How do I use talk pages? I've only ever lurked Wiki content.

You just did. Basically, every page has its own talk page ('Discussion' tab at the top). You can add comments by navigating to the talk page, then clicking the "Edit" or "+" tab. You will be forwarded to an edit page, and you type whatever you wish. If you do this specifically on user talk pages, then that user is notified on their next log-in that they have message(s) waiting for them (and receive Email notification if turned on). At the end of your comment, be sure to auto-sign with your username and a timestamp, all you have to enter is four tildes (like this: ~~~~) after the text. You can hit the preview button at the bottom to see what it looks like.

I am going to create a gear difficulty modifier page that has all three of the templates together on one page along with a description of what the gear difficulty modifier is, at which time I will revert your change. To me it's not useful information and just takes up space. You don't train in the ability, you get it automatically once you achieve a certain rank in the weapon skill. You don't train in the ability to increase the ranks of it, you get those automatically once you achieve the necessary rank in the weapon skill. Why do I need a table telling me "all 5 ranks are free" when the notation on the page already says that: "you increase ranks in the ability as you gain weapon ranks." It's a case of a similar system (PSM) being lumped into the wiki design of another system (CMAN/armor/shield). I think ALL skills that are free to learn (and done automatically) should have the table removed.

Thank you for your prompt response, WINTERDAWN. I spoke with the wiki team and we would prefer that the templates stay there. While they may seem extraneous, people are used to looking in that spot for the information on cost. This provides consistency as individuals look for the information. Hi, WINTERDAWN. I just wanted to give you a head's up on why I reverted your changes to Template:Wood_Rarity_and_Use to remove the redlined links added. The additional links were all to existing real world trees that are not unique to Elanthia. While it is certainly fine for someone to eventually make pages for individual trees and add those links back in to the template, none of the trees with redlined links had anything unique to them in an Elanthian setting apart from their real world equivalents. Thank you for all of the contributions you've made toward archiving all of the Elanthian Journals! Just as a reminder, please use [[Category:Marked for Deletion]] on a page when you would like it deleted. I went ahead and deleted the Journal pages you had cleared and replaced with the text, "Things to be deleted by Simu Admin." because your intent appeared to be very clear, however using the Category instead would make it easier for any mods to see those pages as part of weekly patrols for page deletion requests.
