Able to easily reach him, you place a fur-handled maple gadget near the tip of the reindeer's left ear, and the gadget automatically extends far enough to clamp onto the ear apex and make some lightning-fast incisions. When you realize what has happened, the procedure is complete and he now has a heart-shaped mark at the tip of his left ear. |

Ear Notching Gadgets can be used to permanently modify the ears of a deer mount. They are sold at Notcher Style at Rumor Woods. OTS/Tier 1The base function of an Ear Notching Gadget allows the style of notch to be applied to the left or right ear of the deer mount.AnalyzeYou analyze the ebony gadget and sense that the creator has provided the following information: This ebony gadget will issue an identifying marking on your cervidae's ear. (A mount can only have one of these markings, but you can overwrite existing ones.) Alterations are okay as long as the item remains an obvious tool AND consideration is made regarding the hard coded look. At Tier 1, the tool defaults to "notch" (style) and "shaped" (type). At Tier 2, you can change the "type". At Tier 3 you can change the "style". All tiers are able to toggle between placement of right/left ear. Use of this tool is a permanent change. (Example: ...he has an elongated face and small ears [with a star-shaped notch at the tip of his right ear].) Current settings will create: a music note-carved design USAGE: Point: Use gadget on mount's ear Pull: Change to right/left ear Push: Change default "type" of "-shaped" [Note: Only available at Tier 2.] Turn: Change default "style" of "notch" [Note: Only available at Tier 3.] You get no sense of whether or not the gadget may be further lightened. Usage
Tier 2With the first unlock, the type of shape applied can be changed.Usage
Tier 3With the second unlock, the style of notch can be changed.Usage
Additional InformationHard-Coded DescriptionEar Notching Gadgets have a hard-coded look description: At one end of the ebony gadget is a small button situated within a gear-like dial, and a sharp utensil at the opposite end is shaped like a music note and flipped to the right. There is a spring closure in the middle that allows one to extend the tool, but the spring causes it to recoil to its original size. See Also |
