A bonus that directly affects Defensive Strength.
Most commonly, permanent Defensive bonuses are in the form of enchantments upon shields, armor, and rarely other wearable items (known as DB items). It can also be granted by a rare enhancement found on some weapons (known as Defender weapons).
Meanwhile, temporary Defensive bonuses are available in the form of a wide variety of enhancer spells. There are many such spells, though the most common ones encountered include Spirit Defense (103), Mass Blur (911), Mass Elemental Defense (419), and Mass Colors (611).
