Unconscious is a negative status condition. When under its effects, the afflicted party is asleep and unable to act. The target may also have been rendered prone by falling unconscious. Any hostile action will wake the afflicted.
Undead are typically immune to this effect, but may be affected by the Symbol of Sleep society power. Constructs and Elementals are generally unaffected.
