

You settle yourself on the cedar bench for a moment's rest.

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "Good to see you Councillor."

Roelon deeply says, "Ah good eve thus far."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "And you, Councillor."

Sorlu smiles.

Sorlu dons his suede hat.

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "And ye as well." You melodically say, "Good evening to you all."

Roelon dusts off his black woolen kilt.

Roelon removes a piece of ebon parchment from in his black woolen kilt.

Roelon put a piece of ebon parchment in his black woolen kilt.

Sorlu glances appraisingly at Talliver.

Roelon scoffs at a roughly knit woolen kilt threaded with rhimar studs.

You see Talliver Dabbings.

He appears to be a Paradis Halfling.

He is tallish and has a fighter's build. He appears to be in the flower of life. He has stern glacial blue eyes and weathered skin. He has short-cropped, greying curly brown hair worn in a military cut. He has a hard face, a sharp nose and a wiry arms that are corded with muscle. He has more than a few scars.

He is in good shape.

He is wearing an old silver locket, a heavy fur coat, a high-necked pale blue doublet with carved ivory mule buttons, a light grey cotton shirt, a forged silver signet ring, a curved hoarbeam scabbard set with a shining blue sapphire fang, some dark grey combed wool trousers, and a pair of polished black leather boots.

Roelon removes a crisp white parchment from in his black woolen kilt.

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "So, would you mind filling us in now?"

Sorlu chuckles.

Roelon glances at Talliver.

Roelon opens his folded parchment.

Roelon deeply says, "Aye, seems we are ah bit behind on some ...issues."

You melodically say, "That's a nice looking locket."

Talliver carefully asks, "On what matters specifically?"

You blink.

Roelon deeply asks, "Did ye write this?"

Roelon offers Talliver a crisp white parchment.

Sorlu glances between Roelon and Talliver.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah think it is concernin' whats on here."

Talliver accepts Roelon's white parchment.

You melodically say, "We each recieved a simular letter from you."

Talliver nods at Roelon.

Talliver says, "I did write these, yes."

In the Common language, it reads:

Dear Councillor Opalina,

You have undoubtedly noticed my scant presence in the midst of our growing difficulties with Ta'Vaalor. I am increasingly concerned at the efforts of the Vaalor to apply pressure to Icemule Trace in the wake of Councillor Sorlu's letter and the obvious intervention of Rammael. I'm gratified by the support of the elven peoples, but it has become clear to me that King Qalinor and his court have no intention of ceasing their westward interventions. Because of these efforts, I am writing to inform you that I have used my authority as mayor to authorize a project I believe necessary to Icemule Trace's protection and safety. I will debrief the Council on this matter at their convenience, but I must demand your utmost secrecy given the tense and worsening relations with the East.

Respectfully yours,

Talliver Dabbings

Mayor of Icemule Trace

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Talliver offers Roelon a crisp white parchment.

Roelon deeply says, "We are most curious to this project."

Roelon accepts Talliver's white parchment.

Roelon idly creases his parchment.

Sorlu adopts an agreeable expression.

Roelon put a crisp white parchment in his black woolen kilt.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah believe we suspect what has been happenin' near Cold Water."

Roelon deeply says, "Yir Cousin is ah terrible liar."

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Sorlu grins at Roelon.

You ponder the meaning of Talliver's existence.

Talliver says, "What I am going to say must be kept utterly and completely secret."

Roelon glances at Sorlu.

Roelon deeply asks, "This means ...all of us aye?"

Sorlu surreptitiously glances at you.

Sorlu nods at Talliver.

You nod.

Sorlu vows, "Of course."

Talliver says, "I'm not an optimist by nature."

Roelon nods once.

Talliver says, "From the start of these troubles with Ta'Vaalor, I've known that the only way we would be able to put a stop to matters is if Icemule Trace were able to defend itself."

Sorlu nods slowly at Talliver.

Gazing through the bay window, you see...

[Commerce Burrow, Sylvan Hollow - 29544] (u4043050) A wide cul-de-sac lined with cobblestones spreads before a two-story stone structure. Scaffolding climbs the facade, laden with the leavings of day workers: cleaning cloths, buckets, and acrid-smelling scouring solution. Much of the building's facade is blackened by scorch marks, and it looks as if an extensive effort at remodeling and recovery is underway. Smoke-darkened windows mark either side of the building's arched entrance, over which the words "Clovertooth Hall" are inlaid in bronze. You also see a musty wool cape.

Obvious paths: north

Roelon folds his arms over his chest.

Roelon nods slowly.

Talliver says, "At the same time, the gnomes we pressed into service after the destruction of the Ravager represented a significant opportunity for the town."

Sorlu adopts an agreeable expression.

Sorlu says, "They are quite the clever pair."

Sorlu flashes a wide grin.

Roelon deeply says, "Annoyingly so."

Roelon nods slowly.

Sorlu begins chuckling at Roelon!

Talliver slowly empties his lungs.

You say, speaking melodically to Talliver, "Im glad they are still useful."

Sorlu cocks his head at Talliver.

Roelon deeply says, "Seein' the weaponry of the Ravager...."

You melodically say, "The gnomes."

Roelon glances at Talliver.

Talliver says, "What we do not have is aerial support."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "Have our gnome friends found a way to change that?"

You smile quietly to yourself.

Talliver leans forward, steepling his fingers. He pauses, as if picking his words very carefully.

Roelon deeply asks, "This is fir the defense of our town, we must remember. Whatever this is. Should it come to it, aye?"

Roelon glances between Sorlu and yourself.

Sorlu raises an eyebrow in Roelon's direction.

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "Of course."

Talliver says, "The Firebird, after all, is sworn to Turamzyrrian interests, however free her crew seems."

Sorlu nods.

Roelon deeply says, "That ah did nae now."

You say, speaking melodically to Roelon, "Me neither."

Sorlu says, "I've heard rumors that Captain Brashton was even knighted by the Empire...or given some such honor."

Talliver nods.

Talliver says, "That's true."

Roelon deeply says, "Interestin'."

Roelon rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Talliver says, "We've called the project the White Wyrm."

Sorlu raises an eyebrow in Talliver's direction.

Roelon slowly empties his lungs.

Sorlu grins slowly.

Roelon deeply says, "So those sounds...it is..."

Sorlu says, "The White Wyrm? That sounds...fascinating."

Roelon glances at Talliver.

Roelon deeply says, "Mah imagination was nae toyin' with me...."

You melodically ask, "'Snowy worm?"

Roelon grins at you.

Talliver says, "She's small and powerful, a ship representing the best of gnomish engineering with the best airship craftsmanship that money can buy."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "And she is capable of standing up against a Vaalorian airship?"

Roelon deeply says, "Small...ah suspect means quicker then those bulky Vaalorian ships..."

Roelon rubs his chin thoughtfully.

You say, speaking melodically to Talliver, "Will she belong to You Mayor or to Icemule." Talliver says, "She's faster and has more teeth."

Sorlu smiles.

Talliver says, speaking to you, "To Icemule Trace."

Roelon grins.

Sorlu says, "Excellent."

Talliver says, "This isn't a project I embarked on lightly, nor is the secrecy something I wanted."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "And this secrecy is why you funded the project yourself, though the coins were moved through Clovertooth Hall to throw off the trail?"

Sorlu cocks his head at Talliver.

Talliver nods at Sorlu.

Sorlu nods.

Sorlu praises, speaking to Talliver, "Well done."

Talliver says, "Even a whiff of this will incite Ta'Vaalor toward action. I still hold out hope that they can be made to see reason without escalation."

Roelon deeply says, "Those gnomes, useful as they are, are still seen as dangerous. We were given care over them.....ah suspect nae to misuse them. However..."

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Sorlu says, "Then it shall be quite the unpleasant surprise for them should things continue down the current path."

You concernedly ask, "And This isn't going to be used for offense, just the Defence of the Town and it's lands?"

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Talliver, "We must maintain some hope."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to you, "Mah voice would at least nae demand such at least and ah know yirs won' as well."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "It would be foolish for us to take an offensive approach towards the Nations. I imagine this would only be used to further protect our town."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "We don't have quite the army needed to conqueror them."

Sorlu chuckles.

You say, "Please Gentlemen the Mayor can speak for himself."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "I believe he might have stated as much, but of course."

Sorlu smiles politely.

Roelon slowly empties his lungs.

Roelon glances at a black leather chair with silver studding.

Roelon walks over to the chair and settles down.

Talliver nods.

Roelon nods to you.

Talliver says, "She will remain secreted in the Hinterwilds for now."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "As of now though, she is prepared to hunt if needed?"

You ask, speaking to Sorlu, "Hunt?"

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Defend...."

Roelon glances at Sorlu.

Sorlu smiles at Roelon.

Sorlu agrees, speaking to Roelon, "Defend."

Sorlu nods at Roelon.

Roelon whispers, "Sounded like Rammael fir ah momment..."

You quietly whisper to Roelon, "Uhhum."

Talliver says, speaking quietly to Sorlu, "We've conducted a few short trial flights. The gnomes are still working on refining the Wyrm."

Sorlu nods at Talliver.

Roelon nods slowly.

Roelon deeply says, "Then...those explodin' trees..."

Sorlu says, "I, for one, am quite happy to learn of this news. It more than makes up for the curiosity and anguish the mystery of your note forced us to endure."

You ask, "Talliver Sir what if you don't get to speak with the king?"

Roelon grins at Talliver.

Talliver says, speaking to Roelon, "There were no exploding trees."

Roelon deeply says, "Aye. Just the cold wind..."

Roelon nods slowly at Talliver.

Talliver says, "We were testing the cannons."

Sorlu grins at Talliver.

Roelon grins.

Roelon nods at Talliver.

You gasp.

Sorlu laughs, "Exploding trees. Quite the amusing lie."

You exclaim, "Those were some pretty powerful cannons!"

Sorlu grins at you.

Talliver says, "She's a tough little ship."

Roelon nods to you.

Roelon deeply says, "The ground itself seemed to tremble from them."

Sorlu asks, speaking to you, "A great weapon to protect us, don't you agree, Councillor?"

Sorlu nods at Roelon.

You say, speaking to Sorlu, "I am not disapointed."

Roelon asks, speaking deeply to Talliver, "Did ye secure another plinite source?"

Roelon furrows his brow.

Roelon deeply says, "Nae, don' tell me."

Roelon shakes his head.

Roelon nods at Sorlu.

Talliver says, speaking to Roelon, "She has half of the Firebird's plinite core."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Sounds much like our town. Small, aye, but tough."

Sorlu asks, "Will Hauptwhistle and Fiddlestix be piloting this ship?"

Talliver says, speaking to Sorlu, "No."

Sorlu agrees with Roelon.

Talliver says, "When we flew her at full power, she almost shook herself apart."

Roelon blinks.

You say, speaking to Talliver, "Goodness."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "Then who? Yourself...or is there another?"

Roelon ponders.

Talliver says, "I've been making some discreet inquiries. Right now, she has no captain."

Sorlu nods understandingly.

Sorlu says, "A small obstacle. I'm sure it will be overcome."

Roelon deeply says, "From the sounds of that ship....who ever ye find, needs to be quite insane....and trustworthy."

You say, "And small."

Roelon nods to you.

Roelon deeply asks, "Ah assume Ellerel has been helpin'?"

Talliver nods at Roelon.

Roelon nods once.

Talliver says, "The elves use many wards on their airships."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "Do you believe our cannons are strong enough to defeat those wards?"

Roelon closes his eyes for a moment.

Talliver says, "Ellerel has been helping to reinforce the hull and to enchant the ship's weaponry for greater effectiveness."

Roelon deeply says, "Ah dream of many thing. If they true or not.... Yir absense is very much understandable. But many were worried."

Talliver nods.

Talliver says, "I beg the Council's indulgence regarding my secrecy."

You say, "I wasn't worried. I figured ya was just busy."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Talliver, "But dinnae push yirself too far, is all ah ask. Less ye go beyond to where ye cannae return..."

Roelon furrows his brow. Sorlu says, speaking to Talliver, "It would seem to me your absence was well worth it, and has paid impressive dividends."

Roelon nods at Sorlu.

Sorlu says, speaking to Talliver, "A good investment of your time, Mayor Dabbings."

Sorlu nods at Talliver.

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Our town will be nae be seen as unablle to defend itself..."

You say, speaking to Roelon, "It is still only one."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to you, "One is all it takes to make many think twice..."

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "Indeed. Which means we need not take such a submissive posture with the Nations."

Sorlu agrees with Roelon.

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Submissive, perhaps nae. But we dinnae need to go full Grutak on them."

Roelon winks at Sorlu.

Sorlu laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement.

You say, "Becareful the illusion of strength... it can still be our downfall."

Gazing through the bay window

Roelon says, speaking deeply to you, "It is but one option, aye. But ah agree it is nae full proof."

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "You are correct. Grutak would go to the Nations himself and begin to battle. I fear that is a poor gamble."

Roelon deeply says, "Rammael has shown us nae matter how careful we are. There are ways."

Balling his hand into a tight fist, Roelon raises it defiantly skyward as a frosty, shimmering cloud surrounds his glove, and then quickly fades.

Talliver nods slowly.

Roelon deeply says, "Granted, he had powers beyond us to do what he did."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "And we have seen how dangerous the Claw can be, even as a solo hunter."

Sorlu nods to you.

Sorlu says, "We will protect our skies, and our people....as has always been the goal. This gives us much more ability to do so, and again, I could not be more pleased."

You say, speaking to Sorlu, "The Hunter is not solo."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Talliver, "Ah do hae ah concern. What will keep this from fallin' into the wrong hands? If the Ravager has any lessons fir us..."

Sorlu peers quizzically at you.

Talliver says, "Secrecy, first and foremost."

You say, speaking to Sorlu, "He has a cult behind him."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Roelon, "Keep it away from those with krol blood, perhaps?"

Sorlu chuckles.

Sorlu nods in agreement at Talliver.

Sorlu says, "This information must not leave this room, I agree."

Roelon nods once.

Sorlu smiles quietly to himself.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah would hope nae."

Roelon deeply says, "Icemule's safety, ourselves and the Mayor rest on this."

Talliver nods.

Sorlu nods at Roelon.

Talliver says, "Gespry must know."

Sorlu adopts an agreeable expression.

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Roelon says, speaking deeply to you, "When ye see him again..."

Roelon nods to you.

You nod.

Roelon deeply says, "Or if ah do first."

You say, "Okay fine but only him."

Sorlu starts chuckling at you!

Roelon chuckles.

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "He is due the information, of course. He is on the Council."

Sorlu grins at you.

You roll your eyes.

You say, "He should have been here."

You stick out your tongue.

Sorlu nods perfunctorily.

Roelon frowns.

Roelon nods to you.

Talliver nods.

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "Have you already sent the letter you spoke of writing to Qalinor?"

A holy aura radiates from your plumille houppelande.

Talliver says, "No."

Roelon deeply asks, "If it even reaches him. It has to go through all his handlers, nae?"

Roelon rubs his chin thoughtfully.

You ask, "How are you gong to get past the Chamberlain?"

Roelon grins at you.

You mutter something inaudible.

Sorlu says, speaking to Talliver, "Perhaps our new weapon will allow you to feel a bit more confident in adding some bite to that letter."

Sorlu grins slowly.

You roll your eyes at Sorlu.

You say, "That's begging for a fight."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Yir letter was bite enough."

Roelon smirks at Sorlu.

Sorlu chuckles to himself.

You say, speaking to Talliver, "Im just worried that that Chamberlain ... He's not the king.. and he's very strict about letting folks get to .. the king."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "Then should things move in the worst way, he will be responsible for whatever happens to tresspassing Vaalorians."

Sorlu nods to you.

Sorlu says, "If he chooses not to take Icemule's warning to the king...then that is his failing."

Sorlu shrugs slightly.

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Chamerlain would think he King, from the sound of all this."

Roelon snorts!

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "I've heard others echo such thoughts."

Sorlu nods at Roelon.

Roelon rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Talliver says, "He will hear Icemule's demands, one way or another."

Sorlu gazes fondly at Talliver.

Sorlu grins slowly.

Sorlu nods.

Sorlu says, "Indeed."

Roelon nods at Talliver.

You ask, "What are Icemules Demands exactly in your view Sir?"

Talliver says, "Ta'Vaalor must withdraw from our airspace promptly, and will be forbidden from crossing Icemule Trace's lands henceforth without explicit permission."

Sorlu nods approvingly.

Roelon deeply says, "He shoulld view it from our side. If the empire made similar moves with them.. how woud they react? Aye, Icemule is small, but nae with any less rights."

Roelon snorts!

Talliver says, "We cannot force them to end their trade relationship with Briarmoon Cove."

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Sorlu slowly empties his lungs.

Sorlu says, "That is sadly true...at least for now."

Talliver says, "Nor do we have the right to demand they withdraw from their fortress in the Dragonspine."

Roelon whispers, "The people of Vaalor, are good people. Dinnae get me wrong Opal. But their commandin' force make choices that dinnae make sense at times."

Sorlu says, "Though I think we can still come out ahead if things work out with the dwarves of Zul Logoth. We can make up the trade deficit. But still...it stings the pride that Vaalorian removed a trade partner from our table."

Sorlu mutters under his breath.

You ask, "Yesterday we were trying to get an understanding of what Exactly constituted Icemule Trace's lands. could you be clear on that?"

Talliver says, "I suspect that they will withdraw from both once it is clear we cannot be bullied."

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Sorlu smiles at Talliver.

Talliver says, speaking to you, "Our boundaries are unclear. No nation has claimed these lands. Therefore, they only encompass what we can enforce."

Roelon deeply says, "As we grew, perhaps, if we survive this bloody mess we are entangled with..."

You say, speaking to Talliver, "YOu may want to concider being clear before addressing the king, or he will use that against you."

Sorlu says, "We should not cede any land to the Vaalorians that is between here and the Hinterwilds."

Roelon deeply says, "It would be wise to put outposts and make firm this reach."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Talliver, "There is an old ruined tavern, halfway to Wehnimers along the trail. Ah thought would make ah nice outpost and restin' spot fir some."

Roelon shrugs.

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "I am not opposed to this idea."

Talliver nods.

You say, speaking to Roelon, "I too am not opposed if it is not contested by landing. They may see that as their lands. and then we'd be the ones encroaching."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "I don't know that the officials in the Landing see anything beyond their gates as theirs anymore."

Sorlu shakes his head, clucking his tongue.

You say, speaking to Sorlu, "Don't assume Sorlu. That's how you get into trouble."

Talliver says, "I trust I've satisfied your curiosity."

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "Or fun."

Sorlu winks at you.

You smirk at Sorlu.

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Talliver, "Ye put our mind at ease in way one, aye."

Sorlu says, speaking to Talliver, "Quite. And we appreciate it."

Roelon says, speaking deeply to you, "And should such an idea be agreeable, we would always speak to the Landin' counilors on their thoughts."

You say, speaking to Talliver, "Well the project yes... how to intend to deal with the king or chaimberlain. not at all."

You agree with Roelon.

Talliver nods.

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "Perhaps we can even discuss with Zul Logoth the import of materials to assist with your idea."

Sorlu nods at Roelon.

Roelon nods at Sorlu.

Roelon deeply says, "Construction materials. Perhaps Dwarven steel."

Roelon shrugs.

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "That might be far more useful to us than salt and grain."

Sorlu chuckles.

You take a bite of your pulled rolton tart. The varied textures of crunchy bacon and soft cheese play off one another and turn each bite into something more than its simple ingredients. You have 2 bites left.

You take a bite of your pulled rolton tart. The varied textures of crunchy bacon and soft cheese play off one another and turn each bite into something more than its simple ingredients. You have one bite left.

You take a bite of your pulled rolton tart. That was the last of it!

You take a drink from your white chocolate mocha. You have 3 quaffs left.

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "At this point, is there anything we can do to further assist you?"

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Talliver, "Let us hope we never hae to bare the wyrms fangs."

Talliver says, "Help ensure that we don't."

You adopt an agreeable expression.

Talliver nods at Roelon.

Sorlu smiles.

You take a drink from your white chocolate mocha. A bit of foam clings to your upper lip after you savor the rich mocha flavor.

You have 2 quaffs left.

Roelon nods once.

You take a drink from your white chocolate mocha. A bit of foam clings to your upper lip after you savor the rich mocha flavor. You have one quaff left.

You take a drink from your white chocolate mocha. Sweet chocolate and bitter coffee mingle deliciously. That was the last of it!

You glance down at your empty hands.

Talliver says, "I am going to return to the Hinterwilds."

Sorlu says, speaking to Talliver, "Do send your cousin our best."

Sorlu asks, speaking to Talliver, "Will you be returning anytime soon?"

Sorlu cocks his head at Talliver.

Talliver says, "I need some time to think of how to plead our case to Qalinor."

Talliver nods at Sorlu.

Talliver says, speaking to Sorlu, "It will not be long."

Sorlu nods at Talliver.

You say, speaking to Talliver, "Be safe and warm sir."

Sorlu agrees with you.

Roelon pours himself a tumbler of salted caramel whiskey.

Roelon stands up.

Talliver says, "You all as well."

Talliver stands up.

Roelon offers Talliver a tumbler of salted caramel whiskey.

Roelon nods at Talliver.

Sorlu says, speaking to Talliver, "Should you need us, we are only a message away."

Roelon deeply says, "Ye will need it."

Talliver accepts Roelon's salted caramel whiskey.

Sorlu nods at Talliver.

Talliver chuckles.

Talliver nods at Roelon.

Roelon grins.

Sorlu grins at Roelon.

Talliver just opened a riveted hoarbeam door.

Talliver just went through a riveted hoarbeam door.

Roelon slowly empties his lungs.

Sorlu glances at a riveted hoarbeam door.

You say, "I dunno My mail box is kinda full the penguins keep complainin about the lack of fish."

Sorlu flashes a wide grin.

Roelon walks over to the chair and settles down.

You roll your eyes.

Roelon deeply says, "Well then..."

Sorlu jokes, speaking playfully to you, "BOOM!"

Sorlu chuckles.

You release a tiny squeak of surprise!

That would accomplish nothing.

Roelon grins at Sorlu.

You say, "Meanie."

Sorlu grins at you.

Sorlu says, speaking to you, "I imagine the Vaalorians will be just as surprised when they hear it for the first time...but only much, much louder."

Roblar rubs his ring and fog billows from it in a thick cloud, quickly obscuring his form from sight. As the murk clears, you see Roblar is no longer there.

Sorlu hums a seemingly random tune.

You ask, "Hear what?"

Roelon says, speaking deeply to Sorlu, "Lets hope they never hae to."

Roelon deeply says, "But if it comes to it. The young, and innocent, our home must be protected."

Sorlu adopts an agreeable expression.

You nod at Roelon.

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "As always, you speak with great wisdom, Councillor."

Roelon stands up.

Roelon dusts off his black woolen kilt.

Roelon pours himself a glass of vivid green absinthe.

A holy aura radiates from your plumille houppelande.

You slowly and deliberately empty your filled lungs.

Sorlu rubs his chin thoughtfully.

Roelon takes a drink from his vivid green absinthe.

Roelon slowly empties his lungs.

You nod.

You stand back up.

You stare at an ancient rolaren knife with a carved horsebone hilt on an aged modwir board.

Sorlu says, "I have a few pieces of business to handle this evening still. Should either of you need me, send me a thought."

Roelon deeply says, "Much to mull over."

Sorlu smiles. >look knife The edge of the rolaren knife has been ground down by the years, but it still holds a hint of its former wicked edge. Despite the good metal of the blade, the knife is only of serviceable make and bears little ornamentation. Its horsebone hilt is inelegantly carved with a series of descending swirls.

Attached to the mounting board behind it is a small plaque that reads, "Stray, Dagger of Talbot Dabbings". A faint aura of holy light radiates from the knife.

Sorlu nods at Roelon.

You say, "Thank you Sorlu."

Sorlu says, speaking to Roelon, "So many pleasant things, for once."

Sorlu smiles at you.

Sorlu removes the hat from atop his head.

Sorlu bows to you.

Sorlu makes a grand, sweeping gesture with his Nalfein-styled cane.

Roelon bows to Sorlu.

Sorlu dons his suede hat.

Roelon hugs you, and you wrap him in a warm embrace.

Roelon takes a drink from his vivid green absinthe.

Sorlu bows to Roelon.

You hug Roelon, and he wraps you in a warm embrace in return.

You curtsy to Sorlu.

Roelon pulls the voluminous tartan-lined hood of his black leather duster over his head, preparing himself for the capricious elements of the outdoors.

You turn to face a large bay window.

Roelon takes a drink from his vivid green absinthe.

Roelon looks rather relaxed.

Roelon's eyes suddenly flash with a deep sanguine glow.

Roelon playfully flips the folds of his black woolen kilt.

You hear very soft footsteps.

You reach out and touch your eonake wedding band.

You casually toy with your eonake wedding band
