This is a canvas tent. It must remain a canvas tent. You can have a long description only for the standing version of the tent as long as the description includes "canvas tent." The interior of the tent may be changed by some merchants, but remember that we're roughing it. No frilly silky pillows! This is camping!

You can STAND the tent to pitch it, and FOLD it to take it down. You can also CLEAN, LEAN, or KNOCK on the tent.

This is a standard tent and will be knocked down by hostile creatures. The owner may have one guest.

This tent can be lightened by one pound until it reaches five pounds.

Tier 1

First tier tents hold 2 people only, including the owner. Tents are not critter proof; you may not STAND your tent while enemies are present, and if a creature enters while the tent is standing, the tent will collapse and knock you, your guest, and your stuff out. Tents will collapse after 20 minutes of the owner not being inside. Guests will be tossed out if the tent collapses. You have five minutes to fold up the tent before the janitor will clean it up. Tents and items left on the ground in tents are subject to normal game mechanics and will not be returned if lost.

Tier 2

Large tents won via raffle or auction are exempt from creature rules and can be pitched with critters present, and will not collapse when critters are present. The capacity of these large tents is 4 peoeple.

Additional Information

  • A tent that is standing can be left unattended for 'about 25 minutes' before it will fold. Be aware that GM advice is to not leave it unattended for certainty.
  • In its folded state (example - a collapsed blue canvas tent) on the ground, 'it is subject to normal loss mechanics' including the janitor.
  • Anything that causes a tent to fold, including interactions from critters and other effects will put it in this vulnerable state.
  • A tent will not collapse if it is occupied, unless a creature knocks it over or you were to die.
