Ephemeral soul shard is a currency that was introduced at the 2022 Ebon Gate Festival at Evermore Hollow. It replaced the Ebon Gate seashell (EGS) and all existing EGS were converted to soul shards. Soul shards work like other alternate currencies in that they must be REDEEMed in order to use.

Soul shards are the only currency that features a LOOK description to them.

The soul shard barely appears solid, thin and wedge shaped, and its surface shifts colors through those of the rainbow beneath the thin veneer of an iridescent haze.
