The Gnomic Candy Press is a multi-year upgradable special item associated with the Rumor Woods Tourney Vault. It debuted in 2025 and was created by GM Thandiwe. |
The Gnomic Candy Press was released as part of April 2025's Rumor Woods Tourney Vault and was created by GM Thandiwe. It creates 10 pieces of candy when honey and a foraged fruit or berry are added to the machine. It must have a roller inside and comes out of the Tourney Vault with a "bear-cut" roller. Other rollers can be obtained in the shop Honeyed Gears. |
The Candy Press is a highly scripted item that can make plain and magical candy from various ingredients. It must have a Candy Maker Roller inside to function. It came out of the 2025 Tourney Vault with a "bear-cut" roller. Additional rollers can be obtained in the shop Honeyed Gears. |
If you pour a grot t'kel potion on the roller, you have 10% chance to produce magical candy via the next batch made. You can tell the difference between a magical candy and a non-magical candy by the stamp impressed into the magical candy. This magical candy can then be imbedded with a spell. |
The 2026 upgrade to the Gnomic Candy Press allows for two presses from subsequent years to be ADDed together. This unlocks the Resin Press feature. The Resin Press adds a FLIP, which allows players to toggle between candy creation mode and resin mode. In resin mode, you can use glue to create figurines, sculptures, beads, and effigies. Like the Candy Press, the Resin Press requires a roller to function. |
As with many other Tourney Vault special items, you can BREAK the Candy Press to permanently destroy it and get an experience modifying orb instead. |

Compact and sturdy, the machine features twin side cylinders, one crafted to hold fruit and the other designed to house honey. Centrally positioned, a channel is designed to guide the combined liquids from each cylinder to the melting basin, which has a pour spout over a space where candy rollers can rest. A long crank handle extends from the side, ensuring smooth operation, while a wide footer provides stability. Affixed to the frame, a small plaque bears the inscription: "The Candy Press of 5125, a Fryc and Shives Invention." |

You analyze the candy making machine and sense that the creator has provided the following information: |
Introducing the Gnomic Candy Press, now in resin-molding mode! Brought to you by the ingenious burghal gnome duo of Fryc and Shives, this device has been modified to produce resin figurines, sculptures, and beads in addition to its original candy-making function. |
How does it work? |
It's easy! With these simple steps, you too can be an amazing artisan! |
Step 1: PUSH a CANDY ROLLER into the press. |
Step 2: POUR some FLETCHING GLUE into the press. |
Step 3: TINKER with the press to create your resin items! |
Each application creates 10 pieces in your tray. The type of item produced depends on the roller currently installed: |
Figurines are produced by rollers featuring humanoids, monsters, and animals. It will create 5. |
Sculptures are produced by rollers featuring inanimate objects. It will create 5. |
Beads are produced by rollers featuring abstract shapes. It will create 10. |
To remove glue from the press, TURN the press to open the release valve. |
To switch back to candy-making mode, make sure the press is completely empty and FLIP it. |
Pour a grot t'kel potion onto a roller, then PUSH it into the press to unlock a chance at creating a magic figurine or sculpture. For each one produced, there is a 10% chance it will become magical, |
allowing it to have magic IMBEDDED within. |
Item Composition |
Figurines are named for their design: a grizzly bear figurine, an elven warrior figurine, and so on. Sculptures follow the same pattern: a leather boot sculpture, an iron kettle sculpture. |
Beads take the shape name directly: a star bead, a crescent bead, a spiral bead. |
Roller Compatibility |
All candy rollers are compatible with both modes of this device. If a roller predates the dual-mode update, you will be prompted to return it to your roller holder to refresh it before use in resin mode. |
Alterations |
You may alter your device, but the LOOK is hard-coded, so please make sure your short and/or long description make sense. |

Compact and sturdy, the press features a central resin basin flanked by two narrow feed channels. A flow control valve at the base governs the release of glue, should any be loaded into the mold channel, which is positioned directly over a series of a leaf-cut metal rollers. A long crank handle extends from the side, ensuring smooth operation, while a wide footer provides stability. A small lever along the frame suggests the device has more than one purpose. Affixed to the frame, a small plaque bears the inscription: "The Resin Press of 5126, a Fryc and Shives Invention." |

The Resin Press is the second year unlock for the Gnomic Candy Maker. To create it, you must ADD one Gnomic Candy Press to another. Using FLIP on the unlocked device allows you to swap between the Candy Press and Resin Press mode. |

Candy Jar |
The Resin Press uses the same rollers to produce different results. Instead of adding honey, fruit, or berries, glue is added to the machine to create one of several designs. Rollers that have animals, humanoids, and monsters will produce figurines; object rollers will produce sculptures; leaves and shapes will produce beads; and items that look like an arkati holy symbol will produce effigies. |
This is designed to hold the Gnomic Candy Machine candies that can be obtained from the Rumor Woods Vault. |

How does it work? |
It must remain some kind of glass jar, though the following nouns are okay: jar, container, receptacle. |
For each one produced, there is a 10% chance it will become magical, allowing it to have magic IMBEDDED within. |
Item Composition |
It has the following actions: GLANCE (see the stored items), PLUCK (remove a stored item), PUT (add an item), and WHISPER (move the items to make them easier to pluck) |
The jar can hold 45 unique candies that stack. |
All candy rollers are compatible with both modes of this device. If a roller predates the dual-mode update, you will be prompted to return it to your roller holder to refresh it before use in resin mode. |
Alterations |
They will not house magical candy. |
You may alter your device, but the LOOK is hard-coded, so please make sure your short and/or long description make sense. |

The Gnomic Candy Press is a multi-year upgradable special item associated with the Rumor Woods Tourney Vault. It debuted in 2025 and was created by GM Thandiwe. Candy PressThe Candy Press is used to make candy from various ingredients. It creates 10 pieces of candy when honey and a foraged fruit or berry are added to the machine. It must have a Candy Maker Roller inside to function. By pouring a grot t'kel potion onto the roller, you have 10% chance to produce magical candy via the next batch made. You can tell the difference between a magical candy and a non-magical candy by the stamp impressed into the magical candy. This magical candy can then be imbedded with a spell. Normal candy can be stored inside of a Candy Jar.AnalyzeIntroducing the Gnomic Candy Press, the finest confection-crafting contraption ever to clatter through the halls of invention, proudly brought to you by the ingenious burghal gnome duo of Fryc and Shives. How does it work? It's easy! With these simple steps, you, too, can be an amazing confectioner! Step 1: PUSH a CANDY ROLLER into the machine. Step 2: PUT a foraged FRUIT or BERRY into the machine. Step 3: POUR some HONEY into the machine. Step 4: TINKER with the machine to create your candy! Each application creates 10 pieces of candy in your dish, and each candy is always 2 bites. But wait, there is more! If you visit Fryc and Shives' shop at Rumor Woods, you can purchase additional rollers that let you change the design of your candy! While the candy-making machine's LOOK can't be altered, (How do you change perfection?!), its candies can be. Why, there are 80 different flavors of candy available! And you can even change up those flavors by complementing it with different types of honey! So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the Gnomic Candy Press today! Magic Candy Opportunity Pour a grot t'kel potion onto a roller, then PUSH it into the machine to unlock a chance at creating magic candy. For each candy produced, there is a 10% chance it will become magical, allowing it to have magic IMBEDDED within. Magic Stamps You may customize the magic stamp on your machine. It is currently set to: a zig-zagging bumble bee Alterations You may alter your device but the LOOK is hard-coded, so please make sure your short and/or long description make sense. Additionally, you may customize your seal. The seal can be no more than 45 characters and will always be preceded by "stamped with." [Dual-mode is not unlocked. To unlock it, simply ADD another candy-making machine to it.] Usage
Resin PressThe Resin Press is the second year unlock for the Gnomic Candy Maker. To create it, you must ADD one Gnomic Candy Press to another. Using FLIP on the unlocked device allows you to swap between the Candy Press and Resin Press mode. The Resin Press uses the same rollers to produce different results. Instead of adding honey, fruit, or berries, glue is added to the machine to create one of several designs. Rollers that have animals, humanoids, and monsters will produce figurines; object rollers will produce sculptures; leaves and shapes will produce beads; and items that look like an arkati holy symbol will produce effigies.AnalyzeIntroducing the Gnomic Candy Press, now in resin-molding mode! The type of item produced depends on the roller currently installed: Figurines are produced by rollers featuring humanoids, monsters, and animals. For each one produced, there is a 10% chance it will become magical, allowing it to have magic IMBEDDED within. Item Composition Figurines are named for their design: a grizzly bear figurine, an elven warrior figurine, and so on. Sculptures follow the same pattern: a leather boot sculpture, an iron kettle sculpture. Beads take the shape name directly: a star bead, a crescent bead, a spiral bead. Roller Compatibility All candy rollers are compatible with both modes of this device. If a roller predates the dual-mode update, you will be prompted to return it to your roller holder to refresh it before use in resin mode. Alterations You may alter your device, but the LOOK is hard-coded, so please make sure your short and/or long description make sense. [This device is currently in resin-molding mode. FLIP the press to switch to candy-making mode.] Usage
Additional InformationAlterationsThe Gnomic Candy Press has a hard-coded LOOK/SHOW description that cannot be altered. It can support an altered short or long description.
Affixed to the frame, a small plaque bears the inscription: "The Candy Press of 5125, a Fryc and Shives Invention."
Affixed to the frame, a small plaque bears the inscription: "The Resin Press of 5126, a Fryc and Shives Invention." See Also |
