Journey's End

Journey's End is a private property located on Triton Road in Solhaven.

The property was moved from Ta'Illistim in November of 2025.

It is a highly customized version of Evelise's Retreat, created by GM Valyrka and won by Alastir at Prime's Great Auction of 2016.

Rent was 75,000 silvers before the property was made permanent through Summit Academy. It includes a node, dart board, hammock and custom foraged item prop.

Stopping at the base of the Vornavian cliffs, the road ends in a small cobblestone cul-de-sac lined in thrakwood trees. A path lined with crystal lamps winds its way through a front lawn filled with garden beds that are overflowing with flowers as it makes its way to an elegant stone cottage. On the opposite side of the crescent, an ornate mistwood gate offers entry to the grounds of an alabaster stone manor.

An ornate silver mistwood gate crowned with a scrollwork lattice is set into the low greystone wall, providing a partial view of the lush green lawn and alabaster stone manor beyond. The fittings of the gate are crafted from crimson eahnor and shaped as miniature rose blossoms, their vivid hue contrasting with the backdrop of pallid wood.

[Journey's End, Lawn]
Surrounded by a low greystone wall, a rolling green lawn spreads out before a beautiful alabaster stone manor. Both elegant and charming, the building's design synthesizes the beauty of the landscape. A cobbled walkway separates a cherry grove and blossoming beds of colorful flowers.

Pale grey stones have been worked together creating a wall that surrounds the manor's property. An ornate mistwood gate gives access to the city streets. Flowing rose bushes climb over the surface at various points, their full blossoms the perfect accent.

Smooth alabaster stone forms the outer walls of this charming manor. A slanted roof crafted entirely from porcelain shingles gently slopes over beautiful oriel windows. The cobbled walkway leads up to a carved beechwood door.

Planted in neat rows, each of the trees in the grove are in various states of blossom. Ranging from deep to pale pink to white, the blossoms display a beautiful array of vibrant colors. Many of the tree's wide boughs dip low over the lawn, heavily laden with clusters of ripe, dark red cherries.

Retrieving your silver key from your person, you unlock and open a carved beechwood door.

You pull a carved beechwood door closed behind you and lock it, then tuck your key back into its place.

Current [Journey's End, Foyer] Covered with stone tiles, the floor of the entryway is a colorful mosaic depicting a rose pattern. A mirrored coat rack stands next to a carved beechwood door, a reflection of the room echoed in the smooth glass. Suspended from a silver chain, a large candelabra hangs above, illuminating the area. Obvious paths: north, west >look rack Crafted from silvery mistwood and carved with a beautiful rose and vine pattern, the rack is a lovely piece of furniture. A row of wooden pegs is placed above a tall mirror, perfect for hanging coats or hats. Future Renovation [Journey's End, Atrium] The manor opens up into a large circular chamber with a high glass dome ceiling. A young glowbark tree rises up from the center of the room, its branches bathed in sunlight from above. Various oil-painted portraits are displayed around the room, broken up only by an imposing ironwood door. A mistwood coat rack and a small entry table stand guard next to the door, while a wide spiral staircase ascends to the second floor. [Journey's End, Study]
Small and cozy, the intimate study is lined with bookcases and shelves filled with various books and volumes. A small basket of sticks rests next to a large stone fireplace adorned with a thick oak mantle. Tucked into a corner is a mistwood writing desk, its surface cluttered with various inkwells, parchments, and quills with a cushioned mistwood chair placed in front. A large dart board hangs over an oak dartboard rack, which sits caddy-corner to a small tiled bar covered with a varied selection of food and drink. You also see a mistwood storage locker secured with a large padlock.

Leather-bound books fill every nook and space of the shelves that line the study. Titles like "Roltons and Rangers" and "How to Skin a Troll" jump out from among the volumes.

You see a neatly laid-out pile of wood and tinder awaiting only the application of flame to come to life. Nearby is a basket of sticks ready to be used to light the fire or to keep it burning.

A handsome elven houseboy in silver-on-sapphire livery arrives, carrying several bottles on a silver tray. Moving next to the bar, he refills the various beverages before withdrawing. 
An elven page boy dressed in silver-on-sapphire livery removes a disorganized heap of wax-sealed parchments from the writing desk and hurries off with the parchments held firmly in hand.
A handsome elven houseboy tidies the room, dusting the bookcases and shelves with a fluffy feather duster.  He gives the bar a quick polish with a rag pulled from his pocket, then exits.

Several cushioned chairs are placed around a small mistwood table, creating an intimate setting. A small porcelain stove sits in the corner, a basket of supplies open beside it. A sideboard decorates the east wall, atop it sits a small ceramic pot filled with thick greenery, its long tendrils of leaves creeping down the side.

A handsome elven houseboy attired in ivory-on-sapphire livery arrives carrying supplies on a silver tray.  Moving next to the sideboard, he restocks the food and beverages before withdrawing.

NIGHT
A series of loud hoots can be heard outside on the patio as a greater elf owl calls out in the night.
Through the sliding glass door you watch as a group of starflies dance in the darkness, rapidly blinking in and out.
Soft moonlight illuminates the view of the garden through the sliding glass door, bathing the water of a silvery grey stone fountain in a pale luminescence.

BOTH
A tawny spotted ocelot pauses outside on the patio to gaze longingly through the sliding glass door before scrambling off.
From the foyer comes the sound of little romping paws, accompanied by excited trilling mews.  An exceedingly fluffy black kitten saunters in proudly, a plumed quill in his mouth.

[Journey's End, Patio]
The enclosed garden is ringed by pale granite pillars supporting the gently sloping slate roof. Across the way, a pale beechwood door leads to another portion of the manor. A narrow bed of white gravel surrounds a silvery grey stone fountain which centers the garden. Mixed with shades from viridian to sage, dense layers of moss cover the ground leading to a massive willow. A woven silk hammock is stretched between two glowbark posts that are covered with climbing white roses. You also see a sliding glass door.

Crafted from a beautiful silvery grey stone, the large fountain is formed in a circular shape. A large peacock stands in the center, its beautifully fanned tail caught in perfect detail by the craftsman. Several small fish swim about the bottom of the pool.

Towering over the garden, this massive willow stretches far into the sky. Attached to the trunk is a polished wooden ladder. Looking up, a large platform seems to grow out from the tree.

The silk hammock is not currently occupied.

A sudden shimmer of golden light within the waters of the fountain catches your attention.  Gazing within, you see several small fish swimming around peacefully.
A brightly colored jewel beetle flutters through the garden, alighting on an alabaster rose.  Briefly stilled, it stretches its wings before taking to the air once more.

A series of loud hoots can be heard as a greater elf owl calls out in the night.
Scattered constellations of stars are visible in the night sky above, twinkling throughout the vast spread of darkness.
A pale white moon moth flutters through the moonlit garden, drifting in languid curves before disappearing into the night.

The velvety perfume of roses lingers in the air of the garden, wafting from the climbing vines blooming along the posts of the hammock.

To the east, a pair of bridges, one light and one dark, hover in the air above the city, creating visual markers that lead directly to the Sapphire Gate far below. NIGHT
A canopy of stars twinkles above illuminating the platform.
A pair of crickets sing happily, their songs echoing through the night.
Rustling slightly in the breeze, the trees add a soft accompaniment to the evening.
Rapidly blinking in and out, starflies flit through the darkness, illuminating their dance.
With a sudden flash, a lone star shoots across the night sky before trailing off into nothing.
A greater elf owl gives a short, "whoo, whoo", as it takes flight and disappears into the night.

BOTH
The sounds of the city are nearly suppressed from this distance above the town, but the tromping of boots from a patrolling Sapphire Guard is carried to your ears upon the wind.

Earthnode

[Journey's End, Lounge]
This expansive lounge feels vast, furnished with deep leather couches paired with mahogany side tables. Tall curtained windows along the northern wall soften any light that spills in. A long driftwood bar spans the space in front of the windows. The eastern wall is claimed by a massive stone fireplace crowned by a thick mantle, while on the opposite wall a dark mahogany double door opens into an adjoining bedchamber. Polished hardwood floors complement raised-panel wainscoting covering the walls. You also see a gently curved stone staircase.

Deeply cushioned leather couches bear the quiet marks of long use, their surfaces softened and creased from years of comfort rather than neglect. The dark leather has been carefully maintained, its patina enriched by age, while subtle stitching traces the broad arms and backs. The couches invite repose, offering a sense of warmth and familiarity within the refined space.

Tall windows rise along the northern wall, draped in layered curtains of finely weighted fabric that temper the light entering the room. When parted, the curtains allow a softened glow to spill inward, filtered and subdued, lending warmth without glare. The materials show careful selection, blending function with quiet luxury.

Spanning the space in front of the windows, the bar is fashioned from a colossal driftwood trunk, halved and precisely cut to bar height. The top is wrapped in dark, finely worked leather, its edge cleanly bound. Shelving within the bar holds space for bottles and glassware, arranged with deliberate order. The bar's placement keeps it accessible while preserving the lounge's refined atmosphere.

Dominating the eastern wall, the stone fireplace spans an impressive width, its broad hearth framed by carefully fitted blocks worn smooth by time and heat. A thick mantle crowns the structure, intricately carved and sized to match the fireplace's grand scale. Above it hangs a richly woven tapestry encircled by a slowly-turning ring of arcane sigils that releases writhing tendrils of mana, suffusing the room with magical power as the luminous strands dissipate into the air.

Not a single flicker of flame remains in the fireplace. Cold, scattered ashes and tiny bits of unburned wood lay strewn about within the fireplace.

This richly woven tapestry depicts the ancient tale of Ghezresh, once a tempestuous spirit born of fire beneath the sea's surface. A swirling chorus of silver-indigo anguillid forms coils about a central fire-touched figure. Brilliant threads of crimson, silver and indigo intertwine, evoking flame and abyss in a scene of primal struggle and transformation. The artistry is fine and meticulously detailed, every weave lending depth to the legend.

Carved from a single expanse of dark mahogany, the mantle projects boldly from the stonework, its thickness and width giving it an architectural presence of its own. Subtle detailing traces the edges, the craftsmanship precise and deliberate.

Rising nearly from floor to ceiling, the dark mahogany double doors are masterfully crafted and flawlessly finished, their wide panels worked with delicate, symmetrical carving. Carefully fitted metalwork accents the design without distraction. When closed, they stand as a dignified boundary, their weight and finish befitting the private chamber beyond.

The staircase curves downward in a wide, flowing arc, its pale stone steps broad and evenly set as they descend toward the room below. A carved stone balustrade borders the landing before giving way to a slender metal railing that follows the stair's curve below, preserving an open view into the space beneath.

A massive canopy bed dominates the bedchamber, draped with alabaster gauze, its luxurious silk spread is a sapphire blue embroidered with a silver jacquard pattern. Covering the floor is a thick shag rug woven with various shades of ivory and fitted into a deep recess on the far wall is a wide mistwood dresser. Suspended from a silver chain is a beautiful crystal lamp, its surface etched with blooming roses. You also see a tall mistwood wardrobe, a dark mahogany double door and a stone archway.

NIGHT

[Journey's End, Bedchamber]

Standing center in the room, this huge canopy bed is carved with a climbing rose pattern. A luxurious silk comforter of sapphire blue embroidered with a silver jacquard pattern covers the thick mattress. Swathes of sheer alabaster gauze wind about the posters and drape the bed in a translucent veil.

Fitting perfectly into the recessed nook, the surface of the elaborately carved dresser is polished to a gleaming shine. Brushed silver handles are fashioned into intricate roses. Worked into each drawer are a vine and blossom pattern that climbs about the beautiful piece of art.

Pale panels of mistwood comprise the body of the wardrobe, the doors carved in curtains of silver-petaled roses woven between filigree-like vines. The handles have been crafted from sapphire-inset ivory, the gemstones subtly covered in a blossom-motif complementing the arched doors. Claw-footed legs of sterling silver brace the framework of the wardrobe, each one stylized in the form of spiraled leaves reaching up to encase the furniture.

The stone archway rises in a series of nested, pointed curves, each receding layer adding depth and intricacy to the passage. The geometry is precise and balanced, creating a sense of depth that softens the boundary between the bedchamber and the sanctum.
