Arrows are primarily used as ammunition for short bows, long bows and composite bows. While light bolts and heavy bolts serve the same purpose with light and heavy crossbows, respectively.
When used as a ranged weapon, the arrow or bolt uses the statistics provided by the missile weapon which launches it. When used as a melee weapon in the right hand, the arrow/bolt makes use of the edged weapon skill to attack and brawling skill to parry and have their own damage table.
