Pup Tents are portable items that players can set up in outdoor, outside of town rooms. There are two tiers.
Tents will collapse after 20 minutes of the owner not being inside. Guests will be tossed out if the tent collapses. The owner has five minutes to fold up the tent before the janitor will clean it up. Tents and items left on the ground in tents are subject to normal game mechanics and will not be returned if lost.
These rooms should not be considered private for vulgarity or OOC reasons.
Tier 1First tier tents hold 2 people only, including the owner. Tents are not critter proof; you may not STAND your tent while enemies are present, and if a creature enters while the tent is standing, the tent will collapse and knock you, your guest, and your stuff out.AnalyzeThis is a standard tent and will be knocked down by hostile creatures. The owner may have one guest. This is a canvas tent. It must remain a canvas tent. You can have a long description only for the standing version of the tent as long as the description includes "canvas tent." The interior of the tent may be changed by some merchants, but remember that we're roughing it. No frilly silky pillows! This is camping! Exterior: a canvas tent Interior: [Vanah's Tent] The interior of the tent is pretty sparse. A faint mildewy smell permeates the air. Bits of sand and dirt are scattered across the floor. You can STAND the tent to pitch it, and FOLD it to take it down. You can also CLEAN, LEAN, or KNOCK on the tent. This tent can be lightened by one pound until it reaches five pounds.
Tier 2Large tents won via raffle or auction are exempt from creature rules and can be pitched with critters present, and will not collapse when critters are present. The capacity of these large tents is 4 people.AnalyzeThis tent is an auction-quality tent. It will withstand knockdown by creatures and can hold three guests. This is a canvas tent. It must remain a canvas tent. You can have a long description only for the standing version of the tent as long as the description includes "canvas tent." The interior of the tent may be changed by some merchants, but remember that we're roughing it. No frilly silky pillows! This is camping! Exterior: a canvas tent Interior: [Weather's Reprieve] The interior walls reflect the soft rose glow of the hanging antique bronze and stained glass candle lanterns. The delicate scent of wild roses permeates the air. Thick, rose vine-patterned carpets cover the floor, and large, luxurious ivory silk pillows are scattered about for comfortable resting. A small, folding table holding paper, a quill, and an inkwell, is placed to one side, a soft rose throw and a pair of fluffy deep rose slippers tucked beneath it. You can STAND the tent to pitch it, and FOLD it to take it down. You can also CLEAN, LEAN, or KNOCK on the tent. This tent can be lightened by one pound until it reaches five pounds.
