Can anyone explain to me what Ildran is referring to by "modding down" in this post? Drew 01:09, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
- When picking locks, if you almost pick the lock (IE, you see the difficulty of the lock but don't actually open it) then the lock becomes easier to pick, requiring a lower roll to open. This can happen and happen again, so, as long as the lock is close to your abilities, even if it is slightly above them, you're pretty much guaranteed to eventually get it open. This is called 'modding down'. - Andy talk 10:24, 18 October 2007 (EDT)
