The Crab's Abs Shell premiered at the Tideswept Bazaar during the Premium Festival 2025 in the shop Moonbloom and Coralthorn. This is a perfume creation item utilizing the Life Aquatic Sea Critter System and specifically works for crabs. OTS Tangled and Tethered Bags come OTS with six verbs. Analyze The Crab's Abs This tiny magic shell can house a crab that will make small doses of perfume for you. To Add a Crab: Obtain any gemstone crab from the Life Aquatic system and PUSH it into the shell. To Create a Perfume: 1. With a crab installed, WAVE your shell at a piece of foraged leaf or leaves. 2. With a crab installed, WAVE your shell at a foraged wood or grass. 3. TURN your shell to obtain the starting notes of your perfume. Additional Information: RUB will put the perfume on you once it is created, SMELL will give you a preview of the perfume, CLEAN will remove the perfume from your shell, PULL removes the current crab so it can be replaced, while SMOOCH and TICKLE are fluff verbs for when a crab is inside. Some final Notes: This shell is a magical item. You can hold it or wear it to work with it. It creates 4 doses of perfume each time you work with the crab inside. Alteration Guidelines: You may alter the shell, but it can only take a base or long description change. The SHOW is stock. Please make sure that you are not contradicting the stock show when coming up with your design. Additional Information A Crab's Abs shell has a hard-coded LOOK/SHOW description, which features the crab inserted. Because of this, it can only support long description alterations. Without Crab Carved in a delicate spiral and worn smooth from years of travel along the ocean floor, the tiny shell bears fine striations along its curve. A faint sheen clings to its surface, as if touched by lingering magic. Though warm to the touch, it sits still and hollow, its quiet interior giving no sign of life. Soft traces of salt and crushed leaf scent cling to the edges, but the occupant is gone. With Crab Tucked deep within the shell, a furry-legged white yeti crab rests in stillness, its legs curled tight and its eyestalks withdrawn from view. Making Perfume When using PUSH to insert a crab, the sea critter must be in the right hand, and it must be a gemstone version of a Life Aquatic sea critter. The perfume-creating process consumes the crab gemstone. Upon the last dose being used, the vial clears out all of its data except for the bee, which will persist unless it is manually removed/destroyed. Foraged leaves, grass, and wood are the only items that can be added. The perfume-creating process does not consume the leaf, grass, or wood. Leaves determine the first notes of the created perfume, which can have their phrasing cycled between set options via TURN. Woods and grasses determine the finishing notes. Different types of woods and grasses have their own unique scents when turned into perfume, which are specific to the wood or grass type foraged. Each combination creates 4 doses of perfume. The perfume is stored in the vial and cannot be extracted to share. Perfume lasts for the standard 4 hours. The order of operations does not matter. You can WAVE {LEAF/LEAVES}, WAVE {GRASS or WOOD}, or TURN in any order. However, you must have a leaf and grass/wood installed in order to RUB and apply the perfume. TURN works at any point on the vial. If you apply the perfume, decide you want a different opening note, then you can TURN again and reapply. It will shift the first notes sentence, but not the leaf or wood/grass. Perfume made by the vial can not be poured onto paper. The perfume is not drinkable. First Note Options The perfume's first note phrase can be cycled between the following options via TURN: Coconut cream blends with crushed seashells and warm sand, casting a soft coastal sweetness across your skin that is brightened by {leaf/leaves}. Sun-bloated papaya and soured coconut seep from your skin with a skin-slick sweetness, bloated by beeswax gone rancid and softened by mildew-laced amber and the ghost of {leaf/leaves}.
