The juggling Orb is a fluff script that applies to miscellaneous items. It was originally released by Krash in 1999. The following facets are able to be customized by a merchant: number of items, material and magical color. Updated in 2024 for Ebon Gate by GM Xynwen. At Tier 2, PROD sets the juggling messaging to masterful (default), average, or inept.

Analyze

You analyze the red crystal orbs and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

Originally created by GM Krash, these juggling orbs were updated in 2024 by GM Xynwen for re-release at Ebon Gate.  The orbs is Tier 2 of 2.  At Tier 2, you get 3 extra juggling verbs plus you can PROD to select inept, average, or the default masterful juggling messaging.

Verbs:
 * Tier 1:  throw, toss, raise, pat, and poke
  * Tier 2:  flip, kick, lick, and prod

Alteration Info:
  * Item's base, long, and show can be freely altered by any willing merchant.
  * Item must remain a plural set of spherical items suitable for juggling, and the noun must be the plural form (such as orbs, spheres, etc.).
  * You may select the total number of juggling items that is used in messaging, between 3 and 6.
  * You may also select the 'magical' color that is used in some messaging.  Must be a real color and cannot reference things like glittering or sparkling as messaging may use it.
  * In addition, the material it is made of will be referenced in a separate field, so it does not have to be in the alteration.  This is a simple reference (haon, not silver-inlaid haon, e.g.)

You get no sense of whether or not the orbs may be further lightened.

Usage Information

You must be holding the juggling items and standing to use the verbs. Using a verb while hidden or invisible will reveal you. Messaging uses the item's custom settings, shown in italics below. The examples use a trio of silver orbs with 3 orbs, a singular noun of orb, a material of silver, and a magical color of blue-green.

Tier 1/Off-the-Shelf

Off-the-shelf juggling items always use masterful messaging.

After a few moments, you gather up the orbs, ready perhaps to try yet another spectacular deed.	Xynwen drops each of her silver orbs with rhythmic timing, her face etched with interest as they bounce off the surface below. Amazingly, the silver orbs actually return to her waiting hands in a mystical flash of blue-green sparks, and she releases each just in time to catch the next. RAISE	Masterful	With unbelievable dexterity, you manage to balance all three silver orbs in one hand. Smiling, you raise them above your head in preparation for your next dazzling feat. Tier 2

Tier 2 adds FLIP, KICK, LICK, and PROD. PROD cycles the juggling skill from masterful to inept, inept to average, and average back to masterful. The skill level applies to every juggling verb, including those from Tier 1.
