Feynras is a sorcerer hailing from Ta'Illistim and a member of the noble Avelleur family, albeit a far-flung branch of the family tree. Afflicted with debilitating illness at a young age that left him weak and ensured he stayed sequestered at home, he took a great interest in books but especially the histories of Elanith. Spending his days poring over tomes, he came to lament how much history was lost or often relied on biased accounts from noncontemporary scholars. “If only I could travel back in time to speak with such figures myself,” he would often think. And then another idea came to him: what if he could speak to these long-dead people himself?

And so like many in his family tend to do, he threw himself into the magical arts of sorcery. Curiously, over time the study seemed to revitalize the sickly youngling. Whether the illness had simply run its course or the sense of purpose gave him the strength of will necessary to overcome it, none could say. Feynras, for his part, is decidedly silent on the subject. Focused on the study of necromancy, he hopes to attain such mastery over souls that he might consult the sages and scholars, kings and queens, warlords and mages of the past on most any subject. Tombs would become his personal libraries, and the secrets of their inhabitants would be his to keep.

In the course of his study, he learned sorcerous spells that would aid him in battle - after all, trafficking with such forces is a dangerous practice and he must know how to defend himself. More recently, he joined a secret society whom he believes might hold the keys to some of the power he is searching for. Rumors abound regarding another faction who may yet provide another route to mastery of the dead, and Feynras means to seek them out at earliest opportunity.

He is average height. He appears to be fully in stride with young adulthood. He has pupilless scarlet eyes and fair skin. He has nape-length, wavy silver hair. He has an angular face, a sloping nose and high cheekbones.

He is in good shape.

He is wearing a black rapture cloak, a toggle-fastened dark leather pourpoint embellished in gold scrollwork with an immaculate ruff-collared shirt underneath, a wide brushed vaalin band, some dark raw silk hosen with braided leather ties, and some low ebon leather boots with folded square-dagged cuffs.
