LIGHT is a mechanical verb. It is used to bring flame to items that may be lit. Itmes such as candles, torches, lanterns, or sconces may be lit, both those handheld or in a room.

Usage

Light item:

You light your silver lantern, causing the wick to ignite into a small flame.
