The Rift is a magical location -- a tear in dimensional space that is designed to contain the Vvrael. Creatures found in The Rift include the aivren, caedera, csetairi, lost souls, naisirc, n'ecare, raving lunatics, seraceris, vaespilon, Vvrael warlocks and Vvrael witches. There are five planes inside The Rift, the first one containing the weakest of creatures (raving lunatics, csetairi, naisircs) and the last containing the most powerful (lost souls, vaespilon). Also on the fifth plane is a location known as the Heart of The Rift, which is a large, irregularly-beating heart infested with worms.
