The Bloodletting Leech Jar is a fluff feature altering script that applies to accessory and miscellaneous items. It was originally released at Ebon Gate 2019 by Deloras. It can temporarily alter a character's unique feature line. The following facets are able to be customized by a merchant: material, lid, wrapping, leeches and leeches per day. It is a belt-worn jar that produces temporary leeches. The leeches can be attached to yourself or another player to draw blood, then popped once engorged.

You analyze your glass jar and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

~Alterations~
  The 15/15/15 and long description of this jar can be changed freely.  A show is not possible.
  Please keep in mind that the noun can change, but should be something feasible to have a lid and be made of glass (jar, bottle, etc.)
  Special merchants can improve your jar in the following ways:
    * Add more potential leech designs that can be PULLed. (Premade)
    * Add a completely custom leech design that can be PULLed.
    * Increase the amount of leeches able to be PULLed daily to a max of 3.

~Customization~
  * Material Color and Type: transparent glass
    Note: materials can only be glass, crystal or glaes.
    Description of the color should not make it seem completely opaque, as messaging indicates being able to see the liquid inside.
    NOTE: If using glaes, do NOT make it transparent.  It should be colored like stained glass.
  * Lid: lid
    Note: this should be a 'lid' or 'top' of some sort.
  * Wrapping Material: twine
    This is the interwoven netting wrapping/encasing the jar.

Leech

You analyze your purple leech and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
~Bloodletting Leech~

  This is a leech that is meant to perform bloodletting on yourself or other players.
  *NOTE* This leech is temporary and will wither after 24 hours outside of its jar.
  To attach it to yourself or other players, POINT the leech at yourself or others.  (Syntax: POINT leech AT <player> OR POINT leech AT Vanah)
  Other players will have to APPROVE this action.
  Once attached, the leech will drain blood for a few minutes before detaching and falling to the ground.
  You may REMOVE the leech prematurely, but this will destroy the leech.
  You can also try to PINCH the leech or EAT it, if you even want to try.

Usage Information

The examples below use a squat glass jar with the default settings shown in the analyze above, and a lithe purple leech. Customized settings change the matching parts of the messaging.

Additional Information

• The jar must be worn on the belt to PULL a leech, and you need a free hand.
• Off the shelf, a jar has 3 random premade leech designs and produces 1 leech per day. The daily count resets 24 hours after the first leech of the day is pulled.
• Leeches wither 24 hours after being pulled unless they are attached to someone.
• A leech attaches to the wrist. If gloves are worn it attaches to the neck, and if something is also worn on the neck it attaches to the forehead. A worn mask blocks the forehead.
• After a failed or declined attempt to attach a leech to someone, you must wait a minute before trying again.
• Only one leech can be attached to a person at a time.

Unlocks

Certificates (or willing merchants) can improve a jar:

• Increase the number of leeches that can be pulled per day, up to 3.
• Add a premade leech design. TURN the certificate to change which design it will add.
• Custom leech designs can be added by a merchant.

Temporary Feature Lines

While a leech is attached, a line is added after the unique feature field:

Popping an engorged leech with EAT or PINCH adds a bloody line for 10 minutes, along with a fresh blood scent. Characters with a beard get a beard version instead.

When it wears off:

1P: You wipe away the remaining blood from your face with your hand.  Ever hear of a handkerchief?

• The noun should be something made of glass with a lid, such as a jar or bottle.
• The material can only be glass, crystal, or glaes, and should not be opaque. Glaes should be colored like stained glass rather than transparent.

Look/Show

The jar has a hard-coded show. The bolded portions can be customized.

Constructed of thick <color> <material>, this jar is well made and sturdy.  A <lid> secures the top, while a webbing of interlaced <wrapping> wraps around the sides and bottom to secure it into a belt loop.  Murky liquid of an indeterminate color fills the jar, making it difficult to see exact details of what's inside.
