The following, while viewable by all players, may only be used by player shop owners. Shop partners may have access to some of the following usage, as well, but it will be limited compared to the shop owner.
POLICY
SHOP POLICY outputs policy and expectations for shop owners.
- Messaging
SHOP POLICY: 1) Rent is drawn by town once a calendar month. If your shop reaches 3 or more months behind on rent it will be evicted. 2) Each shop must be visited regularly by its owner or partner(s). Failure to visit for 180 days will result in the loss of your shop. Note: A "visit" requires passing through the portal (either alone Thoseor as the leader of a group) into your shop and then using one of the SHOP verb options to check on its status. 3) In the event that your shop is reclaimed by the Shop Permit Authority, your inventory will be held by the permit clerk (in a box identified by your name on the floor of the Shop Permit Authority office) for a maximum of 90 days, after which it will be permanently lost. If you do not see your crate, ask the permit authority about your crate. 4) If a shop owner fails to check into their shop for 90 days the partner can take over the shop by means of an ASSIST. If more than one partner is on the shop, all partners will need to give consent to a single partner. If an agreement cannot be made, the shop will be evicted. If the original owner returns, they cannot reclaim the shop from the new owner without their consent. This will be handled on a case by case situation and is not a guarantee. 5) In the event of a partner being removed from a shop, all belongings and earnings will be crated up and moved into storage. Removed partners have 90 days to reclaim their belongings before the stored crate will be destroyed and lost forever. To retrieve your crate, visit the local authority and ask them for your crate. 6) Free to play accounts are not eligible to own a shop. If a free to play account is found to be the owner of a shop they will have up to 30 days to subscribe. If they are unable to do so, their shop will be repossessed. 7) Multi-room shops are for premium subscribers only. If you are found having a multi-room shop and you are not a premium subscriber you will have up to 30 days to resolve the issue. You can SHOP DOWNSIZE in each side room or resubscribe to a premium membership. Failure to do so will result in an eviction. 8) All shop owners must adhere and abide by the shop policies. Failure to do so will result in an immediate eviction from your shop. 9) Exploitation of any shop mechanics are considered to be a Game Mechanics Abuse which could result in loss of your shop, temporary lockout, or a permanent ban depending on the severity.
