Twisted Gloves are scripted handwear UCS armaments that debuted at the February 2026 run of Duskruin, in the Bloodriven Village shop called Coalescence. They were created by GameMaster Marstreforn. They are similar to Twisted Weapons in functionality, but require their own unique unlocks.
Acid Edition, which is the first version of these armaments released, comes with acid flares and a +20 enchantment. They are exclusive to the Duskruin event.
Tier 1 (OTS)At tier 1 (as sold in the shop) these armaments have standard (Category B) flares.
The handwear also adds a line to the end of its LOOK description:
- Unworn: Thin, overlapping grooves cover each surface of the gloves.
- Worn: A haze of virescent fumes clings to the gloves, twisting and churning over their black alloy knuckles.

Merchants that are skilled with this type of handwear may customize the following:
* Parts: "black alloy knuckles"
* Effect: "virescent" (fumes)
** Glow: "green" (not unlocked)
*** Flares: "a twisted, prismatic spray of acid" (not unlocked)
Alterations:
Adding a SHOW description requires a rare merchant service to ensure congruency with other aspects.
Altering any other aspect of these gloves will force the SHOW description to be removed by the merchant.
Long descriptions must follow the format described below.
Long Descriptions:
* Default: "some twisted virid snakeskin gloves"
- The default description may have extra details or may be the same as the base description.
- The "Parts" customization is not incorporated into this description.
** Mundane: "some twisted virid snakeskin gloves fitted with black alloy knuckles"
- Requires Twisted Moves. (not unlocked)
- The alternate mundane description must incorporate the "Parts" customization after the noun.
** Magical: "some scintillating virid snakeskin gloves fitted with black alloy knuckles"
- Requires Twisted Moves. (not unlocked)
- The magical description must make the gloves "scintillating" instead of or in addition to its article.
Unlocks:
** Twisted Moves (customizable): NOT UNLOCKED
- TURN to cycle through long descriptions while worn. Removing the gloves sets them to Default.
*** Twisted Flares (offensive - acid): NOT UNLOCKED
- Chance for extra flares when you jab, punch, grapple, or strike with a maneuver that utilizes gloves.
- Must be set to the Mundane or Magical description for these flares to activate.
- These flares damage the target twice when they hit.
**** Twisted Potency (POINT - acid): NOT UNLOCKED
- Maneuver ability that deals damage equivalent to Twisted Flares if it hits.
- Weakened Armament is applied to the target's armor/body after damage.
- Twisted Potency has a 3 minute cooldown.Usage

Tier 2 - Twisted MovesAt tier 2, the handwear gains additional "fluff" verbs and access to the "Mundane" and "Magical" long descriptions when worn and using TURN.
Removing the handwear returns it to the "Default" description.
While worn and in "Magical" mode, the added line to its LOOK description changes:

Tier 3 - Twisted FlaresAt tier 3, the handwear gains offensive (Category D) flares when used to JAB/PUNCH/GRAPPLE (UCS), or using a maneuver ability that utilizes gloves.
These flares damage the target twice.
Tier 4 - Twisted PotencyAt tier 4, the handwear gains an SMRv2 ability by using POINT.
Usage: POINT <my> gloves [AT {target}]
This ability deals damage equal to Twisted Flares and applies the Weakened Armament debuff to the target's armor/body for 30 seconds.
There is a 3 minute cooldown to use Twisted Potency from a pair of Twisted Gloves.
While worn and in "Magical" mode, the added line to its LOOK description changes based on how soon POINT can be activated again:
The virid snakeskin gloves are surrounded by a vibrant, scintillating green glow.
Tier 5 - Potency BoostThis is the final tier that can be unlocked on Twisted Gloves.
Twisted Flares now apply the Weakened Armament debuff to the target's armor/body for 30 seconds after dealing damage.
Additionally, Twisted Flares (and the POINT ability) have a 20% chance to damage the target a third time.
The POINT maneuver ability gains a bonus based on level.
