Level is a measure of how experienced a character is in Elanthia. Higher-leveled characters are generally more powerful and possess a larger variety and depth of skill than their less-experienced counterparts. Characters begin with no level and can progress to a maximum of level 100 ("cap") with the opportunity to gain further skills indefinitely. A character's level grows by gaining experience, which is generally achieved through accomplishing Adventurer's Guild goals or hunting creatures around the character's current level. New skill ranks can be acquired up to a limit either equal to, double, or triple the character's levels (counting level 0 as a level), depending on the particular skill and profession involved.
Statistics also increase with level, based on their growth rate.
The experience needed to reach the next level is based on the character's current level.
- The interval between levels increases 2500 for each of the first 15 levels (i.e. 12500 exp to get level 6, 15000 to get level 7)
- The interval between levels increases 2000 for each level between 16 and 25 (i.e. 53000 to get to level 24, 55000 to get to level 25)
- The interval between levels increases 1500 for each level between 26 and 40
- The interval between levels increases 1000 for each level between 41 and 50
- The interval between levels increases 500 for each level between 51 and 100
At level 100, each 2500 exp gained gains 1 Mental and 1 Physical Training Point.
