• Jousting - There are two entrances to jousting. One will support the Beetle Team and the other the Spider Team. When you enter, you select your equipment (though you can use your own) and a mount (though you can use your own). Fr

1. Present your sunburst marker at the entry table. (GO ENTRY TABLE)
2. Select a mount from the paddock. (GET [MOUNT])
3. Select a lance from the weapon rack. (GET [LANCE])
4. Select a shield from the shield display. (GET [SHIELD])
5. Present yourself at the entry table again. (GO ENTRY TABLE)

Announcement 3 - Expansions at Summit Academy

Elenesse Atelier
There are two new rooms appearing at Elenesse Atelier this year, they are:

Teaser 1 - Baker's Rack

Debuting at Rumor Woods is the Baker's Rack! This is a storage device and cooking assistant.

It serves as an -inator storage stacking device for cooking staple ingredients - sugar, flour, etc.

It also serves as an assistant, looking through the stored items and matching them against an indicated recipe to identify what is missing or help you put the ingredients together for cooking.

These will be available in the store Breaking Bread.

This is a Baker's Rack.  It is designed to store cooking utensils and ingredients.  Pantry staples can be stacked. 
PUT items into it to store them.  Cooking pantry staples can be stacked weightlessly; other cooking-related items are stored normally.
This small pantry does not belong to you, but the owner has offered to share.
LOOK IN the pantry to see the stored items.
TURN - To retrieve a single dose of a stored pantry staple, TURN the pantry to cycle through the items, or TURN the pantry TO the number from LOOK to select that item directly.
PLUCK - PLUCK out a single dose of the selected ingredient.
PUSH - When it's time to make a recipe, PUSH a recipe card or cookbook at the pantry to decide which recipe to make, then PUSH the pantry.  You will evaluate whether you have the correct utensil and all necessary ingredients or determine which, if any, are missing.  If the recipe requires heat, all of the items will be moved to the correct receptacle for your next step; if not, you will quickly make the recipe creation.

You prepare yourself to utilize the contents of a small pantry to make ball of cobbler dough. PUSH the pantry to continue.

You take stock of the contents of the small pantry and note that you are missing the following to follow the recipe for ball of cobbler dough:

You add your dried oats to an empty cubby in the small pantry.

Grabbing all of the ingredients necessary to make ball of cobbler dough from the small pantry, you add them to a mixing bowl and mix them together to create a ball of cobbler dough. You lift the dough from the bowl.

Found something tasty while foraging? Drop your fresh fruit or berries into the Sangria Carafe, then pour in red or white wine to let the magic begin. Once filled, the carafe will serve up to six glasses of sangria, each with custom flavor messages based on your chosen ingredients. There are 160 unique combinations for you to try!

Not a wine drinker? No problem. Pour out the wine and keep the wine-soaked fruit for yourself. Sweet, simple, and absolutely delicious. Cheers!

You analyze the round glass fiasco and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

Sangria Carafe

The glass carafe can have fruit placed into it and then wine poured over it, creating sangria.

Once the sangria is made, it can be poured into other drinking containers provided they are crafted of glass.

It can house up to 5 pieces of fruit. The fruit can be varied or the same but must always be a FORAGED fruit or berry.

Alterations:

You may alter it freely provided it is always fashioned of glass and some kind of amphore, bottle, carafe, decanter, ewer, fiasco, jug, pitcher, or vessel.

POUR wine into the fiasco or POUR the fiasco while holding an appropriate drinking vessel to share your sangria.

Each carafe can make up to six servings of sangria.

GAZE and SPIN are fluff commands.

You drop pieces of fuzzy peach into your round glass fiasco, the fruit settling at the bottom in a colorful heap, ready for the wine to follow.

You pour a glass of red wine into your round glass fiasco, the pale honey liquid cascading over the fruit at the bottom. The pieces shift and swirl as the wine rises above the line of fruit.

Holding a wide-necked round glass fiasco skirted in sun-dried grass up to the ambient light, you gaze at the pale honey wine within as it casts a vibrant glow over the fruit collected near the bottom. Pieces of kiwi, peach, and grapes float and settle, their colors mingling beautifully with the liquid's rich hue.

You tilt a wide-necked round glass fiasco skirted in sun-dried grass, allowing the pale honey liquid to flow smoothly into your clear green goblet. A piece of peach slides along with the stream, plopping into the waiting goblet with a satisfying splash.

You analyze the clear green goblet and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

Sangria (drink)

Filled with sangria, a bronze-lipped clear green goblet has the following available actions:

GAZE, PLUCK, POUR, SMELL, and SPIN

1) The pleasing notes of blackberry and orange peel mingle with the complexities of mushrooms, minerals, and roasted oak flavors, leading to a long warm finish.
2) As you swirl the wine in your mouth blackberry and cherry mingle with aromas of coffee and smoke.  Pepper and plum linger on your tongue.

You lift your clear green goblet to your nose, tilting it slightly as you take a slow, deliberate inhale, savoring the aroma wafting from the goblet. Blackberry and orange peel intertwine with earthy mushrooms and oak, uplifted by grapes.

You slowly spin your clear green goblet, the pale honey liquid swirling gracefully. Pieces of kiwi and other fruit bob and drift lazily, their colors shimmering through the wine.

• You lift your clear green goblet to the moonlight, tilting it slightly to get a better view. Pieces of peach and other fruit glimmer within the pale honey liquid, their shapes and colors refracted through the glass in a dazzling array.

You reach into your clear green goblet, carefully pinching a piece of wine-soaked kiwi between your fingers. The pale honey wine clings to the fruit as you lift it free, droplets trailing back into the glass.

Feeling a bit bookish? Burdened by the weight of knowledge? Tired of endless papercuts as you rummage for just the right scroll? Well, I can't help that. But what I can do is this...

The shop "Tomeward Bound" will be opening at Rumor Woods for the 2025 run. This shop will be selling a new item: Spell Books! These books allow players to transfer spells off of scrolls, similar to sigil staves, while providing a few unique abilities:

- Tier 1 (5,000 raikhen): Transfer up to six (6) spells to the book and `INVOKE` them when needed.
- Tier 2 (2,500 raikhen): Displays the exact number of charges for each slot (up to 40 charges/slot).
- Tier 3 (25,000 raikhen): A chosen spell slot can be refreshed 1x/day. War spells will refresh fully up to 40 charges while non-war spells will refresh 1 charge.
- Tier 4 (100,000 raikhen): The book may be used 1x/day to gain Fash'lo'nae's Knowledge (1750).
- Page Addon (10,000 raikhen): Adds another page to the book, up to 5. Each page contains 6 slots.
- RP Addon (500 raikhen): Adds a number of RP verbs to the book: `flip`, `snap`, `touch`, `brush`, `rub`, `raise`, and `point`.

Q&A:

- _When happens if the scroll has more charges than the book can hold?_ The book will transfer charges up to the maximum (40) and leave the remaining charges on the scroll.
- _Can SK spells (vibrant ink) spells be transferred?_ Unfortunately, SK scrolls cannot be transfered to the book.
- _How do I transfer spells to the book?_ Use `ponder` to select which slot the spell should go into (1-6) and then use the `transfer` verb, similar to sigil staves.
- _What happens when I use the last charge of a spell?_ The spell slot will become empty and available for transfering another spell.
- _I don't want this spell anymore. Do I have to use all of the charges?_ The book has a `scratch` verb that lets you remove a spell, making that slot available for use again.

- _What happens to a scroll when it is transferred off of?_ The scroll will become locked and unable to be infused/recharged. - _Is there a cap on the spell level that can be transferred?_ Only spells below level 20 may be transferred. - _Is there any limitation on spells that can be recharged?_ All spells below level 20 can be transferred, but the spell must be findable on scrolls to be recharged. - _What happens if I hold a runestaff and this item?_ Holding this item in the offhand will not reduce runestaff DS. 🧙‍♂️ - _Can this item be attuned?_ Yes.

Teaser 5 - Origami Updates

With more thanks than I can even begin to express to GM Ethereal, I am happy to bring you an expansion to Origami. It involves some "beneath-the-hood" updates so I can look at different fun stuff going forward (like ways to use a folded object besides just folding and unfolding it), and two new (and probably final) training levels.

ORIGAMI GLUE: Unlocked when you reach Adept level in Origami, this will allow you to permanently affix your folded object. While there may not be a use case scenario for this yet, it is part of the updates needed for those future expansions. There is no additional cost or training needed for this -- if you have Adept level or above already, or when you attain that level, you will have the ability to use ORIGAMI GLUE once these changes have been made live.

New Patterns: Several new patterns have been added for the various locales that sell them

New Level - Teacher: This level (the 9th) comes after Artist and will require a total of 18,000 folds (7,000 more after Artist) to reach. Until this is rolled live for Rumor Woods, your folds at Artist level won't count toward it.

Cost: 10,000 event scrip (raikhen for RW)

Benefits:

• Unique pre-name title: Origami Instructor
• New pattern at unlock: an origami Rumor Woods
• If someone has already unlocked the origami skill, someone at Teacher level can advance them to Basic, Proficient, and Advanced, using ORIGAMI TEACH.

New Level - Professor: This level (the 10th and probably last) comes after Teacher and will require a total of 25,000 folds (7,000 more after Teacher) to reach.

Cost: 25,000 event scrip (raikhen for RW)

• A dye-spattered dyer says, "I can mix up the perfect color of dye for you. You can choose from a selection of options for me to mix the perfect dye for you. ASK me about COLORS, SHADES, FINISHES, and SUFFIX. You can ask me about STATUS to hear your current selection, and ASK me to PURCHASE when you are ready. If you need ideas, you can ask me about RANDOM."

A dye-spattered dyer says, "How about gold-flecked scarlet-sheened dye?"

You pour your scarlet-sheened dye on your berry paint, completely coating the item. The liquid soon dries, leaving you with a vial of gold-flecked scarlet-sheened paint. You have 9 doses of the dye left.

You analyze the scarlet-sheened paint and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

This is for use with fletching. You can use the vial of paint to color the shaft of an arrow, bolt or dart before attaching fletchings to make them **scarlet-sheened**. The color is dependant solely on the adjective. The adjective should ONLY contain the color. Placing anything else in there will make painted projectiles not make sense.
