Image at Risk for Deletion
Hello, SCHADENFREUDE. You recently uploaded an image to the wiki, File:Arelder.webp, that is missing some information required by Gswiki:Policy. You noted that the image was created "by PC" but otherwise don't identify who that person is. As "PC" could mean multiple things, including the initials of a name, this is not clear enough to fully satisfy Gswiki:Policy. Your image is missing the following information:
- Was permission granted by the artist to upload it?
- If AI imaging software was used to create it, what is the name of that software?
- If AI imaging software was used to create it, [[Category:AI artwork]] must be in the image description for inclusion in Category:AI artwork.
Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about the image policy and its requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. This information needs to be on the images as well as on all articles using them. In addition, all images using AI software in their creation are required to be included in Category:AI artwork. To add that text to the image file, you will need to click on "Edit Source" on the image file itself and add all of the required information. All articles using this image will also need to have their captions updated to include this required information.
If that information is not added within 7 days, this image will be deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from the image. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:03, 7 January 2025 (CST)
- Hello again, SCHADENFREUDE. Thank you very much for adding most of the required information outlined in Gswiki:Policy for File:Arelder.webp. I wanted to follow up with you on two things. First, you were still missing some of the needed information in locations required, so I have adjusted the image and the article featuring it to comply with Policy. As a reminder, copyright information must be clearly stated on the image file and as a caption for all articles featuring it. A caption appearing on just on the image file is not sufficient if it is featured anywhere else on the wiki. In addition, any AI-generated images must be included in Category:AI artwork. This is done by typing [[Category:AI artwork]] as part of the image's text description. I have already made adjustments to the image file and article featuring them on your behalf, so no action needs to be taken by you this time. If you would like to see how that is done, you can click on "Edit Source" on the image file to see it. Please be aware that any future images that do not include all required information on both the image file and all articles featuring them will be flagged.
- Second, I noticed that you uploaded a second duplicate image, which also had most (but not all) information required by Gswiki:Policy. It also did not have the AI artwork category, so I have added it on your behalf, too. However, there should only be one version of the same image on the wiki. The two files you uploaded are File:Arelder.webp (original, which is featured on Arelder (prime)) and File:Arelder2.jpg (second image uploaded, which is a larger file size but otherwise appears to be identical). Please let me know which of the two duplicate image files you want to keep and which you want to be deleted from the wiki. You can respond either here or on my user talk page by editing the page and adding your comment, followed by ~~~~ to automatically insert a "signature". If you do not respond within 7 days, I will delete the image file that is not featured on any articles. Thank you again for your help with these images on the wiki.
