;Group Fogging to Icemule Trace from inside The Rift
To use it, simply RAISE the emerald while you're in the Rift and you and your party will be transported to [[Icemule Trace]]. The emerald will be consumed on use.

;Granting a Deed
It has one other use -- and this one can be used OUTSIDE the Rift (unlike the fogging feature, which is just limited to inside the Rift). If you have more than 20,000 silvers on you and you RAISE it, you'll receive a deed at the cost of the 20,000 silvers. This is true for every member in your group that has more than 20,000 silvers on them as well. This is also true in the fogging scenario -- if you raise the emerald with more than 20k + you will fog AND receive a deed. 20k for a deed is rather costly, but again, if you're in the Rift coins are just a waste anyway.

By weight, emeralds are the most valuble gems in the real world, though value can be reduced by inclusions. In Elanthia, emeralds remain high in value. Emeralds are a type of beryl that are colored green by chromium or sometimes iron. Like all beryls, they are formed within water and therefore contain water molecules.[1]

Emeralds are symbols of many Arkati. Aeia and Imaera are each symbolized by the emerald due to their attachments to nature, while followers of Luukos favors emeralds due to the association with poison and snakes. Additionally, it is said that Koar has eyes of an emerald-green hue, which is related to the existence to the Eye-of-Koar emerald.

Elementally, emeralds are attuned to earth.

List of Emeralds

Note: The rarities listed are estimates and depend on the status of the treasure system in the area hunted. Average values listed are approximations and are generally taken from the sell values of a character selling gems with no trading bonus. a dragon's-tear emerald

When light glances over its exterior at certain angles, it reflects back in a startling sky-blue shade rather than ordinary white.
