The scrimshaw Knife is a fluff crafting script that applies to weapon items. It was originally released at Ebon Gate 2024. It carves bones, horns, antlers, tusks, and teeth into Weaveable Items. Unlocks add beads, hairsticks, Lock Mastery clasps, creature harvesting, and design templates.
Analyze
You analyze the steel knife and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
-- Scrimshaw Knife--
This steel knife lets you take bones, antlers, horns, fangs, and teeth and turn them into Weaveable Items. You can carve designs into them as well.
If unlocked, it can also let you harvest bones, claws/talons, antlers/horns, and hooves from certain creatures. The resulting items can either be Weaveable or skins that can be used in sheath-making.
==Alteration Guidelines==
* Alterations to the 15/15/15, long and/or show of this steel knife are fine. It needs to follow dagger-base alteration guidelines.
* Custom Weaveable Item slots are meant for the adjective of the created item. They cannot be longer than 15 characters and should describe how the item is designed, such as a shape, a pattern, a carving style, or the like. It should feasibly be something that a knife should be able to do to bone (so no colors).
* Custom Weaveable Bead slots are meant to affect the article (first 15) of the created beads. They cannot be longer than 15 characters and must include a or an. This should be something feasible you could affect on the beads with a knife, such as a shape, a pattern, a texture, etc., but no colors.
* Custom Hairstick slots require the full long description for the hairsticks. The 15/15/15 of the created hairsticks is always going to be 'a pair of <material> hairsticks' and the custom should not contradict this. You are able to include placeholders for: hairstick material and the full name of the bone used to make the hairsticks.
* Custom Lock Mastery clasp slots expect to be provided the noun of the created clasp. They cannot be longer than 15 characters and should feasibly be something you can clasp a container with. Only the noun should be provided - no material or color.
==Features==
This steel knife has access to the following verbs: WAVE (target a creature or object to use its likeness in designs), CARVE (carve/transform the item in your other hand), TURN (change the design of the item created through CARVE), SPIN (change what type of item CARVE turns things into), POKE (turn a claw/talon/hoof skin into a Weaveable object), FLIP (change article of Weaveable Item or Lock Mastery clasp), POINT (target a dead creature for potential deboning), TWIST (change targeted bone), CUT (remove bone from targeted creature), CLENCH (switch between getting a Weavable bone or a skin-type bone).
You can INSPECT the knife to get some information on how the next item created by CARVE will potentially appear.

Additionally, you can GAZE at the knife to view any custom settings you have applied.
