Vanne fans are heavily scripted items that have a slot to hold a dagger and can be worn on the wrist when not in use. They are popular amongst those in higher social circles, especially Nalfein elves. They have demeanor-based messaging. Some messaging varies even further depending on if a dagger is present or not. They were originally released with no tiers but later updated, with existing verbs broken down into two tiers for locked and unlocked status.

Tier 1/Locked

Off the shelf, vans come with five verbs, all of which have demeanor-based messaging.

Analyze

You analyze the lace fan and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "The item has restrictions on changing the noun."

The creator has also provided the following information:
 You sense that any merchant may alter this fan, though it must remain a "fan," and alterations must make sense for wrist-worn items.

Currently, you are able to OPEN, CLOSE, WAVE, WEAR, and REMOVE the fan.  Your demeanor in some of these actions may make a difference.  This fan may only be  unlocked further by a very small handful of skilled merchants.

You can tell that the fan is as light as it can get, but you might be able to have a talented merchant deepen its pockets for you.
