After doing some alteration in Platinum, I think I need to put a little information up to help ease the alteration process for those that at least read the forums. Let me just say, they have a small chance to fire off the ambient messaging roughly every 6 minutes. There is a good chance you might not see them go off at all in a day. Items with no flares, weighting, sighting, padding, defender, blessing, edging, or TD bonus do not do any ambient messaging. You can bless or guiding light flares (or minor edge a 0x weapon) to cause them to be ambient though. All flare types have several generic messagings programmed into them. Padding, weighting, and sighting do not, and will ONLY go off when you get a custom ambient setting done.

When you do get a custom ambient messaging setting done, it does not nullify the programmed in ones, so it will do those and your custom one. These are suppose to be magical cantrips, illusions, and images that your items "cause." They do not cause permanent things to happen. Armor concealers may not work friendly with them, I didn't test that a heck of a lot. You can PROD your item to turn it on and off, in terms of ambient messaging. You may only get one custom setting done per alteration session, unless I work through the line another time (you know the drill). I'm also very open to working with you on these.
